What We're Praying/Talking About

Our faith in action, or our small contribution in trying to apply what we're taught in Hebrews 5-6 and James 2:17-26 for the benefit of our dear brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ...

All Hail The King!

Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries wrote a prophetically relevant column today - one of epic proportions and sobering conclusions - following the results of yesterday's election. Please take some time to read this article if you want to know where we are on God's prophetic timeline.

Afterwards, as a quick follow-up, check out this link for additional insight regarding how the world is simply euphoric over the idea of Barack Obama serving as their world leader for the next 4 years.

Here are a few teasers that should also give any true Christian serious pause if you know your Bible and the end times prophecies contained within it:

QUOTES (thanks to Jubilee On Earth)

"He walks into a room and you want to follow him somewhere, anywhere." George Clooney

"I'll do whatever he says to do. I'll collect paper cups off the ground to make his pathway clear." Halle Berry

"Many even see in Obama a messiah-like figure, a great soul, and some affectionately call him Mahatma Obama." Dinesh Sharma, a doctor of psychology from Harvard

"What Barack Obama has accomplished is the single most extraordinary event that has occurred in the 232 years of the nation’s political history. The event itself is so extraordinary that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its significance." Jesse Jackson, Jr.

"He is not operating on the same plane as ordinary politicians. . . . the agent of transformation in an age of revolution, as a figure uniquely qualified to open the door to the 21st century." Gary Hart

"He won’t just heal our city-states and souls. He won’t just bring the Heavenly Kingdom — dreamt of in both Platonism and Christianity — to earth. He will heal the earth itself." Micah Tillman, a lecturer in philosophy at The Catholic University of America

NEWS HEADLINES AND PHOTOS

This last photo was published with the caption "First Truly Global U.S. President" on Yahoo!. Amazing. For all their cries and protests that we need "separation of church and state" show me one Liberal Democrat who has the courage to stand up and call out his or her party over this blatant hypocrisy. That reminds me, one blogger astutely asked, If Obama really is a true Christian who believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior then certainly he should know the severity of allowing anyone to attempt to attach a messiah-label to him and his presidency. With such descriptions rising to a fever pitch after the election, where is Obama to publicly denounce such characterizations or, at the very least, tell people to tone it down a bit?

Friends, I'm not about to sit here and tell you that I believe that Obama is the prophesied Antichrist because I don't believe that. However, I will sit here and tell you that I firmly believe with all my faith that this is VERY significant prophetically speaking, and his election puts us that much closer to the complete fulfillment of the end times scenario.

I urge you with all of my heart to share Jesus Christ and His Gospel with anyone and everyone that you can. Time is running out. For us believers, we can take comfort knowing what that means for us in the very near future, but it should sadden us greatly to think of the millions who will never listen to what we have to say or take it to heart. They are truly deceived. Pray for them.

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near." Luke 21:28

Keep looking up!

Wow, I didn't see that front page of the Telegraph. Unbelievable!

Great article. I, too, think that this was significant. When Christians are feeling down and disappointed, we should remember that there is a reason for everything. I believe that this is all happening for a reason. And that reason is Biblical Prophecy.

God bless!

sambornagain,

First, thanks for visiting and for commenting. I hope you will come back and encourage others to visit as well so that we can all take part in the discussion.

You know, the more I spend time praying, studying Scripture, and soul-searching I'm beginning to wonder if we're a lot closer to the Rapture than even we think.

For some reason, the one thought I can't get out of my head right now is how I need to examine God's Word for myself to get the truth because there have been a multitude of scholars who have thrown their perspective into the prophetic ring so to speak and it becomes to easy to "take their word for it" and accept their interpretations at face value.

Something tells me that could be why Jesus warns us to keep watch so that the day and the hour doesn't sneak up on us despite all the signs around us.

Thanks again for visiting. I look forward to getting to know you here in this forum.

YBIC,

Jeff (JRed)
