POPE: End Times, Jesus' Return Not Close

Spiritual deception has definitely grabbed hold of our world's so-called religious leaders. We are smack dab in the middle of the prophesied apostasy. I am wholeheartedly convinced of that fact now more than ever. How else do you explain today's news?

On the heels of
Rick Warren stating that he believes Christian fundamentalists like you and me don't listen, President Bush commenting that he doesn't believe the Bible to be literally true, we now have the Pope of all people taking issue with "end times" prophets calling those of us who watch expectantly for our Lord's return "alarmists," and saying that the end of the world and the return of Jesus Christ is not close!

What in the world is going on here!?!

The Pope had "cautioned against any alarmism" over the "imminent" return of Christ, telling his readers not to be troubled or "shaken in mind" by the fact that "the day of Christ is at hand" because he does not believe that to be the case.

Nothing new from his excellency. Last year, the Pope dismissed recurring "Messianical" predictions of the imminent end the world, saying "history is ongoing, and involves human tragedies and natural calamities." He added, echoing Pope John Paul II, his predecessor, "Do not be afraid."

Of course we're not to be afraid! He sadly misses the point of studying prophecy like so many others! I'm sorry, but he needs to read his Bible again!

An amazing 27% of the Bible is prophecy and 20% of the books of the Bible are prophetic. The existence of Jesus Christ is an historical fact so why would we ignore the prophecies of His Second Coming if it is mentioned almost twice as much as His First?

Revelation 19:10 says, "The essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus." Prophecy is all about Christ. We are also instructed to “watch and pray” for the Lord’s return.

Jesus Himself chastised the Pharisees for not knowing the signs of the times in His day. So, He wants to us know the signs today, for they instill in us hope for the future and encourage us to evangelize the lost while there is still time.

I fear that these influential "religious leaders" have grown too accustomed to their positions of power within the political landscape, and so much so that they have allowed the world (political correctness in particular) to cloud their judgement and understanding of what it means to be a true shepard to the flock.

Given that the apostasy is all around us today we must realize that our time here is even shorter than we think it is.

***UPDATE 1/2/2009: Pope Extols Value Of Economic Activity To Peace - - This article caught my eye today. So, let me get this straight...The Pope says that Christians shouldn't be watching for Jesus' return with excitement and enthusiasm (even though the Bible predicts His second coming almost twice as much as His first, and even though Jesus instructed us to), but he does want us to focus all of our attention and energy on the economy because short-term answers to the financial crisis were not sufficient, even going so far as to say, "It's not enough, as Jesus said, to put patches on an old suit." Ah yes! Some of the most important words ever spoken by Jesus Christ to His Church were they not? Give me a break! Friends, clearly, we're knee deep into the prophesied apostasy of the end times, are we not?***

***UPDATE 1/4/2009: Pope Places Global Fears And Concerns At The Feet Of Mary - -
Gotta love this guy, huh? Here's a direct quote from a recent speech, "We place at the feet of Mary our concerns for the present and our fears for the future, but also our well-founded hope that with the wise and farsighted contributions of everyone it will not be impossible to listen to one another, meet together and give a concrete response to the widespread aspiration to live in peace, security and dignity." What happened to Jesus? Now I know why he said that Christians shouldn't be looking for His second coming - - because, as far as the Pope is concerned, Jesus doesn't exist or, He does and He's just not the most important person to the Church when you have Mary to turn to. Unbelievable! Visit What Every Catholic Should Know and see the video of former Roman Catholic priest Richard Bennett discuss the Mary of Rome.***

The post was great because it says what needs to be said about an ex-nazi apostate Catholic Pope who is denying these times are definitely the end-times.

Jesus said: "Pray always that you may escape the things which are coming upon the world."

In the Popes aberrant viewpoint, we should just label Jesus as an "alarmist" and go on in normal everyday affairs as though the signs of the end times are NOT happening.

Considering Roman Catholics lack of knowledge of Christ's end-time prophecies as written in the Bible, the Pope's aberrant comments may be just looked upon
as apostacy in contemporary times.

It is time for genuine Christians in the Roman Catholic faith to come away from these "unclean" apostacies and separate themselves from this foolish former Nazi with his aberrant views.

The Pope has finally let the cat out of his bag. Just pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape the things that will be coming upon our world as advised by the Messiah Jesus. Forget the Pope and his misconceptions about Christ's prophetic teachings about these end-times we live in.

We are witnessing a prophetic fulfillment of the Bible, the decline of ALL aspects of the earth’s environment and resources.

We are witnessing the Fourth SEAL. One-fourth part of the EARTH is to be destroyed before we move forward to the next Seal events (Re.6:7-8 below).

The earth is on a downhill slid from which it will not recover.

The first four Trumpet events will destroy an additional one-third (Re.8:7-12).

Re.6:7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

Re.6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the FOURTH PART OF THE EARTH, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the BEASTS OF THE EARTH. (Jude 1:10-12, Titus 1:12, 2 Pe.2:11-13).
