What We're Praying/Talking About

Our faith in action, or our small contribution in trying to apply what we're taught in Hebrews 5-6 and James 2:17-26 for the benefit of our dear brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ...

Interesting Theory On Gog-Magog

I was trying to catch up on my reading of work from my favorite prophecy websites an writers when I came across an interesting scenario posed on Steve M. Collins' blog.

Here's what one reader of that site presented:

Could the breakup of America into smaller segments invite a GOG-MAGOG attack? I am fully convinced that the US will be invaded and almost destroyed in the very near future, just as Ezekiel 38-39 foreteells. I also believe that the Isrealite people in the US are about fed up with our Federal government bullying us and overstepping it’s Constutional athority and are about ready to revolt. I have a theory, just a theory. Is it possible that the states do revolt against the Federal government, or the Federal government goes bankrupt or something and ceases to function? If so, each State would become it’s own smaller nation. Is it possible that this is going to happen and this is the reason for the Russians and company to think that they can safely come in and take over? Just a thought.

Interesting. At the very least, it certainly seems like a plausible scenario to me and one I'm sure many of us have considered before, but never voiced publicly.

Here is Steve's reply:

You pose an interesting alternative theory into what could trigger the eventual invasion by Russia, China, etc. If the USA disintegrated into groups of individual states, it would invite a foreign attack to be sure. However, keep in mind that Genesis 49:22-26’s prophecy about “Joseph” (Ephraim and Manasseh) does not hint at such a break-up of these nations in the latter days. Nevertheless, I’m posting your theory to the website so all readers can consider it as future events unfold.

The federal government has become so big and unwieldy and hopelessly indebted that the states could conceivably call a Constitutional Convention to reign in the federal government, forcibly limit its power and repudiate its debts in a new, revised US Constitution. That is also an extreme possibility, but it is possible. I posted a recent blog about a possible Constitutional Crisis that could result if President Obama continues to have difficulty proving he is a natural-born citizen of the USA. If this issue persists and grows, a Constitutional crisis or a possible repudiation of the federal government’s authority by many US states becomes more possible. The link below (from February) documents that many states are already getting so “fed up” with unconstitutional federal assertions of power that 20 states had already passed (or were considering) “Tenth Amendment” legislative actions to assert their Constitutional powers as states against federal encroachment. I recall seeing a more recent report that 30 states had taken or were considering such action, but I did not save that link. My home state of South Dakota easily passed such a resolution in this year’s session of our Legislature so you can add South Dakota to the list of states growing restive against the federal government’s actions.

So, what do you think? Please weigh in on the Comments Section because I think this could generate some good discussion on this aspect of end times prophecy that's needed now more than ever after considering everything in the news today and especially the subject matter of Friday's broadcast.

I think there are many scriptures that appear to be veiled references to the U.S. getting "whacked" big time (i.e., Ezekiel, Isaiah, etc.). I'm absolutely convinced the USA will be destroyed soon. There is too much justification for it and too much evidence that Obama is laying the groundwork for it. I'm just not sure for how much of it the Church will have to endure.

The author indicates an Article V Convention is not a likely prospect, in that he obviously believes the states have not applied for one.

He is incorrect.

All 50 states have submitted 750 applications for an Article V Convention. The Constitution mandates a convention call if 34 states submit 34 applications.

The texts of the applications can be read at www.foavc.org and include several amendment issues intended to limit the federal government.

It seems to me that the person who wrote this is interpretting Ezekiel 38 as an attack against the US. Clearly the attack prophesied in Ezekiel 38 is against Israel. Am I missing something here?

the thing everyone is missing is that ezekiel 39;1-8 says that god himself will destroy all but a 1/6 part of this massive army!!!!

Gog-Magog seems to involve two targets: Israel and the "land of unwalled villages." Duduman, Eggers, and many others have had confirming visions of devastation in America, and we all know we're over-ripe for judgment. I think we'll have our answers VERY soon.

There was a man many considered to be a Prophet named Dumitru Duduman who had many visions about America.
In one entitled "America will Burn" he was told by an angel that this is EXACTLY what would happen. He is long dead now but his son has a ministry here's the link :

You can find these visions at many places like here:
