When Illusion Becomes Reality

Bill Blagg III is "changing reality one city at a time" and he may be coming to a city near you.

I learned about this "illusionist" today when I read a news story about how on September 29, 2008 he turned on his tape recorder and recorded what he predicts will be the headlines for this Saturday’s Journal Times and Kenosha News.

The magician and illusionist then packed up the cassette tape containing his predictions and immediately shipped it, via Federal Express, to the Special Events office at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The box has remained sealed - with original labeling and tracking information intact - since its arrival at the university, according to Dwight Vaught, special events coordinator at UW-Parkside.

The sealed box has been displayed publicly on campus, Vaught said, but its contents are known to no one but Blagg. That will all change on Saturday night when the magician’s tape will be played as part of his full-scale, touring illusion show. A member of the audience will remove the tamper tape, open the box and play the cassette, and that moment will be the first time anyone other than Blagg will know his predictions, Vaught said.

If he is wrong, Blagg promises to give $100 cash to all those who were present at Saturday night’s show before the opening of the box. The magician seemed confident, during a recent phone interview from the road, that he won’t have to pay up.

He has a good track record for making such predictions, he said, having accurately predicted headlines for other newspapers including the Oshkosh Northwestern, the Daily Herald in Elgin, Ill., and the Sentinel Press in eastern Iowa. And even though he made the predictions for The Journal Times before the national election took place and the economic crisis was fully realized, he stands by his thoughts of late September.

My own research turned up some interesting facts. Did you know he's from Zion? Zion, Illinois that is. Also, check out this eerie description from his own website...

"Critics call him 'magic’s best kept secret' due to his charming, hilarious, off-the-cuff personality and original mind-blowing illusions. It’s David Copperfield meets Second City! His two hour action-packed, touring show titled; 'A Night of Magic' shatters the barrier between the audience and the stage by infusing an unmatched level of volunteers levitating over 4’ high in the middle of the stage while other volunteers vanish at a moments notice never to be seen again! Bill will even summon the spirit of his great-uncle Manny Rivera live on stage to discover the reason for his disappearance in England! For his latest show, the acclaimed illusionist will levitate a random volunteer from the audience, cut a woman in half vertically, and materialize a snowstorm in his bare hands. The best part is this is just beginning!"

Sounds like fun. Where can I sign up? Obviously, I'm not being serious although I am being serious when I say that, once again, you can see how people and this world are being conditioned to accept what's to come in the very near future.

I wonder if the Antichrist and his minions will even meet any resistance at all. People are just so open to this kind of thing and accepting of it. It's almost as if they crave it.

Here's a promo video I found. Pay close attention to the words - the lyrics - that are being repeated over and over again in the first minute of the song that accompanies the clip. An interesting choice is it not?

Oh yeah, and did you notice that he's backed by Eclipse Entertainment? Well, would you be surprised to know that they bill themselves as providers of "family entertainment since 1985" yet a quick look at their website and some of their enterprises seems to make that claim questionable at best.

For instance, take their "Adam & Eve Models" who look like pornstars in fancy makeup and costumes. In fact, simply click on their "Specialty Acts" button for pictures from various acts and tell me whether or not you think there's anything "wholesome" or "fun-for-the-whole-family" about the types of shows they put on. I wonder how their "Kit Kat Dolls" and "Miss Lillie's Red Garter Review" fits into the whole "family-friendly" environment they're so committed to?

The whole thing smells like
Hedonism (the philosophy that pleasure is of ultimate importance, the most important pursuit) if you ask me.
