Let The World Decide?

Seems as though each and every day lately we have a new major headline emerging that involves the tiny state of Israel, which is a piece of land roughly the size of Texas.

Yesterday, we highlighted several "wars and rumors of wars" type of headlines, and today our focus is on the status of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount - two key pieces to the prophetic puzzle.

RaidersNewsNetwork said it best with their, "
Olmert Get's An Antichrist Of An Idea: Let A World Council Decide The Fate Of Jerusalem, Temple Mount" headline.

Get this! Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has proposed to Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas that the international community participate in helping to determine the status of Jerusalem. The international community's role would be that of advisors, but would give it large media exposure in attempts to divide the city and make it a shared capital of both Israel and a new Arab country. One U.S. plan for Jerusalem was divided into timed phases, and among other things called for Israel eventually to consider forfeiting parts of the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site.
Meanwhile, economic misery, coupled with multiple hurricanes off the coasts and bad Middle East company, has the Bush administration feverishly focused on forcing the infamous Roadmap to Peace into immediate implementation. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is scurrying about in an attempt to finalize a performance-based two-state solution in the Holy Land while the ancient enemies of Israel are restocking their deadly arsenals.

Bill Salus (author of Isralestine) had this to say amongst other things in a column he wrote yesterday, "Modern-day Israel miraculously exists in fulfillment of Bible prophecy, and unless the Judeo-Christian Jehovah fibbed about Abraham's future fortunes in Genesis 15:18, portions of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Saudi Arabia belong to, and are about to be possessed by, the modern-day Jewish state. Call it ridiculous or illogical, but it is an inheritance dating back 4,000 years. In fact, it is this title deed that the ancient enemies of Israel have contested from time immemorial. The tiny 'small notch' of land the world calls Israel today is nowhere near the size and scope their G-d intended homeland. For 60 years, the international community has unsuccessfully attempted to negotiate a Middle East solution, and a flimsy, inflammatory 'Roadmap' is its best foot forward. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your point of view, the days of antiquated declarations, partition plans and politically brokered real estate deals have concluded for the 'Chosen.'"

Amen! Friends, we're seeing the fulfillment of prophecy before our very eyes! Are you ready for what lies ahead? Have you told those in your sphere of influence (family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, strangers) their time is short? If not, this might be a good place for them to start.

Let the world decide? Why don't we defer to our Lord and Savior and let Him decide what happens to Israel, Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount? Oh, that's right! He already did!
