America: Time To Pull The Plug?

I'm a little fired up today as would be any red-blooded, freedom-loving American over this story. The line in the sand is being drawn, and the American people continue to be left in the dark as this next URGENT NEWS ITEM will prove.

America, is it time to pull the plug on this
Great Experiment? Unfortunately, it's a question I never thought I hear my fellow Americans ask, but that's precisely what is being discussed across the nation and around the world these days.

Don't believe me? Guess what our state governments have been doing behind our backs?
Tom DeWeese, who runs the American Policy Institute and its education and grassroots work, told WorldNetDaily (WND) that he's discovered lawmakers in Ohio are considering a call for a Constitutional Convention! He explained that 32 other states already have taken that vote, and ONLY ONE MORE would be needed to require Congress to name convention delegates who then would have more power than Congress itself!

If this occurs that will mean that today's corrupt politicians and judges could formally change the U.S. Constitution's "problematic" provisions to reflect the philosophical and social mores of our contemporary society. Don't for one second doubt that delegates to a Constitutional Convention wouldn't revise the First Amendment into a government-controlled privilege, replace the 2nd Amendment with a "collective" right to self-defense, and abolish the 4th, 5th, and 10th Amendments, and the rest of the Bill of Rights. Additions could even be made to include the non-existent "separation of church and state," the "right" to abortion and euthanasia, and much, much more!

This warning comes at a time when President-elect Barack Obama, who is to be voted the next President by the Electoral College Monday, has expressed his belief the U.S. Constitution needs to be interpreted through the lens of current events.

Friends, this is beyond huge. We need to find out as much as we can about this movement and spread the word because the implications of such an event and its effect on America are chilling. Then again, we students of Bible prophecy knew all along that something like this could happen to our country, and if we really are in the prophesied end times like we believe we are then all of this makes perfect sense I'm afraid. Still, that doesn't mean we have to go into the night quietly either.

As the economy worsens, political crises abound, and the world sinks deeper and deeper into chaos we're beginning to here more and more about the "benefits" of a one world government under the banner of a new world order or, at the very least,
a regional government in the form of the North American Union (NAU).

For years, we've allowed politicians, scholars, and educators to convince us that the United States of America is a democracy when in fact it's a republic. The distinction between our Republic and a democracy is not an idle one. It has great legal significance. The legal framework of our Republic is the U.S. Constitution.

The Constitution guarantees to every state a Republican form of government (Article 4, Section 4). No state may join the United States unless it is a Republic. Our Republic is one dedicated to "liberty and justice for all." Minority individual rights are the priority. The people have natural rights instead of civil rights. Interesting, when you consider that the government (with the help of the mainstream media) has succeeded over the past 50 years of framing any issue as being a "civil rights" issue as opposed to it being a "natural rights" issue. Not surprising, since that's exactly what you'd expect when you remove the Creator of those "natural rights" - Lord God Himself - out of the equation and eliminate Him from the discussion.

The people are protected by the Bill of Rights from the majority. One vote in a jury can stop all of the majority from depriving any one of the people of his rights; this would not be so if the United States were a democracy. In a pure democracy, 51% beats 49%. In other words, the minority has no rights. The minority only has those privileges granted by the dictatorship of the majority. Simply stated, a democracy is a dictatorship of the majority.

Once we were convinced that we live in a democracy the next logical thing to do was to attack and destroy the Constitution.
As previously discussed, we've seen more than enough of that over the years. Just to be sure that they achieve their plans, these internationalists ("global community proponents") began circulating the absurd idea that the Constitution is a "living document" and you're free to interpret it however you see fit (read: however it best suits your needs at the time). People have been convinced that the U.S. Constitution is nothing more than an outdated piece of paper written by some obscure old men.

Now, to ensure success after years upon years of patience and hard work, these same individuals will attempt a final knockout punch. Sadly, we'll know by the end of the day on Monday, December 15, 2008 (if not within the next few hours) whether or not this nation that's been on life support now for years is about to die a quick, but painful death.

There's no need to review all the reasons why the Supreme Court and the Electors need to stand up and demand transparency, accountability, and justice because anything I could write has already been written here and throughout the blogosphere many times before.

Instead, I'd like to direct your attention to a few sobering comments written by Reverend Michael Bresciani as found on his American Prophet blog:

"In our new fast paced remote controlled world of entertainment, cell phones, and Internet, is it any wonder there is no time to heed the warnings from the same American men and women of moral virtue, who created this Great Nation? As they laid the foundation for this most successful Republic, they also provided us with warnings of what would destroy the Republic. So as we Americans continue to be complacent and increasingly dependent on a government run by unbiblical politicians, we shall reap what those we elected sow. We can never claim we were not warned."

"It’s America all over again. A few people decided to meet in a small room in Philadelphia to say they had enough British tyranny. A few people risked everything to turn Boston Harbor into a giant pot of tea. A few people have checked the constitution and have found a hitch in the outcome of the 2008 election. From those initial illicit gatherings and conferences came the ‘birth of a nation.' Once again a small group of citizens are meeting in lawyer’s offices, on the Internet and in media rooms with the National Press Club. Now it seems the participants in these meetings are clutching the Constitution and fighting to stop what they believe could be the ‘death of a nation!’"

Lastly, notice that in a Democracy, the sovereignty is in the whole body of the free citizens. To solve a problem, only the whole body politic is authorized to act. Also, being citizens, individuals have duties and obligations to the government. The government's only obligations to the citizens are those legislatively pre-defined for it by the whole body politic.

In a Republic, the sovereignty resides in the people themselves, whether one or many. In a Republic, one may act on his own or through his representatives as he chooses to solve a problem (so, why then has the Supreme Court tossed several of the lawsuits challenging Obama's eligibility on the grounds of "standing" if the law is clear?). Furthermore, the people have no obligation to the government; instead, the government being hired by the people, is obliged to its owner, the people.
The people did "ordain and establish this Constitution," not for themselves, but "for the United States of America." In delegating powers to the government agencies the people gave up none of their own. (see the Preamble of U.S. Constitution). This adoption of this concept is why the U.S. has been called the "Great Experiment in self government." The People govern themselves, while their agents (government agencies) perform tasks listed in the Preamble for the benefit of the People. The experiment is to answer the question, "Can self-governing people coexist and prevail over government agencies that have no authority over the People?"

It is my hope that the U.S. will always remain a Republic, because I value individual freedom. Unfortunately, I know the times that we live in suggest that that is highly unlikely.

I'm reminded of what Thomas Jefferson said, "Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever."

Getting back to the possibility of a Constitutional Convention, the U.S. Constitution places no restriction on the purposes for which the states can call for a convention. If Ohio votes to call a Con Con, for whatever purpose, the United States will be ONLY ONE STATE away from total destruction. And it's a safe bet that those who hate this nation, and all She stands for, are waiting to pounce upon this opportunity to re-write our Constitution.

The warning also suggested that the belief that a Constitution Convention could be directed in its purpose is misplaced. In truth no restrictive language from any state can legally limit the scope or outcome of a Convention! Once a Convention is called, Congress determines how the delegates to the Convention are chosen. Once chosen, those Convention delegates possess more power than the U.S. Congress itself.

We have not had a Constitutional Convention since 1787. That Convention was called to make small changes in the Articles of Confederation. As a point of fact, several states first passed resolutions requiring their delegates discuss amendments to the Articles ONLY, forbidding even discussion of foundational changes. However, following the delegates' first agreement that their meetings be in secret, their second act was to agree to debate those state restrictions and to declare the Articles of Confederation NULL AND VOID! They also changed the ratification process, reducing the required states' approval from 100 percent to 75 percent. There is no reason to believe a contemporary Con Con wouldn't further "modify" Article V restrictions to suit its purpose.

The website Principled Policy opined it is true that any new document would have to be submitted to a ratification process. "However fighting a new Constitution would be a long, hard, ugly and expensive battle which is guaranteed to leave the nation split along ideological lines. It is not difficult to envision civil unrest, riots or even civil war as a result of any re-writing of the current Constitution," the site said. Hmmm, where have we read about that possibility before?

American Policy cited a statement from former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Warren Burger that said, "There is no effective way to limit or muzzle the actions of a Constitutional Convention. The convention could make its own rules and set its own agenda." A Constitutional Convention would be our worst nightmare in an age when you've got people who believe the Constitution is an antiquated document, we need to have everything from controls on guns...all of these U.N. treaties…and controls on how we raise our children. When you take the document that is in their way, put it on the table and say how would you like to change it.

Fortunately, there is one bit of good news in all of this. A handful of quickly responding citizens appeared at the Ohio Legislature yesterday for the meeting at which the convention resolution was supposed to be handled. State officials suddenly decided to delay action, giving those concerned by the possibilities of such a convention a little time to breathe.

It's not looking good for America. I firmly believe that God's judgment is about to fall on this nation. He may be looking at the U.S. and all He sees are lies, deceit, murder, corruption, immorality without a single moral, conscious thought against such things like abortion, homosexuality, pornography, infidelity/divorce, idol worship, etc. In other words, we brought this on ourselves and a just God cannot simply look the other way.

Pray for our nation. This may be the last time it will be known as the United States of America. I have a feeling things are about to explode around the world much sooner than we think.

We shall be redeemed in judgment...which is already being reaped from what has been sown...

the idolatrous masonic foundations of this country are at the root of the deceit and we cannot stop what is coming...we can only come out and be separate as commanded and pray we are found worthy to escape the wrath...the entire world is caught in the snare of treacherous dealers who are liars and criminals who are lawless tares...

thanks for keeping us informed in these last moments...

No problem Anonymous. I guess I'm just amazed by the lack of protest and opposition to these types of things here. The idealist in me in shock, but you're absolutely right so I will rest by placing my faith and hope in Him.
