Last week, we looked at an often ignored end times prophecy concerning the discovery of oil in Israel that would not only make her one of the wealthiest nations in the Middle East, but the entire world! Most importantly, we considered how that discovery would ultimately lead to war (the prophesied Psalm 83 War and/or Gog-Magog War).
Today, we learn that an oil discovery in Israel sets the stage for war. We learn that the discovery of a HUGE natural gas field, offshore Israel (90 kilometers west of Haifa), was made. Actually, the news broke on January 17, 2009, but I held off on reporting about it here given the "Mark My Words..." commentary.
On January 17, 2009, Noble Energy announced a natural gas discovery on its Tamar prospect, offshore Israel. The Tamar #1 well, located in 5,500 feet of water, was drilled to 16,000 feet and testing identified more than 460 feet of net pay in three high-quality reservoirs.Noble Energy's Chairman said, "...we are extremely excited by the results. This is one of the most significant prospects that we have ever tested and appears to be the largest discovery in the company's history."
On January 18, 2009, Reuters noted the find as: 3 trillion cubic feet (88 billion cubic meters) of gas. (Since Reuters released their note, the amount has been revised upwards to between 4 and 5 trillion cubic feet of gas.)
Israel's Minister of Infrastructure said, "We are witnessing a historic moment in Israel's energy market...we are talking about the biggest find in Israel's history." Analysts estimated the natural gas was worth about $26 billion and will be sold starting in 2013. At present, Israel is receiving natural gas from Egypt under a 20-year deal made in 2005 and the Yam Tethys consortium's offshore Israel field.
The Chairman of the Delek Group, an Israeli company that owns 15% of the well said, "Who should we thank? The Creator of the World! We searched for gas at a depth of 5,000 meters, but thanks should go 'above'."
Zion Oil is also delighted. This discovery is very good for Israel and they believe it validates their belief that significant oil and gas reserves can be found in Israel. They believe that the market will be able to absorb any new gas finds and, as a result of this discovery, any natural gas that Zion may discover and produce could be worth more than estimated before this discovery.
When Zion's Founder and Chairman, John Brown, heard this news, he remarked, "As it says in Esther Chapter 4, Verse 14, 'Who knows whether it was just for such a time as this that'... Zion is about to drill its next well..."
Psalm 51:18 - "In your good pleasure, make Zion prosper..."
Do you realize what this discovery means!?! Simply put, there are no other pieces that need to be in place for the prophesied Gog-Magog War (and Psalm 83 War) to take place because we know have the "carrot" (oil) that will draw Russia and her allies to attack Israel!
Just stop and think about it for a moment. We've already seen an on-going dispute between Russia and Ukraine over the delivery of oil to all of Europe, which shows no signs of really going away any time soon. Plus, we also know that more wars have been fought over the world's natural resources (i.e oil) than for any other reason. More importantly, we know what the Bible has to say about what will actually happen.
How amazing is our God!?! To watch these prophecies unfold upon the world stage and to read about them daily in the international and national news headlines just takes my breath away some times!
Friends, 2009 is shaping up to be spiritually historical one. It's only a matter of time before the dam breaks, and the flood of fulfilled end times prophecy is one our doorsteps.
Rest assured, there's a new urgency for me to finish reading the Spillman's "Breaking The Treasure Code: The Hunt For Israel's Oil" written by father and son team James R. Spillman and Steven M. Spillman. Of course, I'll share my analysis and review with you all once I've finished it.

today they found oil in the center of Israel! The gas reserves last January off Haifa, the 'abundance of the sea' and today the oil- "treasure under the sand". Remember Deuteronomy's prophecy to Moses "they will suck on the abundance of the seas, and on the treasures hidden in the sand." And that Ezekiel will attack those "living at the center of the land.” (Ezekiel 38:11-12) " exactly where the found the massive oil field, in Israel's Center District.
Last week one of the largest underwater discovery of natural gas in decades was found off Israeli shores. Russian experts speculate that they may have one of the world’s biggest unexploited lakes of gas totalling an estimated 122 trillion cubic feet.

The prophecy seems to be coming to pass…
I read the link on www.howlongolord.com. The find of 122 trillion cubic feet of Gas is a conservative estimate. The USGS and Russian experts think this is a serious find of oil and gas. The oil shale is a waste of time if the information in the link is correct. I did check out the validity of the facts in the link. You can't always trust those religious based sites, but there are dozens of other sites also reporting the gas and oil find. Russia does also have plans to partner with Israel on extraction.
