Civil Disobedience; Peaceful Political Protest

Ah, another Election Day has passed here in the United States with both sides claiming "victory" one way or another.

It's one of the few times we Americans get to have a say as to who remains in office for listening to us, and who must go for ignoring us. Yet, sometimes the will of the people does not include common sense.

I failed to share this on Tuesday, but it reminded me of an email I received recently. In the likelihood that the elected official you want out of office somehow defied logic and got re-elected, I encourage you to perform the following coping mechanism:

START EACH DAY WITH A POSITIVE OUTLOOK IN THIS POLITICAL CLIMATE:

1. Create a new file in your computer

2. Name it 'Name of Elected Official'

3. Send it to the Recycle Bin

4. Empty the Recycle Bin

5. Your PC will ask you: 'Do you really want to get rid of 'Name of Elected Official?'

6. Firmly Click 'Yes'

7. Feel better? Good!

Tomorrow you can repeat the process with the same name or an entirely new one.
