What We're Praying/Talking About

Our faith in action, or our small contribution in trying to apply what we're taught in Hebrews 5-6 and James 2:17-26 for the benefit of our dear brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ...

Being Steadfast And Unmovable

This is another excellent reminder from David Wilkerson who reminds us of a few important truths no matter what we're up against spiritually.

Take 5 minutes and start you day by reading
"Being Steadfast And Unmovable".

My favorite part?

God is urging us through this verse: "Stop passing a verdict over your work for me. You have no business judging how effective you’ve been. And you have no right to call yourself a failure. You don’t yet know what kind of influence you’ve had. You simply don’t have the vision to know the blessings that are coming to you." Indeed, we won’t know many such things until we stand before him in eternity.

While the devil is lying to you, saying that all you’ve done is in vain, that you’ll never see your expectations fulfilled, God in his glory is preparing a greater blessing. He has better things in store, beyond anything you could think or ask.

Amen.

And this is also where we deal with disillusionment. We have our ideals: how we think things should go: perhaps feel/know we are not in our element. Yet it is time to let go of these ideals and CLING to JESUS! Read some of Franklin Schaeffer's stuff. This guy became totally disillusioned with the evangelical church and politics associated with that denomination. And instead of looking to the Father, he ran to the Orthodox church (to my Orthodox friends, no offense). He has a lot of anger an disappointment and I really think he believes we can achieve some great things in this country and world, but it also sounds like he has given in to the one world order. I do think we should always support our presidents and pray for the work they do, but unlike Frank (who seems sold out) I could not vote for a man who would encourage his child to kill his own grandchild! If you cannot respect life from the very begining, how shall one be trusted with all other life? Is this radical? To Frank and the 'world', yes it is.
As GOD molds you and shapes you and you begin to change and be like HIM and work like HIM, watch for the simple smiles that say,"yeah, see you later! weirdy".

His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways or not our ways.
