Without any foreknowledge or idea that a fellow Brother in Christ had written about Joe Biden today, you can imagine my sheer shock and amazement when I headed over to New Wineskins and saw his latest post. Incredibly, not only did we both write about Biden, but also about the famous "salt and light of the world" passages in the Bible, and while I drew attention to Biden's remarks about "brain scans" being used to detect criminal behavior in 2005, Ultraguy highlighted a video game from 2005 whose storyline, if I didn't know better, could conceivably lead to the use of "Brain Scanners to detect criminal behavior before it has a chance to manifest itself" -- were the fictional events depicted in that game ever to occur in real life. Unreal.

WASHINGTON (AFP) – A scan of brain activity can effectively read a person's mind, researchers said Thursday.
British scientists from University College London found they could differentiate brain activity linked to different memories and thereby identify thought patterns by using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
The evidence suggests researchers can tell which memory of a past event a person is recalling from the pattern of their brain activity alone.
"We've been able to look at brain activity for a specific episodic memory -- to look at actual memory traces," said senior author of the study, Eleanor Maguire.
"We found that our memories are definitely represented in the hippocampus. Now that we've seen where they are, we have an opportunity to understand how memories are stored and how they may change through time."
The results, reported in the March 11 online edition of Current Biology, follow an earlier discovery by the same team that they could tell where a person was standing within a virtual reality room in the same way.
The researchers say the new results move this line of research along because episodic memories -- recollections of everyday events -- are expected to be more complex, and thus more difficult to crack than spatial memory.
That's odd. I seem to recall our current Vice President making curious statements about the eventual reality of "brain scans", and their intended application in everyday life, in one of his first "mark my words" moments from way back in 2005 -- or 5 years ago.

Assuming for just a moment (and I realize that this is a whole other debate entirely) that "the great whore that sitteth upon many waters" is a veiled reference to the United States of America, then we already know a lot about these "kings of the earth", who their TRUE master is, and why (and perhaps even how) they do the things they do.
Revelation 17:1-2 (KJV) And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
Please understand that I'm not stating authoritatively that I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that these verses are speaking of America. I'm simply providing one line of thinking on the subject to stimulate further study, debate, and discussion on the issue in the hopes that it will motivate each and every one of us (myself included) to explore the concept on a deeper level and to consider real-world, day-to-day domestic and foreign politics from a Christian, and therefore spiritual, perspective.
What I will say authoritatively is that I do believe beyond a shadow of a doubt -- now more than ever -- that BOTH political parties are merely two sides to the same coin. That is to say, that I believe that the end game is the same (the primary agenda is shared) and that what we witness most of the time on Capitol Hill is nothing more than political theater. Not all of the time, but certainly most of the time and especially during these end times.
Another caveat. I also don't mean to imply that EVERYONE who's in politics is somehow consciously aware of the evil spiritual being they're serving. In other words, yes, there are some people in Washington D.C. (and throughout the world in positions of political power) who do consciously serve Satan as best they can because he is their god. However, I'm sure there are many others who do not realize who it is they're really helping to serve (or who it is they're really being influenced by) through their actions, policy positions, and votes.
But let's ignore the debate about the "great whore" being representative of the U.S. and just focus on the "kings of the earth" for a moment because, quite frankly, we don't need to prove that the "great whore is America" to make the point that I wanted to when I set out to write this commentary today.
What's the point? That, as Christians who study the end times, we must stop viewing any current political debates (both domestic and foreign) from an earthly, physical perspective because such a view is limited and it will only blind us to the truth and distract us from what's most important. We need to view it all from a Christian, spiritual perspective because only then will we free ourselves from the paralyzing and fruitless struggle between the "I'm right! You're wrong" and the "Right-Left" or "Conservative-Liberal" paradigms.
In essence, there's a "Christian" perspective and an "anti-Christian" perspective, which is why there's always "black" and "white" sides to any issue despite any attempts to engineer shades of gray. We need to fight the urge to get caught up in these distracting debates. I'm not saying that we shouldn't try to be the salt and the light of the world -- we most certainly should!
Matthew 5:13 (KJV) Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
All I'm saying is that whenever I see something like this it alwasy reminds me of the wily, scheming nature of Satan and how it's prevalent throughout the political halls of power whether it's here in the United States or abroad. We should do all that we can to stand up for what's right and to stop the advancement of evil in our society, but to what extent?
Let's remember that we know what the Bible says about what's coming. We can't stop God from fulfilling His ultimate plan for humanity. Likewise, we know that The-Powers-That-Be want noting more than to create their own New World Order with their Antichrist at the helm. How are they going to attempt to do that? By fostering dissent at every imaginable level in the hopes of established "order out of chaos" as soon as they can.
I just pray that we're mindful of these truths whenever we allow ourselves to get so wrapped up in heated political debates, or concern ourselves with politics to the point where it supplants our need to fellowship with and pray to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His help and deliverance in such a fierce time as this.
Now, before you brush off any such carte blance allegations that I've made against politicians let alone a prominent U.S. politician and a key member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), you might want to consider some additional evidence that indicates who guys like him within the "halls of power" are being influenced by.
Here's a hint: Self-proclaimed Catholic public servant or not, it's not the Holy Spirt that's whispering in his ear.
Genesis 12:2-3 (KJV) And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Leviticus 25:23-24 (KJV) The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me. And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
Sadly, unless such men and women yield to the promptings of the Holy Spirit instead, turn from the corruption generated by the power they wield, and seek Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins, then we know their ultimate fate:
Revelation 6:15-17 (KJV) And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Finally, let's just stop for a moment and think this one through. One's thoughts are our most cherished and private possessions especially when such a gift is used the way God intended it to be used -- as a tool to help us medidate on His holy Word, and to help us fellowship with Jesus Christ in an effort to maintain a deeper, more personal relationship with Him.
The government is already trying to control so many "private" areas of our daily lives, but the mere fact that this is precisely the type of technology that will be used to attempt to control the most "sacred" private area of our lives is crossing the line. No, to me it's CLEAR EVIDENCE that this all has a spiritual underpinning to it.
Of course, the Bible warned us about such a scenario instigated by the kings of the earth:
Psalm 2:2-3 (KJV) The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
But don't be dismayed. There is hope! More than you know! John began the Book of Revelation with a very reassuring, strengthening, encouraging, hopeful word:
Revelation 1:4-5 (KJV) John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
The phrase I want us to focus on is the phrase, "the ruler of kings on earth" because it's important for us to rest on this truth in the midst of times like these. Jesus Christ is "the ruler of kings on earth", which is pretty definitive, isn't it? This is what John means when he says that Jesus is "King of kings and Lord of lords" (Revelation 17:14; 19:16).
As John Piper once wrote, "This is what I want to declare today in the midst of the amazing political upheavals of these last weeks: Jesus Christ is the ruler of all the kings and presidents and chiefs and premiers and governors and prime ministers." Amen!
Using an example he gave in his column from a few years back (and just changing the names to make it more relevant), if Barack Obama says to Jesus, "How can you be the ruler over me? I have my office by the election of the people of the United States, a sovereign nation, and by virtue of a constitutional inauguration and installation," Jesus will answer, "I have my office as ruler over you by God's election and by virtue of my resurrection from the dead, my indestructible life, and my installation at God's right hand."
When Jesus rose from the dead, God exalted him and gave him a "name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee might bow," and that includes all the rulers and kings of the earth. Jesus is alive today presiding from heaven over the rulers of the earth.
Now this is a breathtaking thought. It is something that most people today do not believe or even think about. But it is at the heart of Biblical truth. Jesus Christ is alive, and reigning over all the kings of the earth, all the events of Europe and the Middle East and Central America and, yes, even the United States. We need to understand what this means.
Ok, so, what does it mean exactly? Well, without getting too far off on a tangent here:

> He Regulates What The Kings Of The Earth Do
> He Has Authority To Claim Citizens Everywhere
> Christ Is Ordering The World For The Good Of The Church
> He Will Triumph!!!
So, be encouraged and be strengthened and be hopeful and bold as you enter the turmoil and upheaval of the world especially in the weeks and months ahead that promise to be ripe with domestic political unrest depending on what happens in Washington D.C.
National Health Care, Brain Scanners, Anti-Israel Policy Decisions -- whatever happens on the political front -- please keep in mind that despite all the chaos and uncertainty that our Lord is in complete and utter control of it all.
The kings of the earth may conspire, but unless they repent of their evil ways soon they will undoubtedly perspire in the flames of Hell for all of eternity.

Having your "mind read" for criminal intent reminds me of the movie "Minority Report" where people are arrested BEFORE they even act (specialized police department, apprehends criminals based on foreknowledge).
Also, before we are saved we are ALL inherently enemies of God. So, unless they have made the commitment to serve God they are serving Satan.

Think of the technological advancements since Israel returned to their homeland 62 years ago. Add in Roswell, UFO's, United Nations, etc. all happening since then and you can see Satan knows his time is short.
I believe we are very, very close to the end of the church age because Israel is facing a dead line as never before. They must act very soon to destroy Iran and Syria's nuclear threat (Isa.17:1) or risk being attacked.
Technology has brought us all to this deadline in fulfillment of God's plan and prophecies and there is no escaping it for the world.
But there is for the believer!
Hold on to your hats and keep your eyes on Israel.

that is exaqctly the point I have tried to make for over a year now!
but like you said the truth is in the bible read it and absorb it!
if you trust and worship your government, it is exactly the same thing as trusting and worshiping lucifer!!! because that is the goverments controller.
501c3 tax exemption is signing a deal with satan, and the tax exempt corporate dead body becomes a fornicating whore with lucifer himself!!!!!!!

A DIVINE REVELATION OF HELL by Mary K. Baxter.
My review and research of this and of Mary K. Baxter says she is a charlatan and very unGodly or at the least, a delusional liar. She makes many references or statements that contradict scripture.
Once a writer or self-proclaimed religious zealot contradicts scripture you have a choice, believe God or believe Mary K. Baxter; you can not believe both.
Mary claims Jesus took her to hell.
Remember in Luke 16:24 when the rich man was in hell he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. "So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'" What did Abraham tell him? Abraham said, "...between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us."
Abraham was in Paradise at the time, which is now in Third Heaven, of course. Point being, you can't go to hell and come back. If Abraham or Lazarus could not do it, how could Mary? You could claim that Jesus made it possible, but then read the following and try to justify it.
Mary also claims that angels are able to understand and discern the thoughts and intents of people’s hearts and minds; and that angels fly into heaven to give reports to God. (Kind of diminishes God's omniscience doesn't it?)
This contradicts what it says in 1 Kings 8:39 "...deal with each man according to all he does, since you know his heart (for you alone know the hearts of all men),"
And it also contradicts Genesis 19:12 "Then the men [these were the two angels Lot befriended] said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—take them out of this place!" [parentheses mine]. If angels were "all knowing" they would have known that Lot did not have any sons, only daughters!
I could go on and on of Mary's contradictions, but if these two examples are not enough for you, none of them will be.
