Here's a quick thought.
In the last piece that was published, we revisited Maitreya and how his emergence or "Great Day of Declaration" may be close. We also documented how such a scenario is tied to the so-called "Full Disclosure" and "First Contact" movements by Share International's own admission of "UFOs" heralding Maitreya's appearance.
That got me thinking about Maitreya and his "Ascended Masters" that are supposed to accompany him when he makes himself known to the world.
Interesting to think about how these Ascended Masters have been likened to the "mighty men of old" that the Bible speaks of in Genesis 6:4. More to the point, fascinating to make the connection between those evil ones and the Ancient Greek/Roman gods.
Thus, I guess it's no surprise then that on the heels of "2009: The Year of the Alien/UFO Film" we seem to be entering "2010: The Year of the Mythological Hero And Villain" I'd say. Case in point, take a look at several prime examples from Hollywood beginning with what is guaranteed to be the last major, instant blockbuster of 2009:

Notice how none of these blockbusters films scheduled for release next year contain the traditional "Alien/UFO" thematic elements. Is that just a bizarre coincidence, or was it designed that way from the very beginning? Given what I believe about Hollywood's true function in this fallen world, I think you already know what I think about the whole thing.
Again, it's surreal to watch this process unfold before our very eyes courtesy of Hollywood. As successful as they've been in conditioning the masses to accept the Alien/UFO Meme, something tells me this new Mythological Meme will blow the previous one away at the precise moment Satan is scheming to orchestrate what he believes will be a checkmate against God, as he sets up his Antichrist and gets the world to fall at his feet in adoration.
That shouldn't be surprising at all to us students of prophecy who are watching God's Word unfold in the real world. Then again, that shouldn't be surprising even to those entrenched in nothing but the esoteric. Why? Well, because 2010 is the year of First Contact, remember?
I'm most intrigued by the Percy Jackson film. Check out this newest trailer that was just released and listen closely to some of the lines spoken by the actors and actresses:

Let me see:
"The children of these gods were half human, half gods..." (Nephilim?)
"The gods are real. They're not myths." (Ascended Masters?)
"2010...The Mythology...Begins!" (Well, there's confirmation!)
One of the fictional settings in the film is what's called "Camp Half Blood" (that's appropriate)
The story?
The protagonist is Percy (Perseus) Jackson who discovers that he is the son of Poseidon, god of the sea and earthquakes. He learns that the legendary beings of Greek mythology still and have always existed, including monsters, cyclopes, empousai, Titans, and also the Olympians (Greek gods) themselves who dwell in Olympus which is now situated at the mythical 600th floor of the Empire State Building. He is frequently attacked by monsters because he is a child of one of the "Big Three" (Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades). Percy meets many other young demigods, both friendly and hostile, who are also in the process of discovering their heritage and powers.
Yep, the next phase of the conditioning process will begin very soon.
Speaking of Maitreya, his October newsletter came out around 10/30 then his November newsletter is already out. Weird!!
From the newsletter:
Maitreya, meanwhile, waits patiently for the day on which His face may be seen by men. That day is not far off. Already arrangements are being made for His initial interview, the first of many such. Ya know, now something else makes sense. When I was browsing through Toys R Us online, I came across a set of toys about historical role-play of Roman Soldiers, complete with "leather" outwear and the shields and swords. I thought it was something odd, considering it has been years since a film about this period of history has been popular (thinking of the Russell Crowe movie, Gladiator).
And I do agree with you on the "conditioning process". First, get people to accept that there are aliens, then push the thought that the Greco/Roman myths were true all along and then tie them together in that anyone supernatural is actually a god and able to rule the planet and yourself, a mere human.
People are already conditioned to think of the Greco/Roman myth of love, being a feeling/emotion that is fickle, instead of remembering that not only is love a verb, an act of the will (lead your heart) the most important fact that God is love. Period. He is not fickle. If He is love, then love cannot be fickle. Yet, the world has bought into the pseudo-love that the enemy and hollywood has sold them through the years. All romantic trappings and heroic endings, not the pure loving sacrifice of day-to-day that you say I love my spouse, my family, my fellow man no matter what because God is my God and He is love. That doesn't mean that love is always roses and sunshine, in fact, it can be difficult because of the true sacrifice. The sacrifice the world has decided is not worth it and instead leave behind broken relationships of all kinds in pursuit of a lie they have bought into...
Much like the upcoming mythological scenario unfolding in Hollywood.
Sorry, just thought of that as it tied into the conditioning.
