Famous Amos

I wanted us to recall a 2-part series I wrote back in September 2008 because I think it is going to be extremely relevant in the days and weeks ahead:

Famous Amos (PART 1)
Famous Amos (PART 2)

We know that prophecy is both practical and positive, not all "gloom-and-doom". Most of prophecy begins negatively, but ends positively because God is confident that what He prophesied will accomplish His end, which is always good! That sets the stage for today's readings.

Ultimately, we are to follow the command given in the Book of Isaiah:

Isaiah 55:6-7 --
"Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon."
