Can So Many People Be Wrong?

Whatever prophetic role that Maitreya ends up playing remains to be seen.

However, one thing that's certain is that the general consensus from those outside of the New Age's reach (whether explicitly Christian or not) seems to be that the guy is dangerous.

When it comes to Christians who are willing to study such things in an effort to warn people about who (what) might be coming the consensus is even clearer.

That begs the question: Can so many people be wrong?

Here's yet another clip from an interview with an independent researcher (who doesn't seem to be a Christian; talks about "fear" a lot) who has also reached many of the same conclusions that we have. However, before we get to that I have to mention how one connection keeps presenting itself again and again.

Here's a comment that one reader left after reading the "Maitreya Marketing 101" entry from yesterday that will tell you where this MIGHT BE heading:

Dear Jeff,
The one video about Maitreya shows a clip from the early 90's of a supposed appearance in Nairobi. Earlier this year Ultraguy had a big write up with pictures daring the readers to ask who does this resemble. And at close inspection it's obviously a young Obama. Then, we have another video with the silver piece that sais "Hope"??? What's up with all of this!?! I have known the Maitreya story for a long time. And I believe he's the Antichrist, but I really wonder, do you think maybe it is Obama??? I have never thought he was smart enough to pull that off. He is a good speaker, but not that good.

Rick Wiles Interviews Augusto Perez - Part 2

Stay tuned. There are several unexpected, but incredibly sound prophetic threads emerging that I'm curious to get your thoughts on.

I am VERY familiar with Rick Wiles, VERY much so. I was astonished to hear it said that Augusto Perez doesn't sound like a Christian. Perhaps one is just not familiar with him? And perhaps the subject matter at that moment didn't lend itself to his testimony of Christ? Both of these men put a lot on the line for the Lord!!!!! I was a little taken back when it was said he talked a lot about fear. I have a family member that has come to the point of torturing me because, with all the prophetic events over the years, I have used the phrase such as "I'm afraid this event will trigger (such and such)". I have painfully learned to say "I am concerned..." Maybe it is my lack of vocabulary (actually I have a well above average vocabulary,) that would cause me to use the phrase "I'm afraid..." People often say use that phrase and it could be that it is an incorrect usage of the world but I have never thought it meant they are fearful - as in terrified and without hope Anyway I find it petty when that somewhat intentional misunderstanding takes place. YIKES - I guess that one hit a nerve - sorry for the rant.

Now on to a more informational comment… I was at Bible study Friday night and I mentioned Maitreya, whom I have studied for over 25 years. No one knew about him except for pastor! I was so surprised. Maybe it is because I am one of the older people in the group that I am familiar with Maitreya. Our group intensely studies Bible prophecy and the current events that mark the tribulation period. We just finished a year long study of Revelation, just to give an idea of the maturity and dedication of the group.

Actually I was wondering why you were going into such details regarding a “person” that I was so very familiar with but I found out not many are aware of him. Okay - now that could be a tad bit FRIGHTENING to think so many people don’t know to beware of this type of anti-christ manifestation.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist the last sentence. I hope you can bare with my silly attempt at humor :-)
Please keep up the good work. Your research is awesome. I’m not always on exactly the same page with you but we are so close. Your fruit and your spirit witness to me that you are a precious brother in the Lord. I trust the Lord to unite us and bring us all into a full understanding of Him and His Word in preparation for being His witness in the dark days ahead. -- Blessings, Beth

Philippians 3:15-16 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.

Beth,

An excellent, thoughtful response -- thank you.

You know, it's funny you mentioned my decision to comment on these men (who I had never heard of before; you were right) and my inability to discern in just a few minutes through these clips what their religious beliefs were.

Why? Because my decision to do so was simply a knee-jerk reaction to not only the "newbies" who visit this site, but to the "hardliners" too. You know, the ones who rip me to shreads for not thinking of people like them by not offering certain "disclaimers" to prepare them ahead of time. Can you tell they've had somewhat of an impact on me?

My sincere apologies then to Wiles and Perez. Meant no disrespect.

So, I admit that I'm guilty of succumbing to the wants of the people that God leads here because I was AFRAID (my turn to try to be funny and laugh at myself! HA) of having to work my way through multiple emails charging me with not properly filtering things before writing about it and sharing it with them and others.

What irony! I went to the opposite extreme inadvertently and ended up doing what I initially set out to prevent.

Thanks again Beth.

God Bless,
Jeff (JRed)

JRED, please check this out.

Art linked to this. Dr. Joe VanKoevering's presentation on the "Man of Sin and the "Maitreya"

If you have not seen this you should stop posting on this subject until you do. Very strong presentation.

Augusto Perez has a website @ "The Appearance". http://www.theappearance.com/

I don't think that English is necessarily Augusto's first/native language. Sometimes we use words without understanding how they are interpreted by others. We can be "afraid" of how things might turn out, but not fearful, because we know it is God's will no matter what happens. Does that make sense?

Still trying to find that interview. No such luck yet.

Okay this is spooky. Even for me. In my research for this guy I came up with a very interesting guy. I actually found him rather quickly yesterday and discounted him at first glance. But now, I am not so sure. He is from London and became US citizen...just this month. He gave an interview on US television 5 days ago...on the economy and has a write up in the LA Times on "his" new economy. (The TV interview was on Colbert, not very impressive though, which is why I discounted him at first until I read his bio and more). His name is Raj Patel.

He has worked for the World Bank and WTO. Born in London, Patel received a B.A in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, from Oxford, a Masters Degree from the London School of Economics and gained his PhD in Development Sociology from Cornell University in 2002. He has been a visiting scholar at Yale and the University of California, Berkeley. As part of his academic training, Patel worked at the World Bank, World Trade Organization and the United Nations.

In 2008 he was asked to testify on the global food crisis before the House Financial Services Committee in the USA. He is regularly interviewed on the BBC, NBC, Al Jazeera, NPR etc.

How's the hair on the back of your neck right now?

Just noticed too that the clips you show were posted in Jan of 09. I say this so no one thinks these are very recent vids.

You know, the Lord always amazes me and I have to say this particular set of videos showed me anew just how awesome He is.

Matthew 25 - Christ warns the disciples (and all of us) about the end of days. Most everyone here is familiar with this chapter.

In verse 26 Christ mentions two specific places when he talks about false messiahs (telling the disciples not to believe it is Him returned).

'Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not" (KJV)

It stood out to me this time because during the clip (can't remember if it was first or second) there were several passages regarding end times on the screen during the interview. When this particular verse appeared it was when they were speaking about Nairobi (Kenya) and how this guy has been in the secret meetings with world leaders and movers and shakers.

Rick could have done that intentionally, and maybe everyone else caught it. But I find it a wonderful God-moment that the two exact places Christ warns us about are the two "areas" where we have been told this man has been seen.

If this guy is the one that the world lifts up as the false prophet or the anti-Christ, well, I hope that we can use this to help hearts see the Truth. To see that Jesus Christ, Immanuel, is the only true Christ!

Another reason that Raj Patel seems like a likely candidate is the quote he used for his book The Value of Nothing came from
Oscar Wilde, who was a Theosophist.

http://www.theosophical-society.org.uk/html/history.htm

Share International has exalted Theosophy and it's founder recently and recently wrote that H.P. Blavastsky, founder of Theosophy, was as great as Jesus.

http://www.share-international.org/magazine/old_issues/2009/2009-10.htm

We also know that H.P. Blavastsky wrote that "Satan is the God, and the only God of this world in the "Secret Doctrine."

Also from "The Secret Doctrine"

For the most learned, if not the greatest of modern Kabalists, namely Eliphas Levi, describes Satan in the following glowing terms: -- "It is that Angel who was proud enough to believe himself God; brave enough to buy his independence at the price of eternal suffering and torture;

Another clue.

Speaking of Raj Patel, I just happened to notice he was wearing an "Azure Blue" shirt during one of the two interviews being hyped on the Internet (I believe it was the Democracy Now! interview online). Interesting times indeed! Keep looking up!
