A lot of thoughts during these early morning hour. I'm so glad I spent the time to do some summer cleaning earlier today because I just discovered that this date could be a historic (infamous) one before it's through.
I simply had to share this email I found that was sent to be my Chris G way back in March because it could prove to be quite relevant in the next few days especially now with the latest news coming out of Israel.
In case you missed it, I saw two potential harbingers of doom in the news reports from Israel yesterday. First, Israel announced that no option is off the table when it comes to preventing Iran from going nuclear. Second, I just learned that the first confirmed fatality from the Swine Flu in Israel was reported as well.
Here's the email I received 4 months ago:
My head is spinning a bit, so I'll try to keep this as brief as possible while still getting the point clearly across.
I have been reading up quite a bit lately on prophetic theories about the tribulation mentioned in Scripture and the return of the Lord (which of course will be coupled with his judgment of those upon the earth). I have seen three different explanations that are VERY plausible, and all three suggest a mid-point of the tribulation some where between early 2012 and spring of 2013. If the earliest midpoint is say January, 2012, then we would have to back up 3.5 years (or more specifically, 1290 days), That would put something big possibly happening as soon as July, 2009.
God is very interesting (to say the least) in that he often uses the same date in the Hebrew calendar to do certain things. One example is that He commanded Israel to kill the lamb on Passover, and Jesus (the Lamb of God) was crucified on a Passover. So, the question becomes - Is there any significant date in Jewish history that is significant in around this time of July, 2009. Interestingly, yes.
July 30th, 2009 is the month and day called 9 Av. This day of this month has been VERY significant in the past. Here is a list of events that have occurred on this day in history:

This is a list of secular events that happened on the 9th day of the Jewish month of Av to the Jews. All these are verifiable in the history books.
* The Jewish Commentary, the Mishna, records that the people believed the evil report of the spies and mourned all night in fear. They turned against Moses and the two faithful spies, Joshua and Caleb (the only two from Egypt that entered the promised land). (Ta'anit 29a says it happened on the 9th of Av, Numbers 14:1-10 just records the curse from the Lord and the revolt against Moses and not the date.) This event started their 40 year wandering in the desert.
* Destruction of the 1st temple, 29 July 587 BC (9 Av 3174)
* Destruction of the 2nd temple, 4 Aug 70 AD (9 Av 3830)
* The Roman army plowed Jerusalem with salt in 25 July 71 AD (9 Av 3831)
* The destruction of Simeon Bar Cochba's army in 5 Aug 135 AD (9 Av 3895)
* First Crusade declared by Pope Urban II. 10,000 Jews killed in first month of Crusade. Crusades bring death and destruction to thousands of Jews, totally obliterate many communities in Rhineland and France. 14 July 1095 (9 Av 4855)
* The Martyrs of York - 500 Jews died as a result of the rich storming a castle in York England, killing them all on 14 July 1190. (9 Av 4950)
* England expelled all of the Jews in 18 July 1290 AD (9 Av 5050)
* Spain expelled all of the Jews in 2 August 1492 AD (9 Av 5252)
* World War I is declared on the ninth of Av, 1 August 1914 (9 Av 5674)
* Russia mobilized for World War I and launched persecutions against the Jews in Eastern Russia on this day too. 1 August 1914 (9 Av 5674)
* On the 10th of July 1942, the Germans began a systematic liquidation of the Ghetto, deporting Jews to extermination camps at the rate of six to ten thousand per day. Deportation started on 9th Av. By the Autumn there were only 40,000 Jews left in Warsaw. By early 1943, the Jews refused to cooperate with the Germans and the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising began. Renewed attempts to start deportations were answered with reprisals. (9 Av 5702)
Two events on a given day is 1 in 365 days. 3 events on the same day is 1 X 365 X 365 = 133,225 Hence, the odds on these 12 events happening to the same people, the same country, over the centuries on the same day is 1 chance in 15.318 billion times a billion times a billion or:
15,318,685,820,000,000,000,000,000,000!!!!!
(365 raised to the 11th power = 1.53186582 x 10 to the 28th power.) A 1 in 20 is a notable event!!!!

Now, I'm not saying for certain that July, 2009 will be the start of the last seven years, but it is very much in the realm of possibility, and July 30th will be a date to watch. Whether this is a significant one or not, you can bet that 9 Av plays an important role in the last 7 years, and will be related to the nation of Israel and possibly the Temple (which is not yet rebuilt).
Wow! What an incredible piece of discernment, huh? And to think this email sat in my Temporary Folder all this time and today was the day I decided to finally clean it out! That blows my mind. Thanks be to God and the Holy Spirit for burdening me with the need to do that. Remember that there are no coincidences in the Christian lifestyle.
In addition, I came across yet another email about 1-2 months old on the same subject. It added that this date is the end of the 21 day period of mourning which begins for the Jews on the 17th day of Tammuz. This date is commonly referred to as "Destruction Day" by the Jewish people because of all the terrible things which have happened to the Jewish people on the 9th day of Av throughout history:
> Both the first and second Temples were destroyed on the 9th day of Av in past history by the armies of Babylon and Rome .
> It was also on the 9th day of Av that the Jews were expelled from Great Britain in the 1200’s, and from Spain in the 1400’s.
> It was on the 9th day of Av that Adolph Hitler’s "Final Solution" to commit the Jews to genocide by gassing and burning them was approved in 1938.
> This date is exactly 60 days past Pentecost, which occurred on May 31st. "60" is the Bible number associated with "pride; the pride of the Gentiles; boasting of the Gentiles; times of the Gentiles." Is it possible that the Rapture of God’s people could occur, and the terrible Tribulation period could begin on the earth on this 9th day of Av? I do not know! But I do know the 9th day of Av has been a highly significant date in the past, and therefore it could be a very significant date this year. Watch this date!
As significant as all of that is to us students of Bible prophecy there's something else that's even more incredible that I feel needs to be included in this column. It involves the ministry of the Two Witnesses. First, another email from a reader. This time it's Kurt H:

I believe he may have stumbled on something HUGE especially given a story I just read today. Let me just cut to the chase. There were two unprecedented, and oddly similar, cosmic events -- that happened (or at least were reported I should say) on the same day! Here's what I'm asking myself for some inexplicable reason: Are the following two stories prophetically symbolic in any way? If so, how? Why do I keep thinking about the ministry of the Two Witnesses being at hand after reading them? Here are those two stories I'm referring to:

Regardless of whether or not any of that is related to this discussion, let's all keep our eyes on Israel in the coming hours and days because this may be it. By "it" I mean that we may see the Psalm 83 War and/or Gog-Magog War as prophesied, along with perhaps the destruction of Damascus, Syria. Then again, the "it" might be something else entirely like the "unveiling" of the Ark of the Covenant, the announcement that a covenant has been confirmed, or the news that the Temple will be rebuilt. Let's put it this way...I wouldn't be surprised in the least bit if we did see either of those events in the news today.
Draw near to the Lord and be as spiritually ready as you can because you'll need the full armor of God and the spiritual weapons of warfare should a similar international event occur. Fight any fear with faith.
Amazing! Look at this! The Temple Institute are to Build Sacrificial Altar on Tisha B'av http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/132630
This altar that they are going to build would be built according to Jewish sacrificial regulations and when completed would be ready for the numerous voluntary and obligatory sacrifices that similarly occurred during the Old Testament days. This altar would then be moved into the new Jewish Temple if and when it is completed.
Obviously this could be huge prophetic news and in light of a scripture from the book of Ezra, sacrifices on this altar could occur before the Temple is built. Here is the scripture for your consideration.
Ezra 3:1-7
1. Now when the seventh month came, and the sons of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered together as one man to Jerusalem.
2. Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak and his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and his brothers arose and built the altar of the God of Israel to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.
3. So they set up the altar on its foundation, for they were terrified because of the peoples of the lands; and they offered burnt offerings on it to the LORD, burnt offerings morning and evening.
4. They celebrated the Feast of Booths, as it is written, and offered the fixed number of burnt offerings daily, according to the ordinance, as each day required;
5. and afterward there was a continual burnt offering, also for the new moons and for all the fixed festivals of the LORD that were consecrated, and from everyone who offered a freewill offering to the LORD.
6. From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to the LORD, but the foundation of the temple of the LORD had not been laid.
As you can see in Ezra the sacrifices on the altar occurred before the foundation of the Temple had been laid. This shows me that this could easily occur again today. If in fact they do build this altar we could be getting very close to daily sacrifices starting.

The Lord gave His' (jews) the opportunity to escape in 69, during the siege. All the Jews who REFUSED, and did nót listen, were destroyed. ( Josephus)
The Bar Kochba revolution was one of secular jews.
The jews who were expelled out of Spain were the secular wealthy jews, hated because of that and their high positions, but more because they had helped the Moors against (!) the people, with the intent to let the Moors be their police.
And WW I and Hitler...it was a massive scam of the Synagogue to let 'gentiles' kill the Synagogues own brothers. Not understood in the Christian world untill this very day.
9th of Av could be a bad day indeed: but let s not forget the context; the question is for who.

It was reported yesterday that the Temple Institute will "begin" constructing the sacrificial altar today. It will be movable so that when the temple is built, it can moved in to it. The pressure in the cooker is building.

3.5 years from now is Jan 2013.
but one must remeber is this according to the secular or civil calender or the holy day new moon cal. the two are off from each other by couple of days and sometimes a whole month
this year they match up month wise but are two days off day wise
by the new moon the 9th of Av is on the sabbath its a double holy day or high holy day Aug 1 st is the 9th
so if things do happen which will God start them on the acknowledged wrong civil or holy cal. which the priests say they will not start to follow till the temple is set up yes they fully acknowledge this , might God start it off to show them His cal. and the signal to start following it?
He states He will raise [it] look it up in strongs] up in the last day, a overall big picture. then He goes on to say He will raise [him] check strongs]_at_ the last day .
and again He says He will raise him at the last day ..so if you look up the last day for all 3 youll note they are diff. in strongs ...
I believe they correspond to the 3 lambs, sheep ,sheep statement to Peter ..and if you see the diff. of the 3 at the last day compare it to the 3 that are in the conversation with Peter it matches up to the Peter statement
and you then can match that up to the 3 harvests that God used to reap us [man] from the earth , one in the spring [if the summer is a type of the trib. spring is a ttype of pre trib. and after summer is mid trib, and fall would be wrath or 2 part of trib.
again spring or pre trib. which is the most precious to Him and its before the summer trib. the other summer main harvest taken out at trumpets.
Moses breaks the tablets and the temples are distroyed from 17th Tammuz to 9th of Av he makes the Israelites eat the statue of gold and then goes back up the mountian for 40 more days a type of the 40 month testing in fire of the left behind a type of the 40 yr wandering in the wilderness and comes back down at trumpets with the second set of tablets type of the main harvest trumpets rapture and sheep word spoken to Peter and 2nd will raise him in the last day in John6/44 paul also talked about a [main] harvest trumpet rapture at the sound of the [last trump]
the last sheep and John 6/54 are the jewish and gentile people who have gone through the whole trib. and are now going into the mill. bodily [no spirit heavenly bodies for them] into the 1000 yr earthly part of the mill. the gentiles that come to call on the name of the Lord in the trib. they go all the way through but do get to go into the mill [bodily] no spirit new body or inheritence in the heavely kingdom.
Like Matt 25/31-46 they arent in the age of grace ..also the jewish firstfruits 144 are to go into the mill. they are sealed just at the mid point in Jerusalem and flee right at the start of the day of the Lord or day of wrath 2nd part of trib.
So getting back to the focus of the 3 groups and the diff. between them , yes it does show that there are diff,s and the first group is the most treasured or endeared to Him who happen not to go through the summer or trib.
the srongs words for the 1st group of three sees right up to the glass or mirror-like glass , our faces will be pressed close up to the start of the antichrist and things along with his return but not pass into it.
.hence the glass analogy that is not there for the other two groups !
also the lambs being most precious vs the next two groups of sheep with the three harvest times the Lord has and Israel had to go before the Lord with 3 times a year.
Isa 18 is good type and analogy if you look at this nation is what Isa is talking about and :3-4 coming up the hot summer sun ,for the left behind and He will take His rest .ie. our earthly work in these bodies is done !
the whole focus then is when is this [last day] John 6/40, 44,54 when is the first ,last day raising ? a special sabbath ?
Its all a perfect match ther is still more days to wait I just feel bad for the amount of the nay sayers building onto their rebuke when all is said and done

And from Wikipedia: "On the day after Tisha B'Av in 2005, Israel began the expulsion of Gush Katif residents in the Gaza Strip. The expulsion was pushed back by a day, so as not to coincide with Tisha B'Av."
And a few days after the Gaza evacuation hurricane Katrina made landfall. We all know what happened to New Orleans.
Don't mess with Israel! God said, "I will bless those who bless thee and curse those who curse thee", and He meant it.

Just remember this:
When the altar is rebuilt and the sacrifices begin, if you are near a person who criticizes the sacrifices then get way from them! Because Yah is going to judge them and you just don't want to be standing next to them when it happens.
I am a little late in getting to this. While the reasoning is sound the dates are wrong. Everything important that happens to the people of Israel are connected with the feasts and certain days.
According to Jewish tradition the Feast of Trumpets is called, "The Time of Jacobs Trouble." It is also called, "The one Long Day," "The day and hour no man knows." It is called the last 2 names simply because it is the only feast started on the new moon. Since no one knew exactly when in a 2 day period it really began it was given those names.
So if your looking for a day for the Tribulation to start and the catching away, it would be that feast day.

Anonymous, the "catching away" occurs after the sun is darkened and the moon does not give its light, which occurs "immediately after the distress of those days" which is in reference to the Tribulation.
Go back to the Scriptures and read it for yourself.
Alan in San Diego, I agree with what you are saying. There seems to be a hint of Anti-Semitism within some of these comments. God has never taken away His blessing of the Jewish people. He loves his people and He will work everything out that in the end all of His people who are left, will see the Messiah and believe. That is the divine program. Hating His people is not going to be fruitful for anyone, so lets get with the program.
Agree with Bob and Alan. We must remember that we are merely grafted into the olive tree and God calls Israel the "apple of His eye" and He asks us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Not just for the sake of the Messianic Jews, but even the secular Jews. He loves them with an everlasting love, just as He loves us. I am so thankful for His grace and the covenent that He made with us.
In regards to happenings on the 9th of AV: it was also the very day when the 10 spies brought back the bad report. Factor that one into the probability equation.

I like very much members from the house of Judah. But what is almost impossible to get through, in the christian community, is that not all jews are Judah,
but big part of 'em is Esau, false.

Whenever one reads the oldtestament prophets,this difference is present.
So, the phrase "bless them who bless you ", is about ALL of His people.

I am going to piss a lot of people off and I do not care. Sometimes the truth is OFFENSIVE to those who do not want to hear it.
First of all, Esau is not part of the Israel. The people of Israel came from Israel(Yacov). Since Esau was his brother and not his father or son Esau is not even in the mix. The Tanak(Torah, Prophets, and Writings), what we call the Old Covenant speaks about the descendants of Esau and they are completely separate from Israel.
Speaking about the Anti-Semitic tone that comes through the the comment section here, it is true there is one. This comes from heretical/twisted/Greek/Western European teaching of the Messianic writings(New Covenant).
I hate to break this to all you Jew haters out there. Yeshua(Jesus) was born a Jew, lived as a Torah observing Jew, died as a Jew, and when He comes back He will rule as a Jew on the throne of His father David.
Also He did not come to start a new religion. He told you plainly that He did not come to do away with the Torah. The word Law is a bad translation perpetrated down through the years by prejudicial thinking.
There is NO SUCH THING AS THE "CHURCH" That word is not found anywhere in the Scripture! It is a made up Greek Word. The only words you find are ekklesia(kahal) and sunagoge(edah) the words in parentheses are the original Hebrew words. They mean gathering, assembly, congregation, a community.
William Tyndale published the most accurate translation of the New Testament in 1525. The word church does not appear anywhere in it. He translated it as community. The "church" burned him at the stake as a heretic.
This is the same reason the Puritans left England for the New World. They were persecuted for the very same reason.
Paul warned you not to be filled up with pride because unbelieving branches of the Olive Tree of Israel were ripped out and you were grafted in. He says plainly you have been adopted into the Commonwealth of Israel. So idiots you are considered part of the Jewish family.

Exciting Month Ahead
Shalom one and all!!
This Thursday, July 30th, is the 9th of Av on the biblical calendar. It is the very day when God’s dwelling place on earth was destroyed, twice! In both 586BC and 70AD on the very same day in both times the Temple was destroyed. It was the same day the 10 spies brought the bad report. It was also when all the Jews were kicked out of England in 1290, Spain in 1492, and World War I started, and Hitler’s proclamation to kill the Jews was on this day.
We know from God’s Word that there is a prophetic event coming where this fast day that they have been keeping for 2,500 years will be turned into a day of joy and feasting:
Zec 8:19 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.
This verse, when it is fulfilled, will result in the next prophetic event in the following verses:
Zec 8:20-23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
What’s amazing to me is this month, known for disaster to the Jewish people, is called the month of Av which means “Father”.
Yet the Father will comfort His people and make everything right. Hopefully this will be the year they return to their heavenly Father and again seek His face.
Ho 5:14,15 For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him. I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
When they do here’s the consequence:
Ho 6:1,2 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. The times are coming very soon.

My main message I want everyone to hear is NO FEAR!! Just as only Joshua and Caleb among all the leaders had a no fear message, I want you to know God is able!
There has been too much fear mongering among the body of Messiah. It’s like a sugar adrenaline rush people can’t get off of.
Just as their generation was one with the greatest miracles ever and they were on the very edge of receiving the covenant promises, they were known as a generation of no faith. They feared the giants.
In Messiah’s time with all of His miracles they also were known as the generation of no faith, wicked and perverse and yet they too were the very generation to receive the covenant promise of the coming Messiah.
Here we are, the generation at the culmination of History, about to receive the covenant promises, and yet many are filled with fear and unbelief in God’s ability to carry us over the finish line. God is faithful!!
De 1:30,31 The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.

The Lord said when He comes again will He find faith on earth? Don’t fall in with the majority! Quit listening to those spreading a spirit of fear. There’s nothing wrong with a healthy dose of the fear of God, though! Realize He is coming to judge the ungodly and reward the righteous. When you realize God has been faithful to the original covenant He made with Israel you find comfort knowing you are grafted in to that covenant!!
Ro 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises!!!
If you think He did away with the covenant to the Jews because of their unbelief and made a new one with gentiles there’s a gnawing feeling maybe He might just do away with the New Covenant to the gentiles!! Do you realize the New Covenant was with the Jews to begin with so you can feel assured He is still the same, Yesterday, Today and Forever!!!
Jer 31:31-33 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
God keeps covenant! Many believe God forsook His Covenant to the Jews because of history.
But look what God says in the context of the New Covenant:
Jer 31:35-37 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.
