Ok, just a couple of quick things on this whole H1N1/Swine Flu stuff. I know it probably feels like we've beat this one into the ground already, but I just have to get a couple of things off my chest.
Let me just start by saying that while I know that scoffers will come, I can't imagine what Jeremiah must've felt after his 40 some years of warning the people and pleading with them to just open their eyes to the truth, which all fell on deaf ears.
Whoever came up with the phrase "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink..." was an absolute genius. Still, that doesn't lessen the frustration I have towards family and friends who continue to live in denial even after I referred them to what I thought was the definitive study that would end this whole debate once and for all; the commentary titled "Bombshell: Hallelujah! Mainstream Media Gets It Right For Once!" that was published just a couple of days ago.
I sent that link to EVERYONE on my personal contact list -- again, family and friends. Out of about 50 or so emails that were sent out to individuals, ONLY three people responded (my mom and my dad were two of the three respondents). Now, I don't expect everyone to respond especially if you already agree with me, but I expected to generate some discussion from what I sent.
Also interesting to note was the fact that of those three who responded, one still says he's getting the Flu vaccine for his two small children (one is an infant), and he even admitted that he wanted to get them the H1N1/Swine Flu vaccine, but it's not available yet.
Sometimes I wonder why I waste my time. Ok, sorry, I don't really mean that. I know that I'm just asked to plant seeds. Even so, I'm just saddened because lately a lot of these same people have made it very clear that they think I'm being paranoid. Others have actually insinuated that I'm making all of this up. The rest just don't care and could care less about all of this stuff. God help them! Right, I'm the "crazy" one because I'm just trying to inform my family and friends because I care about them and don't want to see them get hurt.
Look, I have no problem with people and families deciding what's best for them. If they decide they want to take the vaccines, then fine by me. This is America after all. What I do have a problem with, however, is people and families deciding to take it when they're not fully informed, or when they have swallowed the fear and lies that are being fed to them daily.
That reminds me! This is just another example of how people have lost the ability to reason, and of how common sense is virtually non-existent these days.
Let's think about my motivations for a moment. How do I stand to benefit from getting family and friends to believe what I'm telling them, and from getting them to refuse to take the vaccines? Other than perhaps a boost to my ego and pride, and maybe even getting them to seek the truth for themselves, I don't benefit at all! Sure, I might sleep a little more peacefully at night knowing that my loved ones are not willingly leading themselves to the slaughter, but there are no tangible benefits.
Now, on the flip side, how does the government and the pharmaceutical drug manufacturers stand to benefit by getting people to believe what they're telling them, and from getting them to take the vaccines? Duh! They stand to earn millions and billions of dollars! Pretty tangible, eh?
So, who has a greater motivation to lie to you about this whole sordid mess!?! It's absolutely preposterous to me that family and friends can't make this basic connection. It frustrates and saddens me too because I try to take all the hard work out of the process (by doing hours of research for them) and provide them with the appropriate links to articles, statistics, and videos and it still has no effect whatsoever. Gosh, I'm beginning to wonder if people even take the time to look at the things I send them, or if they see my name and simply click the Delete Button instead.
Moving on, I want to highlight an experience my wife and I had yesterday. You'll recall that it was only a month ago when we took the kids in for their annual physical and I debated their Physician who lectured me when he tried to give me a history lesson on what happened in 1918, and why "we need to be smart about things" this time around. I know I'm a youthful looking 30-year-old, but I don't like like I'm in Junior High. I do have a brain. Anyway, we want back-and-forth until I scored a verbal knockout punch citing some facts that he couldn't refute. I hated to have to do that in front of his Intern too.
Fast forward to Monday. That was the day when Mrs. JRed came down with something awful. Aside from the sniffles and a minor cough, the kids and I were completely fine (actually, I was symptom free and still am!), but Wifey was another story. So, we both took the day off from work, and drove in to see her doctor. The doctor was convinced she had the flu although he never went so far as to call it the H1N1/Swine Flu variety.
Interestingly, this was after he took her temperature that read 98.6, and after she told him she didn't have a temperature at all through this whole thing, and after she explained that she did not have the aches or chills, and after she explained that she still had an appetite, and after she reminded him that her mother saw him just last week with the SAME SYMPTOMS and he gave her what's called a Z-Pack for what he called Bronchitis.
His solution? To prescribe Tamiflu! No way! At that point, Mrs. JRed kindly asked if i was possible for him to give her something else because she didn't feel comfortable taking that given what she had read (and what other doctors had told her even). His answer? "Nope, I'm sorry. You have the flu and this is the only thing that will help it." She asked what she should do then since she won't be taking Tamiflu. He proceeded to tell her to continue doing everything we were already doing at home on our own! "That'll be $20 for your visit. Thank you and I hope you feel better." What a scam! Robbed blind! See, stuff like that really aggravates me. So much for the Hippocratic Oath I guess, huh? I'm no doctor, but I'm not stupid either. There's no way she has/had the flu of any kind.
Later that night, Mrs. JRed was playing Farmville (her guilty pleasure) on Facebook when our new neighbor across the street sent her an Instant Message. She was asking what was new since she hadn't seen us outside lately. Wifey filled her in. Our neighbor responded in sheer horror (this is coming from someone who already gave the Flu shot to her two young kids and couldn't wait for the Swine Flu vaccine to become available too): "What are you and everyone else gonna do!?!" To which Wifey responded: "What do you mean?" Our neighbor's response? "Well, you could die!!!"
That's when I decided it was time to grab the keyboard and conduct a little social experiment. She wasn't one of the people I sent my latest email to so I wanted to see how she would respond to some cold, hard facts. Here's what I typed:
"Actually, my mother-in-law's a Nurse and from all the research we've done it's pretty compelling that this whole H1N1/Swine Flu stuff is nothing by hype and fear -- the mortality rate for the H1N1/Swine Flu is LESS THAN the annual mortality rate for the regular seasonal flu. That's using the CDC's (government's) own data too."
I was curious to see how someone would respond when presented with the facts. We waited for like 5-10 minutes before a response came back. Here's what she wrote:
"They're calling it the young person's disease though."
Not sure what that meant although I assumed she was trying to make the point that it is affecting the young more than the elderly (as if the mortality rate only applies to old people or something). That was all she wrote in response as she just plowed her way right by the truth as if I never even shared that with her. Unreal. Indicative of how far we've fallen as a society when common sense no longer exists, and people allow others to do the thinking (and deciding) for them without looking into things first. I bet Satan is salivating to get a hold of these people!
It's a funny thing when you use the CDC's own data to make a case against them. Sadly, people have become too apathetic these days to connect even the most simple dots like that. No, I'm not a doctor, but I'm not stupid either.
I just wish family and friends would take the time to seriously consider the evidence because they're not a bunch of idiots either.

I'm with you all of this. And also, I play FarmVille. Ha ha.
HA! I just knew someone was bound to bring that up in one of these comments. Congrats on being the first to do so -- now send me something for my farm!

Dear Jeff,
Did you know that Jesus, himself, thought he had labored in vain? I know that sounds sacreligious doesn't it? Well, read the above post by David Wilkerson, which was his post TODAY, by the way, and see for yourself what he had to say about Isaiah 49:4.
Persevere, endurance, keep the faith and keep up the good work.

You ever notice how some old peole just DONT give out advice? Because they have learned that nobody wants to hear it and some of the best lessons learned are hands on. The info's out there. The writing is on the wall. GOD gave us all brains (conscience con-with, science-knowledge) and if folks don't want to use them, then...whatever....suffer the consequences.
I, for one of many I'm sure, appreciate all of your hours of research, and I won't be getting the flu shot.
Thanx, JRed, and may God continue to bless you, and your wife and family.
Well I am personally very glad that you and others are getting the information out there for those of us who are searching. I am a little older than you and I find that you need to salt just enough so they become thirsty. I do have to ask what kind of "conspiracy theorist" goes on facebook? Haven't you heard facebook is a product of the CIA, and you are making it easier for them to harvest your personal information? Now, I am a conspiracy theorist. I can't hide it, I don't trust the government. I can't tell my family I don't trust the government over
H1N1, so I just find common ground, and get them to form their own healthy distrust of the government. Keep on salting, it's all good.
You're quite welcome guys. I'm just trying to share the things that are important to me in this debate.
To the last Anonymous poster, I'm so glad you brought up the CIA-Facebook connection because I'm working on a new piece that speaks directly to that reality.
You know, I thought about that for a moment when I first signed up, but as quickly as the thought began it left. The way I see it, I already know I'm on their "Red List" given the things I've written here and said on-air as well. They have enough on me that whatever they find at my Facebook account is peanuts. Plus, Facebook was a FREE tool that I just couldn't ignore given the line of work I'm in (the Recruiting Industry). Good question though -- loved it! You'll love that upcoming article on the subject too.

JRed,
I am a chiropractor and it has been one of my missions lately to get the word out about this vaccine-hoax. Thank you for your contribution. Even if it feels like it is falling on deaf ears, the truth must be known. For those who possess the truth, it would be a crime to keep it locked up. God Bless...
I'm sure someone already pointed it out, but perhaps it's not apathy so much as spiritual blindness (it's not limited to the vaccines any longer).
You are not alone. My family has been cautious and did research, etc., but my husband's family all jumped on the pharma bandwagon and oddly enough *cough cough* only one did not get ill within 36 hours of getting the seasonal flu shot.
I am a little surprised at your horrified reaction to the doctor taking your $20 and basically telling you to keep doing what you are doing at home and to get better soon. First of all, I would wager that most people would not have a $20 bill for a doctors visit (you must be on some insurance program to have such a low doctors visit charge?) so in my case I certainly would not call that highway robbery. But, you did refuse his suggested treatment, Tamiflu, which probably would have not helped anyway, and could have done harm, as you were right in refusing it. But to have expected some sort of prescriptive artificial medication and to feel cheated because you did not receive "proper treatment" is sad. The Lord gave us wisdom and many ways of healing our bodies naturally through proper nutrition, herbs... and before there was Tamiflu, there were no pharma antivirals on the market anyway and the doctor would always say just go home and sweat it out, ... there are very many natural antivirals and antibacterials that the Lord has given us to use.
Where to begin? This is a tricky one to respond to. Fair enough Jamie. Although I don't think I'd called my reaction "horrified" because it was more about "frustration" instead.
You're absolutely right about the medicine/prescription part. I would've personally just "sweated it out" like you suggested and allowed nature (and God's natural remedies) take their course, but my wife (God bless her) was looking for a quicker recovery along the lines of using what had worked so well in the past for her whenever she's had the same symptoms (that Z-Pack thing). Typically, that helps her get better within 24 hours and with her starting a new job that's what she was looking for. Not entirely unreasonable especially considering her mother was just there a few days earlier with the same symptoms and she received that Z-Pack.
But I'm getting off point and away from what I wanted to address from you comment. My issue is more with the fact that we're already paying roughly $8,4000/year for Health Insurance and so when I have to add an additional $20 on top of it, just for an office visit, I expect to get the appropriate service in return -- not a doctor who is too lazy to care about diagnosing me or my wife properly.
I mean, come on. Don't take her temperature, see that it's 98.6, ask if she's had a fever at all the whole time (she told him clearly that she hadn't), and then proceed to tell her with a straight face that it's "definitely the flu" because that's insulting -- to her and to himself given his background and education. I don't think that's being too harsh or unreasonable.
If you want to make this a political issue then fine. I'll concede that you're absolutely right -- I get that we should be happy and fortunate to have some kind of health insurance when some people don't and have to pay so much more for the same office visit. But what good is health insurance when you don't get the proper treatment? And yes, we've already decided to change doctors b/c this was the final straw in a series of "questionable" things.
Here's the issue: Why are we paying each week for health insurance when we're not getting our money's worth? And to your point about the $20...No, we don't have $20 to spare actually. As a small business owner, I'm only 1.5 years in and, as I'm sure you know, like most others there's no paycheck for me and probably won't be for another year (assuming the company is still around by then). I'm not sharing that to get anyone to feel sorry for us, but to simply illustrate a point that we're a one income family right now, living paycheck to paycheck, with a very strict budget. That $20 came from our grocery budget and was not just one of the many dollar bills in my wallet. My wallet's empty most weeks. So, yes, to me that's "highway robbery" for sure -- paying someone who doesn't do their job properly and yet tries to pull a fast one over on people.
(To Be Continued...)
(...Continued)
Don't get me wrong, my tone and response here is not aimed at you, but more at the system and this particular Physician as there's a history of things like this. This is why I agree that the Health Care system needs to be fixed, but not overhauled as ambitiously as this administration wants (with items in the Bill that have nothing to do with improving Health Care, and everything to do with exerting more control over people).
I hope that all made sense. As always, thank you for sharing your perspective. I continue to pray that my wife and I will continue to learn how to properly balance God's role, our faith, and the role of doctors/medicine when health problems present themselves in the future.
It's like you hinted at without really coming out and saying it: Why spend so much money (why spend any money) on health insurance at all? Why not just learn to rely on medicines and remedies that God gave to us before pharmaceutical companies got involved? Why not just go to a doctor when you absolutely need to (like when surgery is needed)? Unfortunately, we're the products of a pill-popping (as in advil, motrin, tylenol, etc. used for EVERY little ache and pain) culture that is used to instant gratification, and even the most well-meaning Christians will be challenged to break free from that worldy system.
Lord, help us break free and come out of this world and learn to rely on You and Your ways more than we presently do.
Thanks Jamie. God bless.

I feel for you brother! the poor dumb masses of ignorant people around us are being eaten up by lucifer right in front of our eyes.
it is very hard to except and watch!!! especialy when it is a relative or a close friend!
remember GODS words, it is our job as remnant christians to warn people! but only JESUS CHRIST can save them!!!and it has to be a personal choice by each indivdual
to ask JESUS for his help!!!
alls we can do is pray that they awake from thier slumber, and see the truth when it is presented to them.
it is hard to watch, but we are here for a reason. and we must keep plugging along doing the work for CHRIST as his servents, we will be rewarded in the end!!!
GOD help the blind to see and the deaf to hear, time is short and they need your help FATHER!!!
if it is in your will, remove the vail so they can discern the truth from the fiction!!!!!!! amen

Dear JRed, Bless you for your thoughtful comments, and I did not mean to come across as confrontational. I too am a small business owner and have gone for many years without health insurance and now have a very high deductible, for emergencies, but a doctors visit is around $150 when I take my daughter for a check up, and thankfully we have been blessed in not having to go to the doctor for other things. My point was, mainly, that very many Americans have the mindset that when they have symptoms of illness, they want a quick fix, and often the fix is what bring us down the road to more illness in the future. Zpacks and other antibiotics cause great harm, over the long run, killing both good and bad bacteria, and causing the bad bacteria to mutate and become resistant, so more and stronger antibiotics will be necessary in the future. Milk, meat and so many other foods are loaded with antibiotics and when we go to the doctor with symptoms and expect a quick fix (to make matters worse, if a zpack is given when the patient has a virus, which it does not treat, it is killing off what good bacteria there are left in your system to fight off bad bacteria) we are doing our body balance harm. By populating our digestive tract with good bacteria, kefir, yougurt, raw milk... we are using the tools God gave our bodies to make them strong. I do understand your dear wife wanting to get to work and feel good, so please forgive me for being harsh, I just know you see the evils of falling in with the big Pharma agenda. God Bless and good health.
See, this is what I absolutely LOVE about the Body of Christ, and particularly about this fellowship of believers.
We're able to have a discussion -- like adults -- and not resort to name calling and/or harsh rebukes.
Jamie, there is no need for you to apologize although your willingness to do so says a lot about your character. Again, thank you , but it's not necessary. I'm glad we were able to both share a little more info, which consequently shows that we're pretty close to sharing the same thoughts on this subject.

That is so true and thank you for making that point. You know, one of the challenges I've had lately is trying to get my wife and family members to see that there are better alternatives than the ones they've grown so accustomed to over the years so I can identify with that for sure.
Anyway, thanks again and God bless.
