Financial Distress: A Warning To Build An Ark?

Is the current financial distress a warning for us to build an ark for ourselves?

As if we needed any more proof that the global economy is tanking (and making the environment just right for the implementation of those things that will ultimately lead to the fulfillment of prophecy), Prophezine gives us this news...

"At the time of writing this, silver is again sitting below the $10.00 mark. The reason this is happening is that investors are running scared. People are loosing huge percentage points in their IRA , 401K, savings, etc. Their money is disappearing into thin air and in fact some of my readers are reporting a 20% loss just in the last few weeks alone. That is money that is never coming back again. So where are those who are loosing money running? Most are running to the standard 'safe haven,' that being 'T' bills. See, when people buy T-bills, this shores up the dollar. More T-bills, stronger dollars, cheaper commodities like gas, silver, gold, etc...But this is just temporary. Problem is that when people realize that the dollar is being systematically devalued, they will then run to the one system that God created, that being gold and silver. The good news is that the masses have not woken up yet to the fact yet, but give them a couple more cycles of the market going up like a rocket and falling like a rock and they will wake up. When that takes place; the natural laws of supply and demand will 'revalue' gold and silver all by itself. This is what has happened EVERY TIME since 680 BC when the Athenians first came up with the Fiat Currency model."

What are your thoughts on this? Should those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear begin running out to invest in silver and gold?

Will the currency eventually collapse? Will massive wealth be transferred to those who had enough foresight to accumulate gold and silver early on?

You can read the rest of the Prophezine article here.

Peter,James and Timothy on silver and gold:

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Ac 17:29 -
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

2Ti 2:20 -
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

Jas 5:3 -
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

silver and gold is not the savior nor should we flee to it for refuge in the storm...

The Prophet Ezekiel while in BABYLON in Hebrew Y heze el = El is strong or El strengthens

Ezekiel 7:
2 An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.
3 NOW is the end come upon thee, and I will send Mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.
........
5 Thus saith YHWH, An EVIL a sole EVIL, behold(SEE) IS COME.
6 An end is come...
7 The morning is come...
8 NOW

10 Behold the day, behold it is come...
12 The time is come..
13 The seller shall not return to that which is sold although they were yet alive (at the time of the redemption when at jubille, the property sold would come back to the seller.) for the vision(of wrath) is touching the whole multitued thereof, which shallnot reutn, neither shall any strengthen himself by his iniquity.
14 They have blown the trumpet(Blow ye the trumpet)
15 The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall deour him.
16 But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.
17 all hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.
18 They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them and shame shall be upon all faces and baldness ( a sign of mourning) upon their (our) heads...
19 They (we) shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed, their silver and gold shall not be able to deliver(RESCUE)them in the day of the wrath of YHH, they shall not satisfy their physical souls, neither fill their bowels, because it is the stumbling block of their (our) iniquity.

*Is not the love(obedience to, revearing and fearing)of money the root of all evil?

Some excellent comments for sure - thank you!

You know, the more I think of it the more I seem to be leaning in that general direction as well.

Don't get me wrong, I do think that it's important to be prepared (and I don't believe it shows a lack of faith; just the opposite actually!), but I also think it's wrong to continue to put our faith in money or any other kind of monetary units.

Personally, I believe that it's been our intense and misplaced faith in our "god" money that has caused God to send His judgment upon our economy so swiftly and decisively.

Food for thought. Thanks again for sharing.

I enjoy your site and commentary. My answers to your questions above are yes on all three. I have wondered if stocking up on food, water, precious metals, or even ammo was not having faith that the Lord would provide. But in my preparation's, when running into problems my prayers have been answered. So I conclude that for some the Lord provides with warning signs or some type of fore knowledge, and intends them to prepare. While others might be provided for thru those who were shown the warning signs. Also I think Precious metals are a steal at these prices, especially silver at $10.00!

Vince,

I think one thing I'll definitely be doing (which I probably should have done after 9/11 and after watching things post-Katrina) is purchase a home/travel safety kit for me and my family that contains all the basic necessities we'd need for a couple of weeks or so. I think there's an online company called Survivor Mall that sells kits at affordable prices.
