What We're Praying/Talking About

Our faith in action, or our small contribution in trying to apply what we're taught in Hebrews 5-6 and James 2:17-26 for the benefit of our dear brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ...

Prop 8 - The Musical

Write these famous names down on a sheet of paper:

Jack Black
John C. Reilly
Allison Janney
Neil Patrick Harris
Kathy Najimy

Craig Robinson
Andy Richter

Ok, good. Now, write a note to yourself next to those names that says you will never support anything that they are a part of like upcoming movies, television shows, and theater performances that they will be starring in.

It's called "Prop 8 - The Musical" and this is the all-star Hollywood cast that made a video mocking gay marriage opponents like you and me. Conceived and written by Hairspray Tony winner Marc Shaiman, the three-minute video was directed and staged by Adam Shankman, who helmed the "Hairspray" movie musical. The video also boasts an array of theatre and stage stars: The "California Gays and The People That Love Them" are played by Jordan Ballard, Margaret Cho, Barrett Foa, J.B. Ghuman, John Hill, Andy Richter, Maya Rudolph, Rashad Naylor and Nicole Parker.

Where to even begin? I'm speechless. I'm sad. I'm angry. I'm completely dumbfounded. I'm fearful. I'm worried. I'm confident. I'm saved. I'm going to pray for them.

Besides the obvious criticisms, I find it interesting that Hollywood and Broadway are mocking President-elect Obama’s supporters. I highly doubt that he will be very happy to learn Hollywood and Broadway hate "his people." The honeymoon appears to be coming to an end.

Also, this is not funny, it is sad. The equivalent of a tantrum. They spend lots of time attacking religion and labeling people as haters when the finger should be pointed at them. They lost fair and square and won't let it go. Why do they whine so much? Lastly, Hollywood’s spouting views on what “marriage” is, is about as valid as the Chicago Cubs spouting views on how to properly celebrate a World Series victory! The whole thing is absolutely ridiculous, but another sign of the times for sure.

They want to protest? Fine. They have the right to do that. I also have the right to hit them where it hurts - their bank account - and boycott any future work they create.

I would like to personally thank these people for saving me some valuable time and money. I pray that they will see the truth before it's too late for them.
