Britain Ends Alien/UFO Studies

Nick Pope has pointed out that after 50 years of accepting and investigating reports of UFOs, the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) has quietly made their exit from the controversial topic via this short note on their website:

The MOD has no opinion on the existence or otherwise of extra-terrestrial life. However, in over fifty years, no UFO report has revealed any evidence of a potential threat to the United Kingdom.

The MOD has no specific capability for identifying the nature of such sightings. There is no Defence benefit in such investigation and it would be an inappropriate use of defence resources. Furthermore, responding to reported UFO sightings diverts MOD resources from tasks that are relevant to Defence.

Accordingly, and in order to make best use of Defence resources, we have decided that from the 1 December 2009 the dedicated UFO hotline answer-phone service and e-mail address will be withdrawn. MOD will no longer respond to reported UFO sightings or investigate them. The ongoing programme to release Departmental files on UFO matters to the National Archive will continue.

In its time, the British MoD received approximately 12,000 UFO reports, of which around 5% remained unexplained. For the past couple of years they have been releasing their files to the
National Archives for the public to view.

One can only wonder if the salient quote from this latest development is: "However, in over fifty years, no UFO report has revealed any evidence of a potential threat to the United Kingdom."

Perhaps that's the reason for this shocking and unexpected announcement by a major European nation and its government -- to contribute to the 'Full Disclosure Meme' by concluding quite definitively that 'Aliens/ETs/UFOs' pose no threat whatsoever and should be welcomed by the world with open arms.

Man, even despite the 'non-event' of November 27th this is an issue that refuses to go away, huh?

Hey Jred,
Trying to pull this all together as I have been chasing my own rabbit trails, but I thought this was interesting.
Kissinger’s influence over U.S. foreign policy, however, dates from much earlier than the Vietnam War. His influence dates from experiences in Germany during World War II when he was part of the Army’s Counterintelligence Corps, and helped identify Nazi scientists familiar with advanced technologies of interest to the U.S. Some of the Nazi scientists retrieved in Operation Paperclip were directly involved in advanced technological projects that according to the father of modern rocketry, Hermann Oberth, had been assisted by knowledge of extraterrestrial life and technology. He said:

… we cannot take credit for our record advancement in certain scientific fields alone. We have been helped." When asked by whom, he replied, "the peoples of other worlds."

A disturbing condition for the disclosure of information about extraterrestrial life and technology under an Obama administration appears to be the development of a “New World Order”.
I think this New World Order will resemble Hitler's World Order.
What does the Bible say? Those who hate God, love death.

I finally watched the BBC series from this summer. Seems even more relevant than ever. My jaw still drops even today at some of the things they revealed.
