It's worth noting that today there's going to be (or maybe there already was) a "space summit" in Florida, where President Obama is expected to give a major speech concerning the direction of the U.S. space program.
Will it be "Full Disclosure" or "First Contact" perhaps? Not likely. Still, in this day and age you never know when we're talking about "major speeches" and NASA. Keep this thought at the forefront of your mind because we'll come back to it soon.
First, be sure to read this article about the very public conflict between NASA and the Obama administration. Here's the salient point: The Obama administration has announced plans to shelve NASA's near future manned Moon missions, and so it appears that we will have wasted our current $10-plus billion investment in Constellation!
Folks, I don't need to tell you that that's a lot of money. Worse things have happened for a lot less money throughout the course of history, haven't they? I mention that because this entire drama that's unfolding reminds me a lot of a classic 1970s Sci-Fi film called Capricorn One, which was a story that carried the following Taglines:
"The mission was a sham. The murders were real."
"Would you be shocked to find out that the greatest moment of our recent history may not have happened at all?"
The movie was released in June 1978, and it tells the classic conspiracy tale about the first manned mission to Mars. All appears to be going well until the Astronauts are pulled off the ship just before launch by shadowy government types and whisked off to a film studio in the desert. They are told that that the space vehicle has a major defect which NASA has kept a secret for fear of budget cuts, and at the risk of NASA being shut down completely. At the film studio, over a course of months, the Astronauts are forced to act out the journey and the landing to trick the world into believing they have made the trip so that support for NASA -- both from the public and the federal government -- doesn't wane. In other words, this "fictional" story works because it's precisely what many could see happening here in the real-world. Again, this is what I immediately thought of when reading this story today. Food for thought.
Now, that begs the question: Could NASA (in conjunction with a rogue faction of the military) initiate some kind of elaborate hoax (think Project Blue Beam and a simulated "Alien Attack/Invasion" or some kind of "Full Disclosure/First Contact" event) in order to keep their doors open?
It's interesting to note that Monday is the scheduled launch of the X-37B. What's the X-37B? Cryptogon had an excellent piece a couple of weeks ago about Monday's highly classified launch of the U.S. Air Force's X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle.
Basically, it's an unknown vehicle, that has an unknown budget, and an unknown purpose. No red flags raised there, huh?
The AP reports the following:
The Air Force this month plans to launch a robotic spacecraft resembling a small space shuttle to conduct technology tests in orbit and then glide home to a California runway.
The ultimate purpose of the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle and details about the craft, which has been passed between several government agencies, however, remain a mystery as it is prepared for launch April 19 from Cape Canaveral, Fla.
“As long as you’re confused you’re in good shape,” said defense analyst John Pike, director of Globalsecurity.org. “I looked into this a couple of years ago — the entire sort of hypersonic, suborbital, scramjet nest of programs — of which there are upwards of a dozen. The more I studied it the less I understood it.”
The quietly scheduled launch culminates the project’s long and expensive journey from NASA to the Pentagon’s research and development arm and then to a secretive Air Force unit.
Hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent on the X-37 program, but the current total has not been released.
Built by Boeing Co.’s Phantom Works, the 11,000-pound craft is 9 1/2 feet tall and just over 29 feet long, with a wingspan of less than 15 feet. It has two angled tail fins rather than a single vertical stabilizer.
Unlike the shuttle, it will be launched like a satellite, housed in a fairing atop an expendable Atlas V rocket, and deploy solar panels to provide electrical power in orbit.
The Air Force released only a general description of the mission objectives: testing of guidance, navigation, control, thermal protection and autonomous operation in orbit, re-entry and landing.
The mission’s length was not released but the Air Force said the X-37B can stay in orbit for 270 days. The primary landing site will be northwest of Los Angeles at coastal Vandenberg Air Force Base.
The significance of the X-37B is unclear because the program has been around for so long, said Peter A. Wilson, a senior defense research analyst for the RAND Corp. who several years ago served as executive director of a congressional panel that evaluated national security space launch requirements.
“From my perspective it’s a little puzzling as to whether this is the beginning of a program or the end of one,” Wilson said Friday in a telephone interview from Washington, D.C.
The X-37B is now under the direction of the Air Force’s Rapid Capabilities Office. Its mission is to speed up development of combat-support systems and weapons systems.
Operating since 2003, the office has worked on several things, including upgrading the air defenses around the nation’s capital as an anti-terrorism measure and assessing threats to U.S. combat operations, according to an Air Force fact sheet.
NASA began the X-37 program in 1999 in a cooperative deal with Boeing to roughly split the $173 million cost of developing an experimental space plane. The Air Force put in a small share.
The X-37, initially intended to be carried into space by shuttles in 2003, was a larger version of the Air Force X-40A, a concept for a “Space Maneuver Vehicle” to put small military satellites in orbit. The X-40A was dropped from a helicopter in glide and landing tests but was never capable of actual space flight.
In 2002, NASA awarded Boeing a $301 million contract to complete a version of the X-37 to be used in approach and landing tests and begin designing an orbital version that would fly in 2006.
But in 2004 NASA turned the project over to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Defense Department’s research and development arm. In 2006, the X-37 was put through captive-carry and drop tests using Mojave-based Scaled Composite LLC’s White Knight, the jet that launched Space Ship One on the first private suborbital manned space flights.
The reason why this could be another important piece of the puzzle (perhaps hinting at what's to come) is because it's emblematic of the militarization of space. Of course, to those of us who have researched the so-called "Alien/UFO" phenomenon extensively over the years, we know that the phenomenon is not only real, but it's ENTIRELY a spiritual one as opposed to being an extraterrestrial one.
Furthermore, many of us have even wondered if such a reality will go hand-in-hand in playing into the world military buildup prior to the prophesied Battle of Armageddon. The thinking is that if a new paradigm can be established that says there are both "good Aliens" and "bad Aliens", and that the Antichrist is maybe one of the "good Aliens" himself, then it would make sense for there to be a military buildup not only on this planet, but in space as well to try and combat Jesus Christ (who will be offered to the unbelieving, unsaved world at the time as a "bad Alien") when He returns with His Saints to fight in that final battle.
Before you dismiss such a suggestion as being preposterous, I want to share what one reader wrote in response to that original Cryptogon piece:
"I imagine loading one or several of these automated orbital craft up with multiple remotely programmable warheads or kinetic energy missiles and leaving them in orbit until required could result in big savings in time, money, and US military casualties if used in future ’shock and awe’-style offensives. If the projectiles were large and designed to take out infrastructure or strategic targets rather than people (unlike the following design monstrosity): Lazy Dog Bomb it might even reduce enemy civilian and military casualties. On a side note, imagine using artificial meteorites to conduct black military ops: plausible deniability and the psychological warfare component of the suggestion of divine judgement. It does kind of have the look of a cruise missile. I’m sure that was … umm … coincidental."
Lovely, isn't it? But entirely reasonable.
All the more reason to pray for discernment and cling to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because you know that we're never told the "full story" about anything in this world. Yep, Satan has succeeded in that regard.
Fortunately, we are blessed to belong to One who is much more powerful than he is.

The news this morning was reporting that instead of going to the moon, Obama wanted to focus on Mars.
He needs to focus on Mars!!... as in the manipulated photos from NASA.

I was just reading you peice on the movie "Knowing" and had a question some what related to all of this. Have you checked out the movie "The Fourth Kind" with Mila Jovovich? It's supposed based on true events but the things depicted in the previews I have seen look more demonic than Alien. I also find it interesting that what these people are seeing outside there window is an OWL. Worth a look if you haven't written about it or checked it out. Would love to see your take on it. I will say it again: step out of church for a while. Stop listening to preachers, teachers, "prophets", turn everything off. Read your Bible, pray, sing, fast a little and listen for the Holy Spirit (test the spirits to see if they be of the Lord too). This is a good way to clear the air...
There is so much happening now, it is easy to get caught up in everything...
