What We're Praying/Talking About
Our faith in action, or our small contribution in trying to apply what we're taught in Hebrews 5-6 and James 2:17-26 for the benefit of our dear brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ...

Prayer For Forgiveness
Forgive us Lord, for oversimplifying the message of the Gospel; cheapening it by neglecting the complete message; telling the world that Your precious blood makes no demands and has no expectations after we cover ourselves with it. Help us, Lord to center our hearts, minds, and souls on the fact that You are coming for a Bride who has made herself ready. Amen. (Revelation 19:7)

AMEN
I do agree for spirit salvation ...but for the salvation of the soul or reward ,these are acording to works and or punishments for those who DO NOT THE THINGS I SAY .those who love God ,will do the word and not only hear the word . Also you are expected to grow in grace and knowledge and endure untill the end . there is the much to do once you enter the race you are NOT expected to just sit on the sidelines ...ask Paul ,see 2 Peter and 2 John .you are freely entered into the race by HIM ,yes by grace but to then sit down and say I dont want to play any more [pull back] His spirit has no pleasure in such a one .....Grace is a free given gift by Faith that not of ourselves but rewards are according to works / or punishments if your on that side of it 1 cor 3 /13 the other scriptures you should all know just incase any doth protest
Also remember , at the END! of the race ,that is to be endured ,is the salvation of your soul .
before all comments flood in about not being able to lose out on salvation. I did not say such a thing ,spirit ,soul, body there are 3 and distinct .. the soul can be distroyed in gehenna. but most translations never make a distinction so it can screw you up if your not carefull. a general rule to follow is if scripture is talking about the begining of ones journey its about the spirit and free merited grace if its about a already born again christian its probably about the soul and relayted to works or reward
Yes Father...
Forgive us, all in all,
by your mercies which are,
(re-)NEW (ed) each day...
And
Revelation 22:10 ...the 'time' is at hand. He that is unrighteous let him be...
The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come."
First Anonymous, perhaps I misunderstand your post. It sounds as if you are saying that those who are saved by grace can receive some sort of punishment when they get to heaven if they have not done works. I know that those who are save by faith and not by works will be rewarded depending on their works but where is there punishment if you don't do certain works? As long as you call on the Lord, love the Lord and inspire to please Him, where will there be punishment if you don't do enough? How much is enough or better still, how much is not enough? The only punishment I know of is not accepting Jesus as your personal savior. If you have done zero work than I would have to say your punishment will be that you are not really saved.
You stated "...punishments for those who DO NOT THE THINGS I SAY..." Where is this written? This to me is a statement that implies I must do ALL the things He says or get punished for the ones I missed. In that case, we are back to being like the Jews before Christ.
Salvation comes through faith by grace, period. If you have true Salvation, the Holy Spirit will work through you to help you accomplish works. That's one way to test your salvation; do you have an urge to speak to others? Do seek out ways to better yourself through prayer to God and reading the bible? If so, you are probably saved and heaven bound with or without rewards.
1 Cor 3:14-15
If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself WILL BE SAVED, but only as one escaping through the flames.
What you build is works. Loss is not punishment, loss is not receiving the rewards you could have.
the bible is plain and simple ,if you follow it correctly. If you read carefully the posts ,pray and meditate on them you see just what i have said ..harmony in scripture. Spirit salvation and soul salvation ..look all through the 4 gospels ,and scan through the new test. especially 2Pet ,2John ,2Tim ,is there a punishment awaiting those who do not produce fruit ? does God not through away branches that dont produce, yes ,your rewards are according to works, the more you overcome to produce fruit the more your reward. does the bible say some 100 fold increase some 10 fold some nothing, and what happens to that person. its all there, through out the new test all over the place. look for yourself, scriptures abound . Christ's words mirror this, oh yes ...try to prove it correct or wrong, with a prayerfull, honest ,heart, youll be amazed what He shows you thats been there all along.
Anonymous, all I ask is slay me with the sword. I will not argue over words as it does no good for those watching. I am pretty studious in the Word, yet I fail to see punishment for anyone truly saved. All I asked was for you to show me, not tell me the names of books in the NT.
You say "if you follow it correctly". Our walk with Jesus is not paint by the numbers or a,b,c. You believe, you accept, that's it. Anything after that is a plus.
You also must remember, the 4 Gospels, blessed they be, were written with the Jews in mind, not Gentiles. That is were Peter and Paul come in as the Gift was extended to us.
You say "...does the bible say some 100 fold increase some 10 fold some nothing, and what happens to that person." Well, what does happen? Give me any example other than telling me to read it. If you know, help a fellow Christian out, isn't that what Jesus implored you to do?
