Man Cries Out To God -- And He Answers!

I don't mean to insinuate by that title that I'm somehow surprised that God would answer prayer. I simply want to express my surprise that He answered prayer and it's all caught on film. At least, that's what this could be here.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of this. That is to say, I'm not sure if it's truly legit although I have no reason to suspect that it's not.

Maybe it's just the fact that I didn't expect to see something like this. I mean, it's not every day that you expect to see God perform a miracle by answering prayer and having the whole thing captured on film.

Take a look at this video I stumbled across by sheer dumb luck the other day. At its most basic level of analysis, it appears as though a man cries out to God ("Yahweh") for help and he is delivered against all odds! Amen!

Man Calls Out To God To Deliver Him

So, to recap, we have a man being pinned down by two police officers. We don't see what it was that led to him being pinned on the ground in the first place, and that's a pretty big omission. What we do see is that they appear to be attempting to arrest him for refusing to provide them with his ID. Apparently, there's a warrant out for his arrest.

The man tries to explain that his only "crime" is that he legally changed his name. Again, we're not sure why that matters or how that factors in to what's unfolding on camera. When the man asked the police why he was under arrest, one of the officers stated that "it didn't matter" which is absolutely insane.

The part that should matter to us the most as Christians living in these end times? The man not only conducts himself calmly in the face of what he believes to be a gross injustice, but he believed he would be saved from the wrath of the police by calling out to our God in Heaven!

What happened next? Aside from the fact that the two police officers inexplicably seem paralyzed by the man's words (I mean, what the heck!?! They just sit there and let him continue to speak for a really long time, which is one of the reasons I'm maybe a little suspicious about all of this), the man is tasered -- and yet the unthinkable happens! He is able to withstand the use of the taser, he stands up, and proceeds to somehow flee both officers!

Again, I'm not sure what to make of this video. However, if it's legit then this is an INCREDIBLY POWERFUL example -- caught on film -- of how we should respond in the face of tyranny during these end times.

Just think about it for a minute. For the past few weeks, we've been debating the appropriate Christian response when tyranny comes knocking on our door and threatening us and our loved ones. Although there doesn't appear to be an "easy" answer that sits well with everyone, many of us have expressed our belief that we need to rely entirely on God (because His ways are not our own; because He can provide a way out for us when one seems nonexistent) citing numerous examples throughout the Bible.

This man's determined spirit gave him the STRENGTH to appropriately, and non-violently resist what he saw as a unjust arrest. Furthermore, he audibly called out for help to our Heavenly Father and had the FAITH that he would be protected and delivered from harm. Then, as soon as he was tasered, he suddenly had the inexplicable strength to not only overcome the grasp of the two larger police officers, but to flee the scene entirely! And let's not forget about his wife either who also demonstrated the courage to capture this entire situation on camera. Her fearlessness and calm demeanor (no doubt rooted in her strong faith in God as well) allowed her to film a steady, clear view of EVERYTHING taking place and being said!

Doesn't this cause you to consider the genuine power of prayer let alone our God in Heaven? Do you think it's possible we can learn some extremely valuable insights from this video? I certainly do. Remember to remain calm, keep a clear head, and views things from a spiritual mindset as opposed to just an earthly one. In addition, we should remember to call on our Lord and Savior to aid us in a potentially dangerous situation like this one. At least that's what I took away from this.

Folks, the time is coming when we will be persecuted for our faith. I read the other day that 450 people day each day in this world due to their Christian faith. A majority of us have never been tested to stand firm in our faith, or to rest in Jesus Christ. This video clip is a reminder to all of us that we better prepare for the unimaginable now while we still can. Memorize Psalm 91.

So, what do we make of all this? As previously mentioned, at the most basic level of analysis, it appears as though an unjustly accused man cries out to God ("Yahweh") for help and he is delivered against all odds! Amen!

Yep, that definitely sounds like the God I know.

While I share your distrust of the police, this man is very likely psychotic. However, knowing how the police ware unequipped to deal with mental illness, and the strong likelihood that he would come to harm in custody, the best part is how he just disappears at the end.

First of all, you admit you have no idea what's going on here, but then you conclude he's unjustly being harrassed.( Even though they state they have a warrant for his arrest, which means he probably committed a crime, something you're strangely uninterested in.)
Second,you assume he's a Christian... why?
Just because he screamed Yahweh?
His non-stop rantings are more indicative of a mentally ill person or someone under the influence of drugs - perhaps PCP which would explain his "inexplicable strength" you admire.

Third, and most offensively, you compare him to the hundreds who die each day for their faith! What on earth does this video have to do with Christian perscution around the world? How dare you compare this nut with brave , faithful men and women who suffer for their love of Christ!

You have way too much time on your hands! You see what your fevered imagination wants to see (demonstrated here and many of your posts), not what's really there. How does this possibly contribute to the kingdom of God?

Should a Christian be impugning police officers with no knowledge that they've done anything wrong?

What did these officers do wrong?

Aren't Christians commanded to obey laws and those who enforce them?

Should Christian websites be promoting the idea that all cops are suspect?...and it's cool when we escape them?
Does disrespect for the law make for a better society?

It's easy to snipe at the police until you need them. And when you do, what happens? They answer your call. They risk their lives for you and you repay them by giving them the finger. Very Christian-like indeed!

Kat,

I'm not sure what caused this type of rebuke but thank you. I'll take all that you said under prayerful consideration.

I do have too much time on my hands lately. The by-product of a stagnant economy I suppose, and an urgency for the late hour we're living in.

My friend, I'm truly sorry that I have offended you by this post since it's obvious that I have struck a nerve somehow and for some reason.

Again, I'm sincerely sorry. It is never my intention to generate that type of response. I always try to get people to look at things and think "What if?" More on that in a moment.

Look, I'm not trying to foster any kind of ongoing debate with a fellow believer, but I did feel that I owed you a response and explanation after your comments so that's what this is all about.

I'd be more than happy to provide you with further insight if you desire it. Just shoot me a quick email at lookupluke2127 at yahoo.com and I'll be sure to get back to you.

Bottom line, I guess I thought that one of my earliest statements was enough to indicate where I was coming from in reporting on this:

"I'm not entirely sure what to make of this. That is to say, I'm not sure if it's truly legit although I have no reason to suspect that it's not."

In fact, I even repeated a similar statement later:

"Again, I'm not sure what to make of this video. However, if it's legit then this is an INCREDIBLY POWERFUL example -- caught on film -- of how we should respond in the face of tyranny during these end times."

I'd be happy to go into detail as to why I had SUSPICIONS that this COULD BE a legit case study. By setting up the "IF" foundation, and then assuming this MAY BE a legitimate case, I then proceeded to offer my perspective (which you're certainly entitled to disagree with) by saying "this is what we should take from it if true..."

Lastly, to your comments:

"Aren't Christians commanded to obey laws and those who enforce them? Should Christian websites be promoting the idea that all cops are suspect?...and it's cool when we escape them? Does disrespect for the law make for a better society? It's easy to snipe at the police until you need them. And when you do, what happens? They answer your call. They risk their lives for you and you repay them by giving them the finger. Very Christian-like indeed!"

Again, I'm not sure what caused this type of rebuke but thank you. I'll definitely take it under prayerful consideration. It's clear you're upset by this post, but I respectfully think it's a stretch to think any of the above charges are warranted.

Who's doing anything of the sort? Certainly, not me, am I? I mean, if I was interested in advancing that kind of behavior amongst Christians in response to authority figures would I have written the following?

"Do you think it's possible we can learn some extremely valuable insights from this video? I certainly do. Remember to remain calm, keep a clear head, and views things from a spiritual mindset as opposed to just an earthly one."

Kat, if I was the type of person you think I am, wouldn't I have suggested the complete opposite? To take an "earthly" mindset instead and encourage people to physically attack the police and/or fight back?

How is encouraging people to PRAY TO GOD FOR PROTECTION AND DELIVERANCE (even if they're not being mistreated) worse than the alternative, which would be to attack, fight, harm others? It's not. So I'm confused by your responses I'm afraid.

Kat there is something very wrong with the way you reacted to this post. You automatically assumed the police were right and the guy was crazy and/or on drugs. The truth is none of us know.

"What did these officers do wrong?"

The guy was asking why he was being arrested and he was told "it doesnt matter"

Of course it matters! You have a right to know why you are being arrested.

When people in powerful positions start to abuse that power, you need to start questioning things

Kat also in your second post you say:

"Aren't Christians commanded to obey laws and those who enforce them?"

This is obviously referring to Romans 13 which has been taken completely out of context (read this for some examples)

When the mark of the beast comes along, who do you think is going to enforce it? The law/authorities/global government!

Do you really think God wants us to obey those laws and the people that enforce them? Why do you think the bible mentions the saints being beheaded for refusing the mark? Maybe because they weren't obeying the authorities trying to enforce it.
