it makes no sense so...

wishful thinking. :)

however, there is another interpretation

good luck on your quest for truth

Yeah I wish. I have seen other date setters predictions come and go, one whose web site disappeared after the date passed. I would love to go in the rapture, but as the predictions I followed came and went and me telling people to be ready, I don't get too worked up over it anymore. I just prayerfully wait to hear that trumpet blast.
Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.
God Bless

Dear brothers and sisters,

Let's join in prayers - as an online fellowship community - for our world, our nation, our family and our church (not just the building and institution but WE the church with Jesus Christ as the head)! May all true Christians unite in Christ!

Today is the 'Global Day of Prayer' - thank you Lord I was honoured to participate in the live prayer meeting as it was held in my home town, and it is to be broadcasted all over the world.

Towards the end we sang the hymn "Thy Kingdom Come" from the Lord's prayer. Rapture or not, pre-, mid-, post- or multi-trib, let's pray and shout "Maranatha!" Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

http://www.globaldayofprayer.com/

Today I fasted and prayed, meditating on this: "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy hoy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." [Psalms 51: 10-12]

"Schaffe in mir Gott ein reines Herz und gib mir einen neuen gewissen Geist..." This is so beautiful that Brahms set this to a lovely choral piece Op. 29, no.2

In Christ,
Shi

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. [2 Chronicles 7:14]

"Christ Returns" that headline is prophetic. A little disappointed this morning however, what a blessing this has been. Over the last few months my prayer life has tripled. The boldness that I have received in sharing the good news surprises me. Every day expecting the Lord to return only reinforces how short time really is. Thank you for your ministry. Linda G

Dear JRed,

Even if Jesus doesn't rapture his people today, I think you can't stop to write and make connections about this end of times. I think you have made a lot of important apointments about the real world and Bible. I, personally, believe in pos-trib rapture, but all things about the imminent beginning of the great tribulation, and UFO/Alien issue you have wrote here, has been very important. God Bless.

I think that JRed has always presented a strong "What if" scenario here. I think back to the Grant Jeffrey quote that he continues to put up...

The truth is, eventually, somebody will get it right...and many will not have listened.

As a watchman, the job is to alert others to Christ's coming. If the man of the house had known at what time of the night the thief would come, he would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

If there was a strong crime wave moving through the area, and a high potential that your house was going to be hit, wouldn't you be really upset if the police or neighborhood watch failed to give adequate warning, especially if there was a day that was really conspicuous?

Days and times like these are strong warnings, so rather than disappointment, there should be a sense of relief, as Jesus has mercifully granted more time to prepare, and for the lost to find him.

At the time of this writing, the day is not over yet(although it is in Jerusalem). It says in such an hour as we think not, the son of Man cometh...once again, not day. While 9 am, Jerusalem time would have been awesome(not to mention strongly symbolic), I'd be just as good with 6pm EST.

There is nothing JRed, me, or anybody else can do to make Jesus come before the time. We can watch and alert others, however.

So instead of becoming some sort of jaded, Christian cynic, let's rediscover the joy of anticipating the Lord's arrival, instead of moping around and griping that somebody got it wrong.

While we're at it, let's berate John and Paul for telling people that the Lord's coming was soon. They were way off, date setting or not.(Please note that I am being facetious).

Look, Jesus is coming, if not today, then possibly tomorrow. Increase your anticipation, and cut out the scoffing. Otherwise, you are just another sign of His coming.

The headlines will not say that. They would not admit that is what happened.

I believe you are on the right track with learning to understand the Lord's feasts and calendar. However, the Rapture and/or 2nd Coming fits closer (I believe) with Rosh Hashana. "No one knows the day or the hour" and "The last trump".

Brother Jred

Peace be with you. The Peace that dwells in the heart of those who believe and rest in Jesus and wait with JOY for His Coming.

I have followed your site for sometime and have enjoyed every moment. Your love, faith, and ministry for the Lord is inspiring to me.

I am not discouraged that the Lord did not arrive on the anticipated day. He IS Coming!

I wait each moment as it if were the last. So is the hope we share together dear friend and brother.

Keeping you close in prayer, asking for the Lord to strengthen you and not let discouragement or worry cause you doubt. Amen

Even so! Come Quickly Lord Jesus.

Linda G. said "however, what a blessing this has been.EXACTLY, Only those already weak of faith question their faith more when this happens. The rest of us are blessed because of it, because it DOES bring us closer to God.

Be honest folks, if you thought there was a chance a particular day would be the rapture, wouldn't you be praying more and trying to get yourself more right with God? Of course you would, unless you're not really serious about all this or your faith.

Got more rapture dates that are supported by scripture just as strongly as the Pentecost rapture was? THEN BRING THEM ON!.

That just provides me with another opportunity to demonstrate to God, that my faith is strong and that my "looking up" and "being watchful" will not cease because God did not play things out the way "I as a mere man" wanted it to.

Keep it up Jred. You're doing FANTASTIC. That quote you posted (that I put in a recent comment to remind everybody about again) from Grant Jeffrey says it perfectly when these prophetic expectations fail to materialize.

Well I believe your hypothesis made a lot of sense. The only thing is that it is written clear that we wont know when the rapture will take place we are closer then ever all Christians that prays for truth and answers can feel and see it close but we know from the Holy Scriptures that the time appointed will be a mystery we cannot predict it this his the whole point of Faith.

I believe that our only way to salvation is by our faith as it was his and will still be.

please read Hebrew 11

It would be too easy to live a life of sins and then we repent on the appointed date because we have a date. We must know only our faith can save us. We won't know because God want us to follow his commandment from now till the end .....

You can also read Matthew 24 .. I think we will have to suffer because of our faith in the end. let's be ready to stand strong in our Faith in God before that great desolation come to pass. Pray not to be given a date or a sign but to have the time and the strength to save as many lives as we can by the power of our Christ.

JRed...God bless you and your ministry. I have been reading your posts "religiously" for several mos. now. I must admit I was very disappointed to wake up in my boring old bed this morning, but agree with Kurt's post. Just keep on keepin' on! My heart breaks anew every day from longing to see the savior face to face, to hug and kiss him and tell him how much I've wanted to be with him. I can hardly wait...this world holds absoulutely NO real attraction any more. The only thing that keeps me slightly planted is my family. I just want to get outta here! I'll pray for you if you pray for me to have patience! Maranatha. DKB_-RN

I know the day is not over yet but I am okay. I have believed for years it would be on Roshashanah. I just know that it will be very soon. Because of your blog and others, I have been doing some hard core reexamination of my life and my relationship with my dear Lord. I have been very blessed by your writing and those who have shared so much. Thank you and keep it up because one day soon it will be here, there or in the air that we shall all meet.

Jeff,
Today May 31, 2009
I see you've had quite a week...
I'm in Rochester for a few days and haven't had much internet access but did manage to read most of the posts quickly...

I got really excited at the 2008 fall feast time and actually shined my shoes in anticipation of possibly being translated from this dimension or separated out(into our rooms till the indignation be past?) I only told one person and that if I was wrong and was disappointed, and nothing happened, I'd still keep watching and waiting as commanded enduring until the end.

If you get to Rochester for any reason this week and you let me know I'd love to meet you face to face...Of all the websites I usually monitor daily this one is the most helpful and detailed compilation in my opinion....You must be exhausted so thanks for providing such intellectual and scriptural discourse for discussion in this time of trouble as we all are in the furnace of affliction together it would seem.

Once I was led to pray for the rising of a dead person who did not warm or wake up but though I did not understand my faith was not shaken...Taking a stand and writing a book of remembrance like yours will stand the test of time I'd say...

I do not share your conviction that we will be 'raptured' in the traditional understanding and am not sensing any special annointing or leading about today specifically but that does not mean I do not think some very serious tribulations and calamities are not imminent. I do believe we must stand firm and continue to run to the only refuge available and that is offered only one way and that's by faith and having done all to stand patiently as we are brought to the completion/maturity of our faith...

Well, another day has come and gone. While I will continue to check out your site, I do have to admit it's getting a bit frustrating hearing everyone so sure of particular dates.

One thing for sure is, once we think we have the Lord all figured out we find out just how wrong we are...again.

While all the signs are compelling, we are apparently missing a key ingredient. Now I have no clue what that may be, but we have to keep searching for that one particular key and that is what is commendable...which is what you are doing JRed.

Kinda like the movie Nat'l Treasure where his dad would say "look son...where's this gonna lead? To another clue"? That's kinda how I feel right now...

but remember how BIG his eyes got when they did find the treasure?!!!

One thing we do know is...there IS a treasure. We have to keep searching...all of us!

JRed...check this out. Obama is meeting with the Pope, possibly, on July 10. This is the "famous 72" day after Obama's 100 days in office.

http://momento24.com/en/2009/05/31/pope-benedict-to-receive-us-president-obama-in-july/

el-papa-y-obama

Pope Benedict XVI will receive US President Barack Obama in early July, around the time of the upcoming Group of Eight (G8) summit in Italy, diplomatic sources said. Italian media reports cited both Vatican and US sources as confirming that preparations for the first-ever meeting between Benedict and Obama were underway.

The exact date is not yet certain, with Italian media saying a possible point for an audience would be July 10, after the three-day G8 summit set for July 8 to 10 in La Maddalena.

See the following site for a good explanation of the dates relating to Bible prophecy. Click on My Bible studies on the left...then on... Dates and times of Daniel's 70th Week. This person calculated a timeline...including leap years.

http://watchforthelord.com/index.htm

By the way...the day isn't over yet..still hoping to see Jesus in the clouds today!! If not, I will just keep on praying for the Lord to escape the tribulation to come.

Keep up the good work Jred and don't get discouraged. WE NEED YOU to continue as our watchman!!

God Bless you,
KT

Two years ago the LORD spoke to my heart to be ready, get prepared. Approximately, 2 months ago he told me it was time. About 2 weeks ago he told me it is coming. I wasn't sure what "it" was, but as I sat on my back patio and bathed in the Shalom of the LORD, he spoke the word chaos to me.
I don't know why he is speaking these things to me because I am truly not the most faithful follower and have stumbled many times in my walk of nearly 30 years.
I appreciate this site and others like it, so very much, as they help to encourage the body of Christ, spurring us on to love and good deeds.
Again, I don't know why he is speaking this into my heart.
I humbly share "it" with you so that you also may be prepared. My hope is that our LORD finds us all to be worthy at his return....
SHALOM

Personally I don't believe any of us will be transported away before the tribulation nor really do I feel it would be fair to all the past generations of christians who made the ultimate sacrifice that we should be spared witnessing our faith. However, I have no doubt that the Holy Spirit will endow each one of us with miraculous courage if ever we are called on to give our all. let us therefore praise God and prepare ourselves for whatever He asks of us through prayer, sacrifice, good works and trust and let tomorrow take care of itself. To Jesus be the power, glory and victory. Amen. Maranatha!

Thank God for another day of life!!God Bless you brothers and sisters.... Let's continue to watch and pray together!!

This is what I believe, we are not in the time of antichrist yet. what follows is this.
a period of chastisement that will be world wide,---75% of people will die.
a king who will lead us out of this period,
a time of world wide peace on earth,--about 50 years
the Antichrist, and
the second coming of Christ and the end of the world.---No such thing as a rapture only when Christ returns those alive will be changed from mortal to immortal--

You know, its kind of like waiting for a child to be born. I have had several children, and when it gets to be time, each day without the birth seems like an eternity. Every night you go to bed thinking, I'll be holding my baby tomorrow and when that day comes and goes you find the strength to say again, I'll be holding my baby tomorrow. This waiting for the Lord feels a lot like that!

The writer of www.lookupfellowship.com has written a superior article. I got your point and there is nothing to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not disagree with: Hard-ons and the need to take a leak in somebody else?s house are not a good combination I will be back.
