Do You See What I See? Revelation? Reproof?

Lately, I've been noticing a very distinct change within the Body of Christ and especially within the fellowship of believers that visit this forum. Simply put, people are either 'seeing it' or they're 'not seeing it' at all. Regardless of whichever camp you reside in most often, that's not the point. I just wanted to note this observation.

As one reader commented recently: "What I find very interesting is how people are either seeing it or absolutely NOT seeing it. This is very disheartening and I see this every day with family members/co-workers and I can only say and keep speaking the TRUTH and pray for eyes to be opened. Only God can open their eyes. It makes me think of what was happening before the Holocaust and I can imagine the same scenario as above -- either people saw what was coming or they believed all the lies."

Now, I have a feeling that this individual was talking about Bible prophecy in general given the subject matter of the post where they commented. Yet, I would apply this same truth to the types of "spiritual convergence studies" looked at here and other places during the past month or so.

Maybe it's because I've been receiving more and more of one particular kind of comment and email lately, but whatever it is it's definitely noticeable.

Lately, the tone of the types of comments and emails I've been getting (regardless of the article that's published) is generally along the lines of how I need "to take it down a notch", "take a deep breath", "step back", or "get a grip". You know, the usual for a Christian ministry of any kind.

However, what's a little unsettling is how these comments are almost ENTIRELY coming from other Christians and not unbelievers or skeptics like in the past. This is truly a first.

I will admit that I'm not sure how to respond at first. I mean, I understand the need to listen to wise counsel especially as it's received from other brothers and sisters in Christ, and I also understand the role that constructive criticism has in any discussion. That's fine. The Word of God is crystal clear on such things:

Proverbs 1:23 (KJV) Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Proverbs 3:11 (KJV) My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

Proverbs 10:17 (KJV) He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

Proverbs 12:1 (KJV) Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

Proverbs 15:10 (KJV) Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

Proverbs 15:31 (KJV) The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.

Proverbs 15:32 (KJV) He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

Proverbs 17:10 (KJV) A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.

What's bizarre to me is how the sentiments expressed most often within these comments is one that charges me with being guilty of "fear mongering" or one that insinuates that I've somehow come "unhinged" to even be writing about such things let alone making some of the assertions that I do.

Worse are the comments that suggest I don't love my Lord and Savior and/or His Word as found in the Holy Bible. I recognize that everything is fair game to our common enemy, but that always breaks my heart.

Again, nothing new to a Christian or to this blog. Yet, the BIG DIFFERENCE is that this is coming from other Christians. I understand and accept that I'm on the front lines of a spiritual war just like all of you are. That's fine by me. I welcome it. I say, BRING IT ON!

I guess I'm just a little confused. I'm confused because I don't think I'm being "alarmist" here at all (which some have charged me with). Am I? Everything that I write about -- including any conclusions I make -- always contain the evidence to back them up so that people can independently verify them on their own.

In addition, any speculations or liberties that I take in writing my final assumptions are always labelled as such so as not to confuse a first-time reader (or someone new to their faith) into thinking that my assumptions (educated guesses based on the evidence that's presented) are anything by my assumptions; they're most certainly not the Word of God or even "a word from God".
They're just an attempt to get at the truth of a matter so that I can share what is found.

I'm also not demonstrating a spirit of anxiety and/or fear, or even instigating one. Am I? Good Lord, I hope not! I mean, I tirelessly go out of my way to communicate to readers that if they feel any twinge of fear based on what I write then they need to take that to Jesus Christ in prayer, ask for forgiveness, and then ask for His deliverance, protection, and rest from any fear.

Like I said, I'm extremely confused at the moment. All I wanted to do was merely point out the IMPROBABLE nature of several items in the news that defy the expectation of coincidence. In addition, this forum has always been about taking the questions and thoughts that I have and seeing how God might be involved with them in a very real, and very personal way.

In closing, I just want to say thank you to everyone who faithfully visits, reads closely, comments, emails, prays, and supports and encourages me. I'm doing all of this for the Lord and for all of you as well. I'm grateful that He has gotten my attention and spoken to me through some of you when I just wasn't grasping the other ways He was trying to wake me up.

As I look out at the year that's before us, I must admit that I feel a stirring in my soul that something's about to change. Whether it's a change in my relationship with Jesus Christ for the better, a change in my personal life, or a change in the way we all do things around here at LUF (Look Up Fellowship since some of you have asked what "LUF" is) remains to be seen.

That's why there's been a virtual flood of articles published here over the last 24 hours or so. They represent all the leads I've been working on for weeks. I just feel like I gotta get them out out there in Cyberspace ASAP and "clean house" in a sense. Sorry about that as I'm sure it's a little overwhelming (and annoying too).

I hope that you will stick around and wait for the answers so that we can continue our journey together while waiting for our Blessed Savior to return for us.

Thank you! God bless you!

I don't comment much, but just wanted to let you know that LUF is one site I visit twice daily.

I've loved this site since I first found it, and don't want to miss anything!

I only want to encourage you my dear brother in the Lord. Please do not listen to voices of those who seek to control the message or
signs the Lord is giving you. Listen to God and do not become
distracted. There will always be
those that love the world and the things of the world. Even Peter tried to distract Jesus, but He
rebuked him. The Prophets didn't have many 'friends' as I recall.
There will always be murmuring and complaining going on among the believers, just as it did with the children of Israel. Just keep your focus on Him and stay faithful to Him!

I can't tell you how many times I
have been strenghtened, encouraged and reassured by your messages. I thank God for you and others that are out there with the same understandings and seeing and hearing the same signs and occurances. I don't feel so alone.
May God continue to lift you up to be a light to men in darkness for such a time as this.

How do I say this without making all Christians angry, but I have found that "truth" is not very palatable right now. It is overwhelming to most. Even when truth is put right in our face - most Christians are turning and running. I have to admit that what is starting to come at us right now is frightening to anyone. Rather than state "this is too frightening," the direction taken is that the person bringing truth to the table is said to be "delusional - crazy - somehow off balance." The "narrow road" is growing more narrow each and every day.

Don't stop - because so few are willing to bring the whole truth to the table.

I think this is an awesome site. I can feel the passion in your writing each time I read another article. I truly feel that the Lord guides you in your writing. Everyone may have there own opinions on issues but as a Christian myself, every article I read has just strengthened my beliefs and made me felt closer to the ways of the Lord. You need to continue what you have been doing for it is a calling from the Lord.

Isn't it ironic that those of us who can see (although it is as through a mirror darkly)what is coming seem to get the greatest opposition, not from the world, but from fellow believers?

Hey Jeff.. I love your website. Things that I don't catch you do it for me. I don't think you are a fear monger. My life keeps going on, despite all the conflict that is going on in the world. I'm not hiding out, waiting in a physical sense. I am waiting patiently. So I get it. And people that don't see it, or don't want to see it, remind me of Lot's wife. She knew how horrible the life in Sodom was, but she didn't want to leave it. Sounds like alot of Christians.. They love the Lord, but the life they lead for some reason it seems more important.. I may be speaking out of turn, but I get this same reaction from my fellow family Christians.. I'm looking for something that isn't really there..

If people are getting it or not...that is their choice. I find your site so very helpful...because of your gift of discernment of signs of the time...I have a hard time expressing my self...I don't have the words...but I can serve in other ways...BUT I need Godly information and that is your part in the body of Christ...and if you are perscuted and hated for what you do then you are doing exactly what Christ is asking of you!
God keep you safe and well brother Jeffrey.

It seem that it times of trouble a lot people will try to ignore the problem and maybe it will go away. The 3 stages thing come to mind, "denial, anger and acceptance". We are seeing this I think?? I have been coming here for a while and enjoy your posts and the comments by others. Though sometimes I have to admit you loose me, but often times you give a perspective that makes me see things in a different light. I do not feel we all have to agree on everything, no fun in that :-). However, there are respectful ways to discuss varied opinions.
Jeff, Jeremiah wasnt' received very well we he delivered GOD's message either. Thank you for being truthful in all that you say and for being bold and brave enough
to put yourself out here.
Thank You Again! May GOD Bless You and continue to give you insight on the current landscape of developments.

I don't care if "fellow christians" get angry or frightened...I agree whole heartedly with all the previous comments. If my "fellow christians" don't want to be included in the "falling away" they need to have their attention grabbed and YES even be scared!

Preach it brother. I've been battleing the same thoughts too. Close ones are incredulous to believe the these articles I tell them about, and have been telling me to focus on the bible more. I'm like this stuff are things that are happening in our world that that the bible predicted. I have a almost a complusion to this information. I can't wait to check a list of websites daily to see what is prophetly happening in the world. I've prayed and prayed about it, and I think God has put this in my heart. Why, I don't know. There was a point when I decided to stop all my reading on the type of articles. I noticed more trouble in my life. What came to mind is the good ol' Jonah and the whale story. So I started reading it again, and crazily enough (not really) this fell back into place. Following Gods will in your life is very important. Bottom line, Maybe it is some kind of covering of the eyes or something that's moving fellow christians and there attitude towards this. I don't know. All I can say is keep it coming. I love it. Amen

P.S. Have you seen anything about Blue Beam? try google if not.......

Thanks for the great job.. God bless you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeff, I could be wrong, but my opinion is that your site is growing in popularity and the negative comments are from newer readers. When I first started checking out your site, I disagreed with your stance on the pre-tribulation rapture and I wrote a few letters to tell you that I did not believe you were correct. But as time passed, my views have changed and I am pretty sure that you are correct. Today I asked the Lord for the first time to make me ready for the day He returns so that I don't miss the rapture. Give these newbies time to digest what you have to say. Keep loving them and pray for them to understand what the Lord is giving you. It takes time since many Christians do not hear these messages in their congregations, where pastors very rarely speak about eschatology.

I think that you are on the mark - because when you are close to the will of God there is always going to be stronger persecution and barriers to overcome. Regardless of the form it comes in.
Unfortunately there are lines being drawn just as most of the comments have stated here, between believers. They are seeing it or they are not.

We must preach the truth anyway. Hopefully Rob is right and its a newbie thing for the most part. But I see it not just on this site but in all places I go. Believers are agreeing that the endtimes are here or they are scoffing and tell you to do something like "get serious" or "stop believing everything you read and hear on the internet" as a family member told me once.

Prayer is our strongest weapon against the enemy! Pray for eyes to be opened when we speak what the Lord gives to us to share. The Gospel is their only hope!

Keep going J. Dont quit, its too close to the end!!!

If I were out in a field near a jungle, and a lion was hiding in the bush ready to pounce, I would want someone to tell me, to know the truth of the situation. I guess there are some people who would rather walk along blissfully ignorant of the state of danger they are in.
THANK YOU, JRed, for informing us of all you see. I think some people are like the ostrich, thinking if they don't see it, they don't have to be afraid. I pray that God will get their heads out of the sand, so they can see what is coming, and at the same time, see our Lord who can save them from it, if they will only turn to HIM.

Mr. Jred,

To say you are sending out a message of fear and that you should "take it down a notch" is ridiculous! All anyone has to do is look at what's going on in the world, (I mean, it's been an earthquake almost everyday this year!) and you can see that times are becoming dire and you are doing God's work in trying to warn us and help us understand what's happening. I honestly don't believe everyone who comments negatively are Christians, just those who are pretending to be so that you will start questioning whether your doing the right thing. You are doing the right thing, you are doing what God wants of you and I for one am thankful and relieved that you are.

Your Sister in Christ, Leesa

Jeff, The ones on the front of the lines are always the bloodiest. Don't let ANYTHING deter you from God's will & direction. There's always going to be those who will NEVER get it, no matter what. That is not YOUR job though. That is the job of the Holy Spirit. Just like we can never personally save someone. All we can do is plant the seeds and God by using the Holy Spirit does the rest.

Anon said: "How do I say this without making all Christians angry, but I have found that "truth" is not very palatable right now."

The truth that Jesus taught was not well accepted in His day either!! Christians should never be offended by Truth.

Keep up the good work brother. You have my number if you need some encouragement!!

BTW, we are not given a spirit of fear!! It doesn't mean we shouldn't be alarmed, but we MUST remember who is ultimately in control. It is ALL in God's hands and according to His will. As our friend at New Wineskins said, there are no exceptions for ALL.

Rom 8:15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."
