Miranda Rights For Terrorists?

Once again, this is exactly the type of news story that fuels the conspiracy fire while simultaneously supporting the claims I made during last Friday's The Big Finale show on the Alliance of Civilizations Initiative.

Back in March, President Barack Obama said himself that Miranda rights did not apply to terror suspects captured overseas.

Then why in the world has the Justice Department confirmed a few weeks ago (sorry I missed this story at the time!) that FBI agents in Afghanistan are reading Miranda warnings to suspected terrorists captured there!?! Read the full report HERE.

President Barack Obama was interviewed on CBS’s 60 Minutes on March 22nd. During that interview, he was asked about the captured terror suspects being held in Guantanamo Bay. Obama said: "The whole premise of Guantanamo, promoted by Vice President Cheney, was that somehow the American system of justice was not up to the task of dealing with these terrorists. I fundamentally disagree with that. Now, do these folks deserve Miranda rights? Do they deserve to be treated like a shoplifter down the block? Of course not."

Again, so what gives then? The quote that really caught my eye though was this one:

"I was a little surprised to find it taking place when I showed up because we hadn’t been briefed on it, I didn’t know about it," said Rogers. "We’re still trying to get to the bottom of it, but it is clearly a part of this new global justice initiative." (emphasis mine)

Hmmm, I wonder if that "new global justice initiative" is in any way linked to the AOC and it's connection to the Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.

Let's not forget, as I reported during that show, what’s absolutely critical for us to acknowledge here is that the difference between the AOC and other interfaith efforts is that it has been incorporated into MILITARY STRATEGY thus giving it lion’s teeth! That’s right! The Alliance has set forth to establish a global conscience which UN signatory nations are to adopt in implementation of the Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy!

Makes you wonder doesn't that? Either it's that, or they're conditioning soldiers for domestic operations one day in the near future when they'll be tasked with reading such rights to U.S. citizens perhaps.

Either way, let's rest on the promise of God:

1 Timothy 1:7 -- "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
