What We're Praying/Talking About

Our faith in action, or our small contribution in trying to apply what we're taught in Hebrews 5-6 and James 2:17-26 for the benefit of our dear brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ...

The Right's Pastor Wright?

How can the assertions we made about the coming prophesied Christian persecution under the umbrella of a New World Order continue to fall on deaf ears when we continue to find new evidence in support of such views?

Case in point, although this whole drama unfolding with Pastor David James Manning is reminiscent of the Jeremiah Wright scandal that haunted President Barack Obama during his campaign to become the President (in the sense that it could haunt true believers in Christ and those who stand in opposition to President Obama's brand of America), what makes it different is that I see it as planting the seeds of hate that will one day grow into that sentiment that will get people to stand behind the Antichrist when he decides to purge the planet of anyone who's a professing Christian.

In case you're new to the name and the individual, he's basically the Right's version of Jeremiah Wright although not as controversial. Actually, please allow me to clarify. He's considered "controversial" because he speaks the truth. In this "Age of Deception", speaking the truth is always an act of controversy. What I meant was that he's not controversial in the sense that he doesn't take the Lord's name in vain (amongst other things that Reverend Jeremiah Wright did), which is the appropriate behavior for a Man of God.

Even so, that doesn't mean he avoids inflammatory comments. Far from it! But I think it's extremely courageous how he calls out the double standards that exist in pop culture, politics, and religion these days. Plus, he has no problem talking about end times Bible prophecy in a formal television interview, or of ascribing such prophecy to Obama's presidency.

Here's a good introduction of the man and his message (and why he's gaining popularity):

Pastor Manning: "Obama's Pure, Unadulterated Evil - January 10, 2010"
(NOTE: A great interview! A lot of truth spoken here!)

While I agree with many of his sentiments and identify with the passion he exhibits, there's just something about him and all of this that rubs me the wrong way (not a lot, but slightly) and I can't quite seem to put my finger on it just yet. I don't know if that's because my Spirit can sense where this is all going to lead and how it's going to ultimately impact the Body of Christ here in America, or because I distrust him on a gut level (which makes no sense either really).

And it's not like this sort of thing (religious church leaders becoming the voice of the people by standing up to the government and those in positions of power) is unprecedented either. In fact, I just watched an excellent movie based on a true story called Changeling, and it portrays how Reverend Gustav Briegleb (John Malkovich) publicizes the main character's plight and rails against the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for its incompetence, corruption, and the extrajudicial punishment meted out by its "Gun Squad". I get all of that. I'm just left wondering.

Here's a quick question. I'm not casting judgment or trying to imply that I'm leaning one way or another, but I just want to ask the questions. First Amendment rights aside (of which I'm obviously a HUGE proponent of), isn't a Pastor held to a higher standard than the rest of us? If so, then is his approach the "right" one or the "wrong" one given the world we're living in today? Furthermore, is he a sincere Man of God or is he more akin to guys like Hal Turner whose only role is to foment rebellion in this country in an effort to help bring about the Satanic "Order Out of Chaos" environment?

I began asking myself those questions not only after hearing some of the things he had to say, but mainly after learning of a developing situation between this man and the U.S. federal government. Here's the video that prompted me to explore this man and his particular case:

Pastor Manning Visited By CIA; Expects To Be Arrested

Obviously, he hasn't been arrested like he thought he would be. Does that change anything here though? What do we make of all of this?

I will say that if he does eventually get arrested that it could very well stoke the flames of anger and resentment from Christians towards the Obama Administration more so than they already are. Likewise, it will definitely make me think that he is more along the lines of a guy like Hal Turner because the circumstances would then just about mirror each other.

I don't have much more to add to this story other than to say that I think it bears watching. More importantly, we need to pray for wisdom and discernment here for this could be another elaborate deception designed to bring us that much closer to chaos in the streets (to open rebellion), or it could be a legitimate threat against the Body of Christ and the beginning of a new phase of war against Christianity in this nation the likes of which we've never seen before.

Being held to a higher standard seems a given. The question is: held to a higher standard by whom?

Different denominations would answer that very differently, but the thing they can all agree on is that God Himself holds them (and all of us) accountable. Since pastors, teachers (and for that matter, bloggers) have more influence, James 3:1-2a seems highly relevant here (and also quite convicting for those boo-boos I've made that 100's or even 1000's of people read). It says:

"Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways."

I'm a bit frustrated at the moment because I used to know this verse by heart and now cannot even locate it, but in it, Christ warns those who cause the children to essentially stumble in their faith.

I believe this applies not only to the physical, but also the spiritual. Combine that with the verse from newine above and you have your answer for being held to a higher power (the Lord).

Pastors and teachers are often the main influence of those who are new or still young in their walk. They have an awesome responsibility and I pray for those under those teachers who are not following the path of God.

It could just be me, but something felt "off" as I watched that first video and I was immediately reminded of some verses I had recently read in Proverbs...

(6:16-19)
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

I cannot say why those verses were called to mind after listening, but they were.

BTW, the second video has been removed by poster.

I can put my finger of judgment on it...and I stated it publicly yesterday on facebook.
I called pastor manning live on his show recently first to compliment him on standing, challenging and speaking the Truth regarding Obama. Then I called him live and emailed him regarding his public approval to showing "Christian solidarity over celebrating Xmas!" which is really an old old stumbling block for all Israel the bowing down to and serving of idols like asherah pillars and trees! Winter sol stice time of year to celebrate the birth of Christ is such a lie. Celebrating the movement of the Sun who is like a covering cherub if you ask me who has left his first estate as a caretaker only and put himself in place of the Creator and men keep bowing down to this illuminati system of slavery drawing all men as a counterfeit usurper of the reverance and worship due the real King...
So pastor manning is gonna conduct court in front of Columbia U...check out his recent video about that...well well well and get a lot of publicity for his 2012 elect movement giving people hope in a Govt solution and deliverance...a faulty foundation like sinking sand. judges are indeed being raised up ...but the case pastor manning is prosecuting is already public knowledge and we already know Obama is a criminal along with the rest of the cartels making their end of the age plans..so what kind of a judge is he if he remains deaf, dumb and blind refusing to look at all the evidence about WASHINGTON and the revelation that he is sitting on the throne as king of heaven and Earth at the Capitol?

I think Pastor Manning is speaking the truth...I happen to think his forthrightness in sharing what he believes is refreshing! That said, I think some people may not be comfortable with his manner of speaking, not with what he is saying. Most of us have probably been saying and thinking the same things, just not with that degree of "in-your-face"-ness.

I've got to give the man credit where credit is due...he is unafraid of what man can do to him, and isn't that what being a Christian is about? We must stand against evil, not shove it under the rug. I pray I have the same fearless attitude when confronted with evil.

Knowing what i know about how much control is perpetrated in the world by satan's physical kindom on earth, i find it unusual that a "Christian" pastor would receive the amount of attention that he has... especially when it's regarding the President, whether he's against him or not.

There's certainly something sinister going on here and i'm sure you can all feel it in your decerning hearts.

The end justifies the means; i'm just afraid it'll get to the end before we are sure to know the truth behind this. The end result possibly being a developing public spectacle followed by a negative view towards True Christian believers!

Thanks for bringing this up Jred, good work!

God Bless

If you look at the mission statement on the 2012 elect movement he is recruiting people to "sign" onto it is stated something about agreeing not to disrepect the government...Washington's Govt has been revealed for who and what he represents as the son of perdition so the need for all Israel to turn in repentance and clear seeing from the healing of their spiritual eyes of understanding and come out and separate so as not to partake of the plagues...
mixing the Truth with the profane is not a new tactic and we must all guard our faith so as not to stumble...2012 elect will not save us nor any candidate especially built upon the faulty foundation of Washington...It is the glory of kings to look into a matter...is it not and the reason counsellors and judgs have been raised up who will teach the difference between the holy and the profane as truth is cast down practicing and prospering for a time? Check it out if you are hoping to be counted among those who will rule and reign...

Very strange indeed as a friend in Australia sent me a link to this guy on 1-6-10.I had never heard of him, and then just now I read this post and I thought to myself " no ,it couldn't be that guy that C. sent me the link on..." ... but yeah, it's the same man ! She is usually right on in her observations, however, I was sorely disappointed upon viewing his website. This guy grieved me from the moment I saw him. I did not even want to listen/read too much. So there you have it. Can't quite put my finger on it... just not right.Trust your discernment b/c it is being turned way up for a purpose. It's OK ~ we need only obey the promptings of the Spirit and if He wants to explain it to us He will....if not , just let it go. Obedience IS better than sacrifice !
