What We're Praying/Talking About

Our faith in action, or our small contribution in trying to apply what we're taught in Hebrews 5-6 and James 2:17-26 for the benefit of our dear brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ...

Another Perspective

I thought it would be appropriate to share with you another perspective on the events from this past week from a secular source rather than simply provide you with another religious one.

"Birds of a feather flock together..." is a favorite saying of mine because it's so true (unless of course you're Barack Hussein Obama and questions his associates), and I'll admit that I'm guilty of looking to other prophecy websites for confirmation and support of my own interpretation and analysis. Obviously, the risk there is that you're not seeing things for what they really are or, at the very least, missing out on finding another way of looking at things.

All that being said, I would like to share a recent column from Douglas J. Hagmann the Director of the Northeast Intelligence Network. He's also the CEO of a multi-state licensed private investigative agency serving many Fortune 500 clients. A 21-year veteran of conducting investigations in the private sector, he has logged over 35,000 hours of covert surveillance in his career and is the author of Tactical Surveillance. He is a member of the International Counter- Terrorism Officers Association and possesses many law enforcement related training certifications. He has also been used as an operational asset by federal law enforcement and various police departments, and has performed over 4,000 civil and criminal investigations throughout the United States. Needless to say, an intelligent and well-respected man within his profession.

Following the attacks of September 11, 2001, Hagmann began using his investigative skills and training to fight terrorism and increase public awareness by establishing the Northeast Intelligence Network. The group is comprised of a network of veteran, licensed professional investigators, analysts, military affairs specialists and researchers who have combined their resources in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States by Islamic terrorists. Team members volunteer their time and combine their expertise to fill a specific niche in the private sector to research, investigate, and analyze potential terrorist threats that continue to face the United States.

Hagmann recently wrote a column titled "Another Potential Hostage Crisis For America" on Election Day. It's worth reading entirely because it is a short and to the point analysis of our current geo-political climate.

However, it really caught my attention because it's an honest assessment of things coming from a secular source, and one that risks being ridiculed by his peers given the fact that he asserts this has an obvious prophetic thread to it all.

As mentioned, it's worth reading another perspective like this entirely, but here's an excerpt that stood out to me:

"That said, any person of reasonable sensibilities must ask how, in the short span of less than a decade, a man can arise from virtual obscurity to hold the highest office in the U.S. and become of of the most powerful people in the world. He is a man with a checkered background of associates, who refused to simply provide his own birth certificate to quell rumors of his eligibility to run for the highest office in our country, has undoubtedly been groomed, counseled, and heavily financed by countless questionable associates and backers whose motives, I believe, are not in the best interests of the United States. A significant amount of his funding has been traced to Middle East sources or sources with close Middle East ties. Accordingly, his position as President certainly spells bad news for our only true allies in the Middle East: Israel."

Sobering. Still, Hagmann gives us another astute observation here:

"I don't believe that it is a coincidence that 29 years ago today, Islamic terrorists stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, taking 66 American hostages, later releasing 14. The remaining 52 (two of whom I have spoken to over the last few years) were held hostage, as America was, for 444 days. Most Americans have long since forgotten about the 1979 hostage crisis. One of the Muslim terrorist thugs who was instrumental in the planning and handling of that situation is the current President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a man who Barack Hussein Obama plans to lunch with should he prevail in this election. Another hostage crisis for America is in the making - this time from within."

Continue to pray that God will have mercy on us. More importantly, now is the time to spread the Gospel to anyone and everyone who is willing to receive it.
