TBG: What Are The Nephilim? ~ LUF

NOTE: After the Intro, and Part 1, this is Part 2 of a series that continues the theme of looking at things that are in the Bible that many people often ignore. Hopefully, we can remind ourselves that we are supposed to be lovers of truth, and that we need to prayerfully consider these things after studying them seriously. God tells us that His ways are not our ways. He does things in ways beyond our limited understanding. Before you are tempted to criticize or oppose something that looks different from your past experience and understanding, ask God for wisdom and discernment. Examine why you might be tempted to oppose it. The Lord cannot be put in a box. He delights in doing things and revealing Himself in ways that may not fit our former paradigms.

Proverbs 25:2 - "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honor of kings to search out a matter."

Earlier, I wrote a message to the Look Up Fellowship community and to any future visitors to this ministry that stated that because I believe our time here is very short I feel it's about time I "took the gloves off" so to speak, and presented information on relevant and Biblically prophetic topics that we rarely discuss in a serious manner.

I postulated that the reason why we rarely discuss such things even though we find them in the Bible is because (1) we simply don't know what to make of them, (2) we don't want to take the time to research and understand them, (3) we do know what they are all about and we're just afraid of the implications for us if we allow ourselves to accept that as truth, and so we ignore them outright instead or, (4) all of the above.

With this in mind, today I want to focus on something that I believe is VITALLY IMPORTANT for everyone let alone all Christians (especially those involved with eschatology) to understand because of what the Bible tells us is coming.

A WORD IN THE BIBLE MANY OF US OFTEN IGNORE

When we think of angels we often picture in our mind either great and friendly beings with enormous wings or cute little chubby creatures like Cupid. What if that depiction was wrong? Why have we forgotten about all the evil angels (demons) that exist and work to see our world and lives destroyed? You better believe that they're as real as the other kind we believe in!

There's a spiritual war going on all around us each and every day that's invisible to the naked eye according to the Bible. This battle between good and evil has existed since the beginning of time, but we need to realize that there is a day in the near future when the veil will be lifted and this war will spill into our world to the point where we will be able to witness all the horror and ferocity with our own eyes. Luke 21:26 should immediately come to mind.

Are you familiar with the word "Nephilim" (some times appears as "Rephaim") in the Holy Bible? Trust me, the word is there. You don't have to look too hard either since the word shows up in some curious passages found in the very first book of the Holy Bible - - the Book of Genesis.

Genesis 6:4 - "There were nephilim in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."

Of course, many translations today replace the word "nephilim" with the word "giants" because they are one in the same, but I think it's also because we're more inclined to passively read that verse when we come to it because we think, "Giants? Oh, of course! Like David and Goliath! Ok!" and then move on.

However, for generations we've ignored what was right in front of us all this time. I don't just mean in a canonical sense, but in a secular sense as well. All things point to a race of powerful creatures that walked the earth with man during these times - - this claim is supported by vast amounts of secular writings, ancient art and architecture, and several archaeological findings not to mention religious sources like the Bible as well.

Steve Quayle in his groundbreaking work on the subject captured the current state of ignorance when he wrote...

"Stretch your mind back to childhood. What giants do you remember? Jack and the Beanstalk? Hercules? Paul Bunyan? Goliath? What were you told and what did you read? With the exception of Goliath and an occasional ornery cyclops, legends emphasized their innate goodness, eye-popping feats accomplished with unparalleled strength, victories over the bad guys and all performed by 'gentle giants.' What if it were all a lie? What if the truth were something much, MUCH more sinister?

I have invested over 30 years researching the vast history of giants. It has, for the most part, been kept from the public. Proof of giants' existence - - their skeletal remains - - has been quickly secreted away in obscure museums, when not destroyed. Additionally, time has cloaked and sugar-coated these creatures' true perverse nature, the majority too vile, too demonic for bedtime stories. However, history is replete with their tales of unimaginable cruelty, sexual perversity, cannibalism and pagan rituals. This is only the beginning. Some things are best forgotten...or are they?

Where did these giants come from and what was their connection with ordinary humans? Just who were they? What happened to these extraordinary creatures? Is it possible they could ever return? The last question I will answer right now - - YES, they most definitely could return! And they have something much worse in mind for mankind."

DIGGING A LITTLE DEEPER

Are you aware of the fact that the Hebrew word "nephilim" means "fallen ones" adding another important layer to this topic? Might this give us a better understanding of "the Sons of God" mentioned in the same chapter? As in Genesis 6:4 that was quoted above, we also find in an earlier verse...

Genesis 6:2 - "that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

Dr. Henry M. Morris believes: "These 'giants' were the monstrous progeny of the demon-possessed men and women whose illicit activities led to God's warning of imminent judgment. The Hebrew word is nephilim ('fallen ones'), a term possibly relating to the nature of their spiritual 'parents,' the fallen angels. That they were also physical giants is evident from the fact that the same word is later used in connection with the giants in Canaan at the time of Joshua (Numbers 13:33) and by the fact that the word here was translated in the Septuagint by the Greek word 'gigantes.'" (Morris, The Defender's Bible)

Furthermore, the Nephilim appear as part of the "increasing wickedness of mankind." Their mention does account for the "giants" of Canaan, whom the Israelites also called the Nephilim, since according to Genesis 6:4 "The Nephilim were on the earth in those days - and also afterward - when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them." (NIV translation).

This verse, which precedes and introduces the passage of the Great Flood, thus implies that the Nephilim actually came to the earth at least twice. The first of which were destroyed in The Flood, and the second succeeding the flood.

That being said, it is quite possible that the "giants of Canaan" were the direct result of the Nephilim! But the evidence doesn't end there.

The New American Bible commentary draws a parallel to the Epistle of Jude and the statements set forth in Genesis, suggesting that the Epistle refers implicitly to the paternity of Nephilim as heavenly beings who came to earth and had sexual intercourse with women.

The angels too, who did not keep to their own domain, but deserted their proper dwelling, God has kept in eternal chains, in gloom, for the judgement of the great day. Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

According to the New Oxford Annotated Bible, the Genesis verses only indicate that the Nephilim existed at the same time as the products of divine-human intercourse, but they were also angels as they say.

As if that weren't mind-blowing enough for you, the Jerusalem Bible, calling it an "obscure passage (from the Yahwistic tradition)," links the Nephilim with the Greek Titans, who were supposedly the great heroes and gods we commonly learn about in any basic study of Mythology! It goes on to say...

"The author does not present this episode as a myth nor, on the other hand, does he deliver judgment on its actual occurrence; he records the anecdote of a superhuman race simply to serve as an example of the increase in human wickedness which was to provoke the Flood. Later Judaism and almost all the earliest ecclesiastical writers identify the 'Sons of God' with the fallen angels; but from the fourth century onwards, as the idea of angelic natures becomes less material, the Fathers commonly take the 'Sons of God' to be Seth's descendants and the 'daughters of men' those of Cain."

FOLLOW THE BREAD CRUMBS...

It's all there for us! It always has been. We can plainly see that history has given us plenty of information about these Nephilim/Giants in both secular and religious sources, which should give us serious cause for concern regarding the legitimacy of their true existence.

Hopefully, by now this is all coming together for us. If this is the case then surely Genesis 6:4 where it says "the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown" takes on an entirely new meaning as well as a great importance for us. Could these "mighty men" and "men of renown" by referring to the Greek Titans as suggested by this non-canonical text from antiquity? After all, Dionysus was said to be the son of a human woman and the god Zeus as just one example to illustrate this point.

Even if we turn our attention away from Biblical and other religious sources for a moment, we find a similar connection and story being told to us as echoes from the past in the form of ancient art, architecture, texts, cultures and such. The question is whether or not any of us are listening to what the past is trying to communicate to us. Remember, those who forget the past are destined to repeat it.

Personally, it all seems pretty cut and dry to me. The Bible speaks of Nephilim/Giants not once, but twice and even connects these beings/creatures to the "sons of God" (the fallen angels) and says that they were a major reason why God sent his fierce judgment upon the earth in the form of The Flood.

It would be logical to ask why God felt the need to do this in the first place. Well, I believe we have the answer to that question as well. If you were Satan or one of the rebellious angels with him you would know that Jesus Christ was prophesied to come to defeat you. You would also know the manner in which that was supposed to happen.

If these Nephilim are, in fact, the offspring of fallen angels (demons) mating with humans then it makes perfect sense that they would think to attempt to corrupt human DNA throughout the world in an effort to eliminate the bloodline that would eventually produce the birth and person of Jesus Christ.

Contaminate the DNA and bloodlines, and you destroy God's plans and method of destroying you. So, what we see then is that these fallen angels (demons) - "the sons of God used to go in to the daughters of humans, then they produced offspring for themselves" - acted in a manner of self-preservation.

What they didn't count on was the fact that God would surely realize their evil schemes and send punishment upon the planet to stop them dead in their tracks. The Flood wiped out all of the human and animal life save for Noah and those on the ark, and essentially hit the reset button on the whole process.

What does it mean in the Book of Genesis when God states to Eve after the Fall, "I will separate your seed from the serpent's seed..." because it seems to imply that even from the very beginning God in His infinite wisdom knew Satan's plan to intermingle with the "seed" (DNA?) of human life.

Again, we now have a much better understanding of why God felt it was necessary to judge the world by using The Flood, and why he also commanded Israel afterwards not to intermarry with the heathen populations. This was so that there might be pure seed in Israel.

NOW CONSIDER THE IMPLICATIONS OF FUTURE PROPHECIES!!!

Now, let's consider the implications of all of this in relation to prophecies about the end times.

2 Peter 2:4,5 - "For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them into Tartarus and committed them to chains of deepest darkness to be kept until the judgment; and if he did not spare the ancient world, even though he saved Noah..."

Jude 6 - "And to the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day..."

What was their "sin" that Peter refers to if not the sin of taking human wives for themselves to produce offspring? Is this sin the transformation of the angelic and immortal body to a hybrid and mortal body?

Homer stated in the Illiad, "Tartarus is as far below Hades as the Earth is below Heaven." It seems "Tartarus" may be the place for immortal creatures to be kept since Hell is only for mortal creatures.
By that logic, is Tartarus the "Bottomless Pit" mentioned in the Book of Revelations that from out of which "the Great Beast" will rise? It appears that Tartarus is the place that God put the angels that sinned.

Does this surprise you? Does this shock you? I mean, it's hardly the type of thing we've ever heard in Church on Sundays or talked about in our weekly Bible Study Group, but there it is for us to clearly see with our own eyes.

Why do you suppose it's never been a topic of interest with the Church let alone the Body of Christ especially to those who have studied prophecy for the last few decades? Because, as we'll see in a few moments, anyone who's serious about prophecy and the understanding of what's to come needs to understand exactly what's coming.

Perhaps the reluctance to discuss all of this within prophetic circles until now was done as a sort of "defense mechanism" to keep us from losing sleep over what we know is a future reality. Again, Luke 21:26 should immediately come to mind here.

What's interesting for the purposes of this study is how often this concept is repeated with remarkable similarities in various religious traditions as well as non-canonical and other secular texts.

If you read the Book of Enoch, and Genesis 6, and even The Book of the Cave of Treasures, and all of the accounts of the Nephilim story, it certainly seems like they are talking about spiritual, or perhaps multidimensional beings that can take physical form of a sort in order to interact with humans. Does that sound like any modern-day phenomenon to you?

We're told that these beings are able to mate sexually with human females, which indicates genetic compatibility to some degree, but their children are monstrously huge with enormous and perverse appetites. This is described as an aberration resulting from the mating of spirit with matter. Think of the djinn of Arab legend - - fallen angels made of fire that mated with human females. They are the ones who followed Iblis (Satan) when he revolted in Heaven.

The Koran says that Iblis was cast out of Heaven because he refused God's order to bow down to Adam (humans). He said, why should a being made from heavenly fire bow down to one made from clay? Obviously there was an elemental difference between angels and humans.

The Hebrew of "Nephilim" may also mean "those causing others to fall." Abraham ibn Ezra (one of the most distinguished Jewish men of letters and writers of the Middle Ages) proposed that they were called this because men's hearts would fail at the sight of them. Now, where have we heard that before?

Ah yes!. It brings to mind what we're told about the end times in the Book of Luke...

Luke 21:26 - "Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."

If this verse is describing the type of scenario I think it is then it's reassuring to read the next two verses...

Luke 21:27-28 - "And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

OK, SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU ASSERTING HERE?

What I'm suggesting is hardly anything new as we'll soon seen in future parts to this series since others have studied the Nephilim and sounded the alarm about their eventual return for quite some time. I merely want to distribute this warning to my little sphere of influence in this world and I hope that those of you reading this will also share this with those in your life as well.

As we'll see in greater detail in Part 3, I believe that these Nephilim/Giants have a definite connection to the current "Alien/UFO" phenomenon, and that what we perceive to be "beings from another planet and/or galaxy" are actually demonic creatures engaged in spiritual warfare as they attempt to set us up for the coming Great Deception. I also believe that these fallen angels (demonic forces) that are bound in chains by God will be unleashed upon the Earth VERY SOON as a form of judgment to fulfill one of His prophecies for these last days.

The various sources that have been mentioned here indicate that these Nephilim/Giants that existed in ancient times became fearsome rulers of the world. So, I believe that these creatures were (and are) far more complex and "unearthly" than just a bunch of greys running around in spacesuits and jetting back and forth in flying saucers.

I think a lot of researchers (mainly, those who subscribe to the "Ancient Astronaut Theory" of creation) will look at certain aspects of this reality and try to boil it down, like it's a movie. The thinking seems to be that there can only be one plot line, one narrative, rather than a complex and interlocking chain of spiritual phenomena and events.

People tend to think it's frivolous to link together secret societies, "Alien/UFO" phenomena, and sacred places and artifacts, etc., but if you follow the threads back it all connects! That's what I'm looking at with my (in-progress) study here (which also seems to involve symbolism and Synchronicity, but don't worry, I'm leaving both out of this series for now).

In the process, these connections always seem to bring me back to the reality that there seems to be a group of people in the world today who closely resemble the Shemsu Hor (of ancient Egypt), whose main goal was to turn back the clock to the Zep Tepi when the gods walked the earth. We would classify them today as being New Age wackos, but now from history and the Bible that they were extremely dangerous due to their evil beliefs, practices, and worship of evil gods.

As the brief video demonstrates, this is how Satan has successfully usurped Biblical truth, and twisted it to suit his own needs so that many would believe the lie.

Proponents of this type of belief system were (and are) the most deadly serious people you can imagine because they were in (are in) positions of power and influence and they believe they are doing their god's work for him by doing all they can to honor and summon their gods (through the orchestrating of these public and symbolic "rituals") who they wholeheartedly believe are returning to the Earth as a result of their efforts.

While God is in complete control, that doesn't negate the fact that there are still people at the top of the "power pyramid" who believe these things. Their allegiance is to another god - - the god of this world who we refer to as Satan - - and it's their belief that influences the mass culture, and to some extent, seeks to set this stage for the eventual arrival of their king who we refer to as the Antichrist.

Then again, what if all of this were true, but that it was also something much more sinister? What if these secret societies all shared the same knowledge of the greatest "secret" there ever was - - the fact that ancient beings (Nephilim/Giants) once ruled this planet with ferocity in antiquity (those they call "ancient astronauts" and "Aliens," but who are actually fallen angels and demons), and that those same beings are going to return to wreak havoc on this planet once again?

In that context, their actions could be perceived as an attempt to appease the gods, an attempt to solidy their favored status in the new regime (the New World Order) to come, or an attempt to summon their personal gods.

It's plausible. I mean, what could be compelling all of these countries to join in this emerging "global community" aside from all the problems with the economy, poverty, and war? And don't you love how the media picked up on that phrase when "New World Order" didn't do well with the focus groups?

Fortunately, we Christians have the answer. We know this is supposed to happen and that it's all going according to God's plan, and happening EXACTLY the way He said it would.

Given this obvious spiritual element to all of this, doesn't that simply support my position that those in positions of power in the world are being influenced by Satan and his minions in this spiritual war we find ourselves in (whether they realize it or not; whether they are doing it on purpose of not towards their own ill-conceived end game)?

In Part 3, we'll examine this spiritual connection between the Nephilim/Giants and "Aliens/UFOs" further, and openly analyze whether or not this has any relevance to the coming Great Deception and rise of the Antichrist.
