So, I've been captivated by all of this "Melchizedek" stuff since first reading and writing about that "Return of the Ancestors" event that's coming up.
Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon even more strange things (emphasis on the word "strange") related to this enigmatic Biblical figure. Hold on to your hats folks because this takes things to a whole new level when we thought it wasn't quite possible.
Have you heard of the Government of the Dominion of Melchizedek that's been around since 1991? Me neither. Apparently, they were "declared by NBC News to be the first nation on the Internet." You can read about one of their Founders HERE and about the other Founder (and author of the Melchizedek Bible) HERE.
The Dominion of Melchizedek is an unusual country. No one lives there, and it doesn't appear on any maps (despite having actual territory that belongs to it), but it is home to hundreds of banks and other financial institutions. Banking is how the Dominion makes its bread and butter.
Here's their official State Seal:
Quite the imagery and symbolism there, huh? All the major religious symbols are presented included the slick slogan "Monotheism. Unity. Peace." Sounds like the recipe for the Antichrist's one-world government doesn't it?
Just in case you think this "dominion" (interesting way to describe a nation state until you consider the spiritual element running through all of this) is merely a political entity - - think again.
From the website:
"The Dominion of Melchizedek is a recognized ecclesiastical and constitutional sovereignty. As a rapidly expanding, post-modern state, the Dominion's activities are governmental, spiritual, political, educational and humanitarian. References are made to Melchizedek's eternal sovereignty throughout Hebrew and Christian Holy Writ. All monotheistic religions spring from the blessing Old Testament Abraham received from Melchizedek, the righteous king of peace and history's first monotheistic teacher of God, the Most High."
The people of Melchizedek desired independence so their leaders signed a formal Constitution on July 7, 1991, thereby forming a government of the people based upon ecclesiastical and democratic principles. On November 26, 1994, the Dominion of Melchizedek acquired full ownership and sovereignty over the Karitane Islands in the South Pacific, and on May 5, 1999 acquired sovereign rights over the Taongi Islands in the North Pacific from the island’s Iroijlaplap. In the year 2000, Rotuma (which is north of Fiji) signed a constitution, wherein Melchizedek was granted all of the same rights and privileges enjoyed by the Vatican in Rome, and Melchizedek acquired sovereign rights over Solkope, one of the seven islands surrounding Rotuma.
Anyway, I took a peek at their "Constitution" to se eif anything jumped out at me. Let's see, I found they have a Congress-like body of 8-24 people known as the "House of Elders" with "Melchizedek" at the "Head of House" position. Of particular interest (especially for a religious nation state based on the order of Christianity's Melchizedek) was the unusual powers granted to this House of Elders:
> "to declare spiritual war, but never to harm enemies, only to bless them, grant letters of marquee and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water"
> "to raise and support spiritual armies, but no appropriation of money to that use shall be for a longer term than two years"
> "to provide and maintain a non-military Navy and Air Force"
> "to provide for calling forth a special non-violent militia to execute the laws of the Nation, suppress insurrections and repel invasions"
> "The House shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, except in the event of National Security; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
> "The right of the people to make independent decision with respect to health matters, whether or not with regard to Abortion, Euthanasia, AIDS, or other, shall not be interfered with or restricted by any law."
> "In cases of deadly communicable diseases, the Government may compel the isolation of an infected person, however, under no circumstances shall the nature and identity of the medical condition be released to the general public."
> "The House shall not have the authority to lay and collect taxes. However taxation by inflation may be instituted, only if said taxation is accompanied by an equal distribution of wealth to all citizens of the DOM both personal and corporate. With respect to corporations or businesses, any inflationary taxation instituted shall at no time be in excess of Ten percent of the issued and outstanding currencies of the DOM according to accounting methods and standards as promulgated within the DOM."
After taking a breath, I proceeded to check out the "Melchizedek Bible" to see what else I could find. Again, I was absolutely floored!
This is from the very first paragraph of their "Bible" introductory page (this bible itself was written in 1986, or long before the phrase "New World Order" was popularized by that infamous speech by the first President Bush in 1991):
"On the verge of a new millennium, we present the Melchizedek Bible. The Dominion of Melchizedek, an ecclesiastical sovereignty, defined in Holy Writ as a heavenly sent one world government, has adopted this work to be a useful tool in its mission of ushering in the coming millennium of peace and righteousness. One aspect of this work is to bring understanding and harmony between all monotheistic believers in the world."
What I found odd about this "Bible" besides that was how even though it was written in 1986 (and even though the DOM didn't form until 1991) their writings clearly reflect a time such as this and exhibit a prophetic tone. This is because immediately after this little intro is given they jump right in and waste little time as they begin to address such things as their beliefs about:
Jesus' Second Coming
"..we believe that the Overcomer is from the line of Joseph, a branch of the 'vine' that migrated to England, then 'grew over the wall' to America..."
Rebuilding of the Temple
"We believe that the time has come for the building of the Lord's house as foretold by Isaiah, yet we will not establish it near the Islamic Dome of the Rock, but on a higher location. The Holy House will no longer be a place to sacrifice goats and sheep, but instead, the home of the Overcomer, and 24 elders, from where the nations may be guided."
On Religious Institutions
"Although we do conduct Melchizedekian Bible studies we have not attempted to form any 'religion,' but rather invite all religious groups to unite with us. All monotheistic religions stem from the blessing Abraham received from the priest-king of Salem, Melchizedek...It can be argued that all monotheistic religions are Jewish. Why? Because Jesus was a Jew, therefore the religion he is claimed to have started, Christianity, is therefore Jewish, and he said that 'salvation is of the Jews' and because Muslims accept that Jesus is the Messiah of God, born of a Virgin, therefore their Messiah too. Keep in mind that one can be Jewish by race (from the tribe of Judah) and/or by religion. We recommend that all monotheists accept their Jewishness and embrace it...By bringing his brand of monotheism to polytheistic people, was Mohammed submitting to the will of God? He was attempting to bring Christianity back closer to its origin. Perhaps we could say that he was one of the first Protestants...We believe that the Catholic Church although having its roots in early Christianity, temporarily lost its direction upon being institutionalized by the Roman government...We believe that Protestant churches being a protest to the institutionalization by Rome have helped to keep Christianity out of the grave...We admire their countless, zealous sheep eager to behold the earth full of His glory (on Jehovah's Witnesses)... We admire their sobriety and charity. We hope that their missionary endeavors will yield fruit as they put more emphasis on the old and new testaments, but less on the works of their founder. It is unfortunate that they consented to the U.S. government's demand that they no longer practice polygamy, since the Bible in no way discourages such marital relationships between one man, unless he is a Bishop, and several consenting women (on the Mormon Church)...Every religious organization contains some element of cult activity as can been seen from this definition found in the Chamber's 21st Century Dictionary: 'a system of religious belief,' and it is derived from two words, 'worship' and 'cultivate' (on Cults)."
I then turned my attention to one of the Founder's son - - Ben David - - who is also the man responsible for officially creating this nation state and government.
Ben David received a revelation that he was to go by the "new name", "Branch Vinedresser," which translates from his Hebrew name, "Tzemach Korem," which is a portion of his full legal and Hebrew name: "Tzemach 'Ben' David Netzer Korem."
By inviting business men in 1990 to incorporate their businesses under the laws of the Dominion of Melchizedek, "Branch Vinedresser" caught the attention of the international mainstream media. Articles began to appear in Europe, America, and Asia about the Dominion. Since Ben David's background was a complete mystery to the media, they were intrigued, and went so far as to write that the reputed leader of the Dominion, "inimitable religious and financial guru" "looks eerily like popular depictions of Jesus," "has the debating skills of a first rate trial lawyer, and a powerful command of financial tools," entitling some of the articles, "Father of His Country," "My Country T'is of Me," "King of the Seven Seas," and after his true identity was revealed, more recently, "The Ruse that Roared" resulting from the DOM's successful attempt to stop France from nuclear testing in the South Pacific Ocean by declaring spiritual war on France through the Washington Post.
The Washington Post observed that the Dominion of Melchizedek "may be the ultimate post modern state." NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw proclaimed Dominion of Melchizedek to be "the first nation on the Internet" in conjunction with the Wall Street Journal's February 9, 1999 article, "a nation in cyberspace draws fire from authorities."
Oh yeah, Ben David (or "Branch Vinedresser" if you like) also goes by the name Mark Pedley. In April 2000, CBS's 60 Minutes II, aired a report critical of the Dominion of Melchizedek. Prior to the program being aired, Mark Pedley claims he had a conversation with 60 Minutes II Producer Janet Klein, in which Klein promised Pedley fair coverage of DOM. In the opening of the program, CBS made a claim that Pedley was a prophet. During the interview, Bob Simon asked Pedley if he was a prophet. Pedley replied, "I try to avoid making any predictions about the future."
How absurd and yet, in a way, beautiful is all of this? I mean, as Christians who fervently study end times prophecy this is quite telling that we're on the cusp of everything unraveling like we're told in the pages of the Bible that it will. Tragic, for the lost and unsaved souls, yes, but since we are looking at it all from the vantage point of those who are in Christ Jesus, and thus saved, that's why it's beautiful (if that's not a morbid description); it is just another in a long line of real-world facts that CONFIRMS the veracity of God's holy Word.
If anyone comes across anything else of interest related to this DOM then please be sure to share it with the rest of us in the Comments Section. I know that this end times rabbit hole goes much deeper than I had time to travel today, but I have complete faith that many of you will be able to uncover more info that will make our jaws fall wide open.
Keep looking up! Time is short. Much shorter than we think.

I could be wrong, but doesn't 'Ben' mean 'son of'? As in Ben Jamin is son of Jamin?
Ben David could mean 'Son of David'...?
Though, I've hard things like 'Simon bar Jonah' or similar...
Yes it does, I just saw on Zola Levitt last night that in Hebrew, they called Jesus 'Ben David'
Hoka Hey! Say Whaaaaaaaaaaat? Another false Christ..."many will come in MY NAME."
First off since when do Muslims(should read,Islamics)"accept any savior/messiah besides ALLAH who begets not?
A sovereign state like ROME...well, well, well, now isn't that nice with seven little hills(islands)as well.
PS This is the first time I have been able to access your website in months Jeff so I've missed several of your last few nuggets...
These guys based their religion on Alcoholics Anonymous. As AA is nonspecific in their diety, calling it a higher power, so these DOM'ers seek to appease everybody by sacrificing everything.
The tripping point is that the religion and the government are mutally cooptive. That would be a theocracy and there is only one valid theocracy, That of Jesus Christ.
I spoke with Ben David,
and am knowledgeable on DOM.
I got a feel that they were like me;
fine hearted, but afflicted with a weakness compulsion to bend the rules.
It starts as a baby, when the evil one makes prey of the weak ones Yah'Vwah has in heart to bring through.
The key and notable difference in these type of truthists, who believe in only One, Who is The Authority and Epitome of the Truest and Only LOVE possible is this:
"They always get better, more moral, more ethical, naturally;
stricken with the blessing and curse of being true to themselves."
I know these type of people.
No one knows the future.
No one ever put into perfect words..
..the meaning of life.
