Notable Quotable

I'd be remiss if I didn't alert my readers to some, shall we say, "interesting" quotes from over the past few days. Pay close attention to the kinds of words that are being used in each quote. Thanks to sources like Christian Apostasy for things like this:

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has dubbed the current global financial crisis "the birth pangs of this new global order."

Cardinal Stafford At CUA: Obama is "Aggressive, Disruptive and Apocalyptic"

And perhaps the biggest of them all:

"Obama To Endorse Arab Peace Plan"

Now consider Daniel 9:27, "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

U.S. President-elect Barack Obama is planning to base his peacemaking efforts in the Middle East on the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, The Sunday Times reported on Sunday, quoting sources close to Obama.

Based on the Saudi peace plan of February 2002, the Arab Peace Plan calls for a full Israeli withdrawal from all territories taken in the Six Day War, including east Jerusalem, in exchange for normalizing ties with the Arab world.

Quoting an adviser to Obama, the report states that during his visit to the Middle East in July, the President-elect said Israel would be "crazy" to refuse a deal that could "give them peace with the Muslim world."

Friends, now I ask you to look at this latest news item in relation to this commentary from Jack Kelley that was published just yesterday.

So, let's be clear: Obama wants to confirm a peace plan that's already in existence (Arab Peace Plan from 2002).

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near." Luke 21:28

Keep looking up!
