V Series Gets Some Suspicious Changes

I didn't plan on doing a write-up on this until the new show debuts in a few weeks, but a recent email sent out by Susan C rekindled my interest. Thanks Susan!

First, a good primer is the column from early August titled "Fall 2009: Mass Conditioning Curtain Call?", and Susan's response to it below:

Also, make sure you check out the trailer for the upcoming series "V" if you haven't seen it...Last night, the network was inundated with commercials for this new series. It is really being hyped. Now, why would the PTB want a series like "V" to come on other than the obvious reason of mass conditioning for a disclosure event? Look a little deeper at the message coming through in this series. The aliens are DECEPTIVE and come bringing peace, and doing healings. They are attractive and are lying. Ask yourselves WHY it would be portrayed this way, because it would seem that this is a good wake up call for people to not trust a scenario like this. It really goes back again to the good cop/bad cop (or good alien/bad alien) scenario. Look at how Obama is being portrayed, and look at series like "V". There will be a false peace and a false antichrist BEFORE the real one comes in with his own false peace which will be SOOO DECEPTIVE, even to the elect if it were possible. Obviously, this is just a theory of mine. But, I'm telling you -- all this only makes sense when you realize that the order out of chaos will come after a false sense of peace/NWO scenario. This may involve a disclosure event with "bad aliens" and "good aliens" -- ALL of which will be fallen angels...Just something to ponder with all this increase in UFO sitings, plus the increase from Hollywood with shows like this.

Precisely. At the very least, that's good food for thought especially on the heels of THIS and THIS. Still, I decided to do some quick research and came up with some additionally intriguing material on this new show V.

First, let's take a quick look at the trailer for the show:

Pretty intense, eh? Compelling juxtaposition too with the whole Balloon Boy Incident from yesterday as well as their publicly stated belief that humans were created by Aliens.

I search high and low for the two new trailers that appeared on ABC recently, but there nowhere to be found (yet). I desperately wanted to include them here because they're even more subversive than the above one (if you can believe that).

Basically, they depict a head shot of the "Alien" female leader in front of a bright white screen. It's a closeup shot and she addresses the viewer directly. The first promo I saw I caught on too late and didn't really catch the message, but the other one was of her addressing the American public and talking about "free Health Care for everyone" under their system, or the "right way" of doing things. Nothing symbolic or sinister in that, huh?

Anyway, you might also be interested to note a few other important details to recently emerge about this show that's scheduled to premiere on November 3, 2009 (a date that was moved way up from the original launch date). ABC has decided at the last minute to make a rather unusual change.

According to Entertainment Weekly, after rumors of an overhaul, V will get a shortened rollout. The network has surprisingly decided to air only 4 episodes of the drama; and then shelve it until March 2010. They say it's an attempt to clear the way for their coverage of the Winter Olympics even though there was no mention of this until just recently.

News of the show's unique debut comes amid rampant speculation that the high-concept series is undergoing a serious overhaul; it's widely believed that Warner Bros. Television shut down production for several weeks last month and made staff changes in the writers' room because ABC is worried the show could have limited appeal. Personally, that's seems odd to me because everywhere I turn (and everyone I've talked too; even those who don't necessarily believe in all the "Alien/UFO" stuff) this is clearly a highly anticipated reboot of a classic series.

Most interesting? One "rumor" making the rounds in the industry is that the V characters aren't even allowed to use the word Alien to describe the "Visitors" that arrive via spaceships! Ok, if that one's true, then it's yet another clear indication of what's really going on here and how far we've come. A network spokeswoman insisted that wasn't the case, but declined to comment further.

Still, any worries about the viability of Sci-Fi shows these days aren't warranted in my book even despite what the Ratings tells us about Fringe and Dollhouse because in a world experiencing chaotic times like we are, it's the Science Fiction that gives people an escape not to mention some valuable commentary about what's really going on. Besides, we now live in a DVR Age so I think those who still place so much emphasis on the Nielsen Ratings need to re-think their system of measurement. Every show I watch is viewed either a few hours or a few days later after I record it on my DVR so there you go.

Also, with only three weeks to go until the show's debut, ABC is releasing new promotional material. Earlier, I mentioned those two new commercials. Well, check out the newest poster, which features Morena Baccarin as "Anna", the leader of the Earth-invading Aliens. Written across her face is one of the Visitors' slogans: "We are of peace. Always."

Assuming nothing of earth-shattering, prophetic significance occurs between now and November 3rd, it will be worthwhile for us to tune in and see what's being sold to the masses. Given all these reported "changes" I wonder how close the series will be to it's original description:

She'll have to balance her covert activities with her job, and her role as a mother, fighting to protect her son Tyler even as he joins forces with the enemy. From executive producer Scott Peters, Emmy-nominated creator of The 4400, comes a bold re-imagining of the sci-fi classic. Let the invasion begin.

One final note. Scott Peters' previous series The 4400 is a must-see.

Not only does it evoke thoughts of the coming 144,000 witnesses, but the themes explored in that series are also a foreshadowing of what's to come here in the real world I think.
