I was simply reading through various passages of Scripture tonight before heading to bed when I came across another interesting observation (don't you just love it when God does that?).
Luke 17:20-37
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
Luke 17:20-37
The kingdom of God was among the Jews, or rather within some of them. It was a spiritual kingdom, set up in the heart by the power of Divine grace. Observe how it had been with sinners formerly, and in what state the judgments of God, which they had been warned of, found them. Here is shown what a dreadful surprise this destruction will be to the secure and sensual. Thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. When Christ came to destroy the Jewish nation by the Roman armies, that nation was found in such a state of false security as is here spoken of. In like manner, when Jesus Christ shall come to judge the world, sinners will be found altogether regardless; for in like manner the sinners of every age go on securely in their evil ways, and remember not their latter end. But wherever the wicked are, who are marked for eternal ruin, they shall be found by the judgments of God.
Lastly, go back and re-read verse 37: "And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together." (emphasis mine) The G8 leaders that met in Italy met in L'Aquila. "L'Aquila" means "Eagle" in Italian.
Incredibly all these comments and things echo a lot of the statements made on subjects written here the past few days. I found that odd, and comforting in a way too.
Again, just an observation. Not sure I'm making much of a personal statement on this other than to point out what it says, what others have said about it, and to note how surreal it is that it mirrors (in whatever small way) the prophetic (especially the verses speaking of the Rapture) with real world events as well as a lot of the things discussed here lately.
Amazing! Praise God!

well dear Jeff it started to be the 11th here as well;
so I m curious.
I wait, deep down inside, silently.
This one makes sense: this is indeed a 'banner on a mountain' ( the importance for those, who see) , and the name of the place, Aguila, together with the starsign, earthquake and now this meeting..
thanks for the post

..you know what lingers in my mind..?
Original, it writes "where the carcass is " ; and it reminded me of Ezekiel 37, the valley of dry bones..
Usually, they explain this as the ressurection of the state israel -
but it doesn t say that: it says " these bones are the WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL "
Basicly, it means that He says, that we are dead, still.
Or better: compared to how He knows we could be.
And this 'waking up of His People ' is the same as 'Michael standing up ' ( from Daniel 12 )
I think you re on to something Jeff.

Pride before the fall? And the
vision of Obadiah...
1:3 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
1:4 Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith YHWH.
1:5 If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes?
1:6 How are the things of Esau searched out! how are his hidden things sought up!
1:7 All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.
1:8 Shall I not in that day, saith YHWH, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?
1:9 And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.
1:10 For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.
1:11 In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.
1:12 But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.
1:13 Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;
1:14 Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.
1:15 For the day of YHWH is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
1:16 For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.
1:17 But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
1:18 And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for YHWH hath spoken it.
1:19 And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.
1:20 And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.
1:21 And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be YHWH's.
Jeff,
Thanks for the posts on multiple raptures. I have wondered this for a long time and will be getting Ty's book to study this further. I think your post was referencing vs 37, but if you go back to vs 22 the NIV says,
Then he said to his disciples,
"The time is coming when you will long to see ONEof the days of the Sone of Man, but you will no see it." (emphasis mine) I wonder if his refers to the multiple rapture idea.
Thanks for you insight on this.

Yes Michael standing for his people...giving a "LITTLE" help...
He is not 'THE Savior' soooo...
He is the angel messenger of the LORD and a fellow servant..
We are not to provoke the angels of the LORD like they did Moses...
Yes Lone he is indeed waking his people up and he has works that follow him...
In the ESV, Jesus's words in Luke 12:37 read: "Where the CORPSE is, there the VULTURES will gather."
...which seems to work just as well with the picture -- maybe even better. I.e., the corpse of world commerce with the vultures trying to grab the last remnants.
That should have read Luke 17 (i.e., same passage).
You inspired me to dig deeper. I think you're onto something profound here...
I m not sure if I understand Your post, Deb
I only ment to say, that " the archangel Michael represents all of His People " ,
and that 'when Michael stands up',
it d mean that His 'firstfruits' will stand up,
out of this spiritual death
( the 'bones')
I did not mean to say, that all of us are dead :) but I have an awkward feeling, that His indwelt Life is soooo more greater as we ever expected....
that s all
don t be angry
Lone
Lone,
When Michael stands up? What makes you sure Michael isn't already standing? And some of us(many) are already standing are we not having been raised up first in the flesh having been dead in this land of the valley of the shadow? We having been raised and born again from above saved from the darkness of blindness and deafness? We all might need to adjust our concepts of firstfruits as traditonally taught and separating them from the idea of imminent immortality as much as we all want to get off this planet... And I just wanted to point out that Michael is not the same entity as Yahshua as some people teach, he's the 7th angel messenger of the LORD.
Yes we're standing up out of spiritual death but just when do we get glorified immortal bodies ...might be awhile yet.
Angry? of course not for even the angel messengers desire to look into and see and understand all these things...PS Glad I saw your come back because the email feature doesn't work for my google account...
