I've concluded that the more surreal and 'out there' our reality becomes, the harder it is to talk about it (what I see as being prophetically significant) seriously especially in a Christian forum like this. Gosh, any quick look at the Comments portion of each article will prove this sometimes!
Of course, I'm very grateful because a majority of you wouldn't be here regularly if you didn't seem to think that we were on to something, and that God -- as prophesied -- is no longer 'shutting up the words' or 'sealing the book' since this is now 'the time of the end' (Daniel 12:4).
Like Ultraguy from New Wineskins, when my day began I didn't plan on writing today either. You'll all be happy to know that at least this will be a short one. In fact, probably the shortest in months. That's my intention anyway. I'm still recovering from several late nights this week. Yes, unfortunately, even this handsome redhead needs his beauty sleep. All kidding aside, this should in no way be interpreted to mean that today's message isn't equally important.
As before, I need to stress to you all that it's not like I set out each day trying to find a story to write about from some Christian angle. I think I've tried to explain before how the stories seem to find me. I won't bore you again with all the messy details of how that process actually works for me, but I will reiterate what Ultraguy wrote a few days ago that I firmly stand behind:
Once a part of a headline/story has grabbed a hold of me I stay with it to see where it might lead. Often times, there are a handful of 'puzzle pieces' that emerge. Each puzzle piece is always an explicit reminder of something in humanity's prophesied future as told in the pages of the Holy Bible.
On their own, they're just curious tidbits of info that could be dismissed as 'seeing what you want to see', but it's when there are several of those puzzle pieces that keep showing up (and stemming from the same source); that the point when I start to pay close attention and finally decide to share my findings with you.
Why? Because that's when I conclude that there's no way there could be so many examples of 'seeing what you want to see' from one unexpected source if that's what this is like some people charge. There's just too much 'spiritual convergence' for that to be the case. I hope that helps. I'm sorry I can't explain it any better.
What truly solidifies my position on this is the fact that I have isolated myself from 99% of all the blogs and news sites I typically tend to visit on any given day. That's how I know that something 'spiritual' is going on here even if I can't fully explain or understand it. It's just far too personal for it to be anything else.
So, as before, here's the headline from today that sparked the following thoughts:
Manufacturer Recalls 447,000 Baby Car Seat Carriers
WASHINGTON – A baby product manufacturer recalled on Friday about 447,000 of its infant car seat carriers, including some branded with Eddie Bauer and Disney logos, after dozens of reports of the carrier's handle coming loose.
There have been at least three injuries to babies, including bumps, bruises and a head injury. Dorel Juvenile Group Inc., of Columbus, Ind., received 77 reports of the child restraint handle fully or partially coming off the products.
In announcing the recall, the government said consumers should immediately stop using the seat's carrying handle. The bolts that attach the handle to the seat can loosen, causing the handle to possibly separate and creating a fall hazard for babies.
My immediate thought was that the COMMON DENOMINATOR in almost every news item that kick-started a study like this (whether written by me or someone else) had to do with the automobile. Think about it for just a second...
Tiger Woods Saga - Car Accident
Chris Henry's Death - Car Accident
That got me thinking: What if we've all been getting too in-depth in our analysis? That's not to say that there aren't multiple layers of meaning to derive from all of this -- I believe that there are -- but what if the interpretation of these allegories/parables/symbolism is simple rather than multi-layered and complex?
Look, we know that divine judgment is about to fall upon this nation. I don't think you'd find too many true believers in Jesus Christ who would refute that claim. We also know that a big part of that judgment for our sins we be due to the heinous sin of abortion. I once read that the Civil War was God's way of punishing this nation for her sin of slavery. If that's true, then I can't even imagine the nature of His punishment upon this nation for her sin of legalized abortion.
The automobile more or less represents 'freedom', right? While we have been given free will to make our own decisions and to act as we please, Jesus admonishes us to receive His kingdom as 'little children'. I find the contrast between all this 'car crash' stuff and this truth quite compelling.
I mean, maybe the easy, surface interpretation in all of this is a subliminal message along the lines of: 'Hey! Yes, I gave you free will so that you could have freedom, but don't abuse that freedom by constantly making the wrong choices in life that only amounts to sin, which ultimately leads to death! Besides, I give you true freedom in my Son Jesus Christ if you;ll only accept Him into your life as Lord and Savior! Let Jesus take the wheel instead of insisting that you're in control when you're clearly not! Can't you see that you're only driving yourself along a path of destruction!?!'
That makes a lot of sense to me.
When I go back and read this latest news about a recall I get even more out of it. It's subliminal and even a crude analogy, yes, but it's almost like it's a commentary filled with metaphors about our relationship with Jesus Christ (the working parts) and what our life (as babies/infants) will be like without Him (injury and eventually death) if we don't fix things first (adhere to the recall by the manufacturer). Food for thought.
Now, in an attempt to emphasize what I mean by how one can look at the news and clearly see the fingerprints of our Lord Almighty on it all simply juxtapose everything that was just presented to this sobering warning from New Wineskins:
A cryptic quickie: Senator Ben Nelson (D, Nebraska), a “key holdout” vote on the health-care bill. The sticking point: abortion. The vote: Christmas Eve. (Imagine, just for an instant, Mary the un-wed pregnant teen being “counseled” at a Bethlehem abortion clinic.) An extremely rare and not-insignificant earthquake (M3.5)… last night… during prime time while folks would be sitting still, at home, able to feel it… in Nebraska.
Just for fun, I decided to perform a search on Google for the search string ("447,000" AND "Africa") since Africa was a HUGE focal point of yesterday's column. I should also mention that I wasn't expecting to find anything even remotely relevant to Christians studying end times prophecy even after our 'twilight zone' studies this past week.
Silly me. I should've known better.
Believe it or not, there is a connection between this specific number and Africa. Morocco is a country located in North Africa with a population of nearly 32 million and an area just under 447,000 square kilometres (173,000 sq mi).
No, it's not Cameroon or Ghana, which we looked at very closely in the last article, but still. Even the most skeptical reader has to admit that this is highly unexpected. Plus, this is happening just a single day after that Cameroon/Ghana/Africa post.
Again, let me be absolutely clear that I'm only working with what the 'Top News Headlines' of the day give me. That is to say that I'm only looking at whatever the top five or so major news headlines happen to be as listed at the time that I sign on to the Internet. I'm not sitting on the computer all day looking for any news story I can find that will help me make my case. For whatever reason, they just lately seem to always have something that stands out to me like a flashing neon sign on the Las Vegas Strip!
See, that's precisely why I continue to give this sort of phenomenon any of my attention and share such cases with all of you here because it's not a contrived process, but an entirely natural one where one thing always leads to another, and another, and so on and so forth.
Because I don't believe in mere coincidence I'll continue to attribute this sort of thing to the Holy Spirit until proven otherwise. If that bothers you I'm sorry, but as someone who ALWAYS strives to find meaning in mundane by filtering EVERYTHING in my day-to-day, moment-to-moment life through my Christian worldview that's not going to change anytime soon.
Ok, so where did the Holy Spirit lead me from here? Well, the first thing I noticed were the only two colors present on the Moroccan flag -- Red and Green. Have a look:

Clearly, this is yet another highly unlikely coincidence (if that's what you insist that this is) because those two colors were the focal point of that initial Tiger Woods-President Obama piece from Ultraguy that kicked things off! Therefore, I'm still going to attribute this not to 'coincidence' by to 'spiritual convergence' with some sort of yet-to-be-discovered divine design and purpose.
Here's the important part:
First, note the dominant color scheme: green, red, black and white. Those are the colors of the four horsemen in Revelation. Horse #2 (red) is war; Horse #4 (green, aka ‘pale’, aka “chloros”) is death. As noted previously, they are also the predominant colors on the flags of Islamic countries. The Bible refers to both the first (physical) death and the second (spiritual) death, the latter being the result of sin. Sin and death, in Revelation, i.e., in the end times, are represented by green.
Wow! The colors that symbolize 'war' and 'death' are the only two colors present on Morocco's flag and this is surely meant to underscore our previous assumptions.
That point about them being 'the predominant colors of the flags of Islamic countries' made me think of something else that's possibly prophetically relevant in a geo-political sense about Morocco.
Morocco is the only country in Africa that is not currently a member of the African Union and it has shown no interest in joining, due to other African nations recognizing Western Sahara as a sovereign state. However, it is a member of the Arab League, Arab Maghreb Union, Francophonie, Organisation of the Islamic Conference, Mediterranean Dialogue group, and Group of 77. It is also a major non-NATO ally of the United States.
That's the second time the number '77' has appeared in this post, which is equally important. The number '7' by itself represents spiritual perfection and fullness or completion. In Matthew 18:22 Simon Peter asks Jesus how many times he must forgive a bother who has sinned against him. Peter asks 'As many as seven times?' Jesus’ response is 'I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times', indicating not a literal 77 times but that Peter’s forgiveness is to be given without limit -- an abundance of forgiveness using the 'perfect' number 7 which represents both covenant and spiritual perfection. Also, Jesus was 77 generations from Adam.
But I got to thinking about a different approach to analyzing the presence of numbers like we have been. To be more specific, I think I've been doing things the wrong way and for that I'm sorry; Lord forgive me. Let me briefly explain.
The numbers that are part of Scripture should be interpreted as all other Scripture.A corollary can be stated: The numbers in Scripture are no different than any other part of Scripture. This means that the numbers of Scripture are part of the infallible Word of God. As such, the study of numbers in Scripture (sometimes referred to as 'Biblical Numerology') deserves as much attention to detail as the study of any other part of Scripture.
The numbers of Scripture must be accurately defined, and I fear that I've been going about things the wrong way up to this point. For instance, I think it is probably unacceptable to multiply a number by a factor or divide it in order to interpret it. Just as it is unacceptable to add to the Word or delete from it, it is not acceptable to add or subtract numbers to derive meaning.
The only exception as far as I can tell is when the calculations are themselves part of Scripture (as Judges 7:3 compared with 7:10). In the case of the Plagues of Egypt, the Scripture represents them in three groups of three. In that case, God revealed through the Scripture how He made the number. However, in a case where God does not reveal how He made the number, it would be arrogant for me to presume how or why it was made. I could be wrong, but this is a new line of thinking that I believe I was meant to finally 'get' once and for all.
The interpreter of numbers in Scripture (that would be a guy like me) has no right to add, subtract, multiply, and divide them in order to attach some arbitrary meaning. The Scripture is inerrant. To divide or multiply; add or subtract from the Word is probably akin to heresy. So, please bear with me as I attempt to learn from my mistakes and grow closer to God (closer to the Truth) as a result. My new principle that I hope will serve as a guideline especially in pieces like this? The meaning of a number is defined by the Scripture -- not by its factors.
Almost done. The numbers of Scripture have units. For example, 10 Commandments, 17 Lawlessness, and 9 Plagues. These units define the meaning of the number in the context. As with the words of a language, a number may have different meanings that vary around the root idea. Five is a number for grace, but when it is associated with a man, it becomes the number for a giant. Furthermore, it is improper to perform arithmetic calculations without considering the units. It is improper to add apples and oranges as any good math student knows.
Applying this Holy Spirit inspired discernment to the number 77, I think a typical heresy would be as follows: 7 is the 'perfect number' and, therefore, 77, is a 'good number', or 777 is a 'better number'. This is all wrong I think!
First, 7 is 'the completion of a category' -- not necessarily the 'perfect number'. The number 77 is defined by Scripture in reference to Lamech, the first polygamist in history. It is a number for turning away from the 'Right Woman' to go for a 'paramour'. Then, we find that the number 777 is the number of years that Lamech, the father of Noah, lived. After Lamech, the next generation would have to be delivered above the waters.
So, 77 more appropriately means something along the lines of 'I'll fly away', 'a tangent', or 'a radical change in course'. Again, this is because the meanings of all these numbers are derived from the context of Scriptural usage -- not extrabiblical presumption as I'm afraid I've been guilty of.
I was shocked to discover that there's actually a scholarly name given to this called 'Reversionism'. It's an act of reversing or turning in the opposite way, or a state of being so turned. As believers, we were designed to execute the plan of God, but in Reversionism we turn the other way and cannot be distinguished from our pre-salvation status. Reversionism is a reversal of priorities, attitudes, affections, the object of personal love accompanied by the destruction of impersonal love, and the change of modus operandi and personality. Inside the cosmic system there is a complete change of personality.
In a sense, is like 'backsliding', or might we call it 'a falling away' I wonder? In this paper by Pastor R. B. Thieme, Jr., Berachah Church, Houston, Texas :
Reversion is a technical theological term used for rejecting absolute truth, and drawing into your mind or accepting relative truth. Reversion is a technical theological term for the results of fragmentation. The process of reverting begins with implosion, or exploding within, by yielding to the temptations of the sin nature. Implosion leads to explosion or fragmentation. Fragmentation unchecked leads to reversionism.
Man, doesn't that just resonate with the entire Tiger Woods saga that kicked off this entire process? Even use of the words 'explosion' or 'fragmentation' by the Pastor in the above excerpt calls to mind the image of Tiger Woods on the cover of that 13-year-old Sports Illustrated feature story that started it all!

More spiritual convergence indeed. Seriously folks, I know it's tough to suspend belief for a moment and accept the fact that MAYBE (because remember that myself and others like me who write about these things are VERY CLEAR to admit that we accept that we could all be completely wrong in our collective analysis) there are spiritual, Christian, and prophetic messages contained in the real life drama that unfolds all around us. Maybe. At what point do we begin to acknowledge the improbable odds involved in this sort of stuff happening on a daily basis in very particular, very specific ways? That fact alone should force us to at least consider the possibilities.
Still don't believe any of this is possible or can't accept that God MIGHT be trying to speak to us through our idols? Let's revisit evidence to the contrary:
A cryptic quickie: Senator Ben Nelson (D, Nebraska), a “key holdout” vote on the health-care bill. The sticking point: abortion. The vote: Christmas Eve. (Imagine, just for an instant, Mary the un-wed pregnant teen being “counseled” at a Bethlehem abortion clinic.) An extremely rare and not-insignificant earthquake (M3.5)… last night… during prime time while folks would be sitting still, at home, able to feel it… in Nebraska.
That's a prime example of what this is all about, and why I continue to spend time on these types of commentaries.
A quick apology is in order. I just realized that this isn't as 'short' as I originally said it would be. My bad. What else? In the 'You've-Got-To-Be-Kidding-File' we have the fact that Morocco is the world's 3rd largest producer of Phosphorus (after China, which is 1st, and the United States which is 2nd). Phosphorus' atomic number is 15. Read what Bullinger had to say about that number.
Due to its high reactivity, Phosphorus is never found as a free element in nature on Earth. The first form of Phosphorus to be discovered (White Phosphorus, in 1669) emits a faint glow upon exposure to oxygen -- hence its name given from Greek mythology meaning "light-bearer" (in Latin, Lucifer), referring to the 'Morning Star', the planet Venus.
Naturally, I thought that was another unusual -- although perfectly appropriate -- find during the course of my research. This next one is even more ridiculous. Have you ever heard of what was called 'Phossy Jaw' back in the day? Phossy Jaw, formally 'Phosphorus Necrosis of the Jaw' was an occupational disease of those who worked with White Phosphorus, also known as Yellow Phosphorus, without proper safeguards. It was most commonly seen in workers in the Match Industry in the 19th and early 20th century.

After seeing those images and reading a description of how it 'infects' and 'curves' the jaw, how could I not think of what we're told about the coming Gog-Magog War and how it begins with 'hook into your jaws' in Ezekiel 38?
To reiterate, for those who have lost the ability to think critically, I'm not saying tha 'Phossy Jaw' is the fulfillment of the prophecy about the Gog-Magog War given to us in Ezekiel 38-39 (don't laugh; I know I'll get at least one email to that effect). I'm only pointing out how, for whatever reason, God's creation reminds us all of what's to come. How else do you explain how one story can contain so many 'puzzle pieces' that, when put together to form a bigger picture, all seem to echo where we already know we are (and already know where we're heading) on God's prophetic timeline? Also, it's not to say that any of this is on par with what we find in God's Word.
Here's another illustration of this point. The first phrase in Ezekiel 38:4 says, 'I will turn you about'. The Hebrew word for 'turn' is sub. Its basic meaning is 'to move in an opposite direction from that toward which one previously moved...turn around, turn.' In the context of Ezekiel 38, this use of an intensive form of sub (the polel stem) in relation to Gog does not refer to religious repentance, but rather to a change in one's plans.
How awesome is it that here we find another seamless connection with what we just looked at about the number 77 and what's called Reversionism? The interconnectedness of it all is evidence of a Divine author behind these allegories/parables/symbolisms, isn't it?
Other interesting notes of interest about Phosphorus is that it is a component of DNA, RNA, ATP, and also the Phospholipids, which form all cell membranes. It is thus an essential element for all living cells. The most important commercial use of Phosphorus-based chemicals is the production of fertilizers. Phosphorus compounds are also widely used in explosives, nerve agents, friction matches, fireworks, pesticides, toothpaste, and detergents.
By the way, White Phosphorus is also a weapon that has been used in the Middle East on several occasions. It burns quite fiercely and can set cloth, fuel, ammunition and other combustibles on fire. It also can function as an anti-personnel weapon with the compound capable of causing serious burns or death. The agent is used in bombs, artillery, and mortars, short-range missiles, which burst into burning flakes of phosphorus upon impact. Calls to mind David Wilkerson's prophecy about New York City.
What does it all mean? In a nutshell, that the Tribulation is closer than ever before. Hopefully, even though a presentation like this seems 'insane' on the surface it will ultimately remind you of your need to repent and seek His face without any further delay.
God has given us our freedom to go about our business long enough. What did we do with that freedom? Well, instead of using it to run to Him for comfort, fulfillment, and protection we used it to run away from Him; driving down any sinful desire and pleasure we could. Like the aforementioned tragedies demonstrate, God will not be mocked! If we refuse Him any longer it might be too late when our 'car' crashes in this life for the signs that the end times are here are all around us.

The colors remind me of this:
My daughter's Dream 2007(6 yrs old)
"Goliath came back to earth and came to my school. He was bigger than the school and was coming back to attack. He crashed the windows and walls and the kids started running around. Then two of God's angles came down. One of the angles put their hand on Goliath's forehead-then a green paper floated down from heaven and landed on top of his head. He kneeled down and I picked it up off of his head. The writing was written in red, black,& white marker. It said "Jehovah is coming back." Then I shouted it out loud "Jehovah is coming Back, Jehovah is coming Back."
