Pakistan instability deepens with the news that President Pervez Musharraf resigned. Pakistan's pro-Western government is in shambles. His departure could trigger further instability for the nuclear-armed U.S. ally if the country's fractious coalition government can't hold together without its common enemy.
While Washington benefited from having Pakistan's cooperation since 9/11 that could all change with this move.
Prophetically speaking, this news is big considering the recent developments involving Iran, Russia, Georgia, NATO, and now Poland.
***UPDATE: Even Syria wants in on the action as all the key pieces of this prophetic puzzle are lining up for their predetermined role in history.***
Plus, as Jack Kinsella suggests in one of his recent columns, the threat of an Indo-Pakistani war is very real with the political unrest in Pakistan today.
His conclusion to that piece is appropriate here...
"The Bible divides the world in the last days into four spheres of regional power; the Antichrist's Western empire, the Islamic Kings of the South, (Islamic North Africa and the southern Mediterranean states) the Gog-Magog Alliance and the 'Kings of the East.' The Antichrist's Western Empire is under construction. The Gog-Magog Alliance is already in place. Islamic North Africa, as a power bloc, is on the rise. What remains to be defined is the alliance John calls 'the Kings of the East.' We may soon witness the emergence of that alliance. 'For when these things BEGIN to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your head, for your redemption draweth nigh,' Jesus said. To paraphrase Winston Churchill, this may not be the end. It may not even be the beginning of the end. But we are well past the end of the beginning. Stay tuned."
