Move Towards One-World Religion

Last week, I shared the report that proved how close we actually are to a one-world economy.

Today, I bring you this news on how close we are to a one-world religion as well since Catholics and Muslims open landmark talks at the Vatican.

It was good to hear that the closed meeting started with a Catholic official spelling out the Christian teaching that humans can only approach God through Jesus Christ. As expected, Muslim theologian Seyyed Hossein Nasr responded that such a view excluded non-Christians from salvation and suggested ways to see Islamic parallels to Christian views of God's love.

Therein lies the spiritual deception.

Delegates said the discussion that followed was friendly and respectful, not a clash of opinions. "We need to speak openly so we get to know each other," said one Muslim delegate.

Interestingly, the article also talked about what it described as a "new urgency" regarding this issue. That was very telling too. In fact, Saudi King Abdullah visits the United Nations next week to promote a parallel interfaith dialogue he launched last summer.

This push towards interfaith relations between Christianity and the other major religions of the world was prophesied long ago. It's not surprising that we're seeing this happen in this day and age.

What is exciting is the fact that it's happening AT THE SAME TIME as other "one-world" global initiatives.

Again, for those of you who refuse to accept the fact that we are living in the end times that Jesus talked about and that the Bible described for us this is just more proof that we're a heck of a lot closer to the fulfillment of last days prophecies than even many of us who believe thought.

Consider it all for a moment. When was the last time that world political and religious leaders all got together concurrently to discuss such things? Exactly. It's never happened, and at least not at this level.

Time is short, which means we need to be more active in sharing our faith and the Gospel with others before it's too late. Now is not the time to sit on the sidelines and let others take up the task.

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near." Luke 21:28

Keep looking up!
