I can only imagine that those same people must've felt vindicated when "their guy" followed through on his promise less than 2 weeks into his term when he wrote a love letter of sorts to Iran and its leaders.
Well, I wonder how they feel about things now.
The Iranians say Obama's offer to sit and talk without preconditions shows American weakness and failure. What a shock!

Breitbart reported:
"US President Barack Obama's offer to talk to Iran shows that America's policy of 'domination' has failed, the government spokesman said on Saturday. 'This request means Western ideology has become passive, that capitalist thought and the system of domination have failed,' Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency. 'Negotiation is secondary, the main issue is that there is no way but for (the United States) to change,' he added. After nearly three decades of severed ties, Obama said shortly after taking office this month that he is willing to extend a diplomatic hand to Tehran if the Islamic republic is ready to 'unclench its fist.' In response, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad launched a fresh tirade against the United States, demanding an apology for its 'crimes' against Iran and saying he expected 'deep and fundamental' change from Obama."
Precisely why you do not negotiate from a position of weakness with the Muslim world, or with thugs like Castro and Chavez. They perceive talking as cowardice and weakness because, well, it is. But that hasn't stopped The One, The Appeaser, The Gullible.
Maybe President Obama and his administration should get up off of their knees and give it another try. Maybe they should pretend the Iranians (and the rest of our nation's enemies) are the Republicans.
Of course, we all know that real and lasting peace will never exist on Earth between men until Jesus Christ returns to defeat the Antichrist.
