This is an exciting post! I just got back from a weekend retreat with three other women I work with. We do not live close to each other so we use a conference call line to hold our weekly Bible study. The fact that we were meeting in person was very special!! I was lead to mention that I strongly felt we needed to focus some studies on Faith, Patience and Endurance. Yes, there is a strong leading of the Spirit to focus on endurance these days!!! -- Beth

My problem with the blog on "Endurance" is the focus placed on the word "few". How literally do we want to take that translation? If we take it all the way, well then only 3 souls are counted worthy to escape. I understand the position taken, maybe if there are 8 billion people on the earth and 2 billion believe upon the name of Jesus at the time of the end, that would be considered a "few"... Just a thought, I am the last one to play like I know the answer. Maybe that's why it's a mystery that requires faith.

Either way if we err on the side of caution and common sense, we will be ready for either scenario.

I believe I can do it...funny thing is, I believed I could do it before I'd even heard of this race. This is one of my favorite bible passages. Thank you, JRed, for being here and letting our wonderful Lord use you to make this post today. It is exactly what I needed to hear. I woke up this morning and felt tired to my very soul. So many family members unsaved and not willing to listen, one family member seems to be under some kind of spiritual attack, the entire world seems to be spinning out of control, financial problems have almost flattened us, and even my cat has developed some kind of terrible sickness. I was so tired and ready to give up. And then I read your post, and about the "pacer", and now I am now I am praising the Lord, refreshed with renewed strength, and counting my blessings as I am able to continue on. Thank you! something to note as a non biblical side note: 45 degrees runs through the North part of Yellowstone. Anyone recall the sky will burn at 45 degrees quatrain?

@john: Just one thought. You sound just as certain in your arrogance that a rapture is science fiction as those you accuse of lacking faith for their belief in a rapture. I dont agree that those of us who believe the rapture is a viable subject have fallen away in our faith.

I find a balance between the pre trib rapture doctrine and my faith in Jesus. One of us is wrong, but we're both saved as long as we stand on the immovable truth of Jesus.

JRed- I understand you wanting to be fair and allow everyone their opinions to be posted, but you really need to prayerfully consider not allowing John's posts any more if he has nothing useful to add to the conversation. He is really causing discord among the believers who are on here and his posts take away from what others have to say. To make matters worse, his anger and beligerence have taken him to the point where he is now calling others block heads and morons and thinks he has the right to tell other unbelievers they are bound from hell. There is no Jesus coming through in any of his posts. Jesus talked better to prostitues than he talks to the other Christians on here. I ask you consider not allowing any more of those posts.
