There are various causes that one can get behind and fully support as a Christian. Today, I was reminded of one that we looked at briefly a few months ago; one that broke my heart and that has encouraged me to do something for them no matter how "small" my contribution may be.
Yahweh Center Children's Village is a regional residential treatment program and child-placing agency for abused, neglected, and at risk children under the age of 12 years. Founder and Executive Director Carla J. Roberts in 1987 had a vision to start a agency that helped heal the hurt of some of North Carolina’s most at risk children.
Today, the Yahweh Center now offers residential treatment, psychiatric outpatient services, play therapy, therapeutic foster care, adoption services, and works with attachment disorder children and families.
They need people to support their ministry and mission through prayer, gifts of time, financial support, and by simply sharing their needs with your sphere of influence (like I'm doing right now). Ultimately, they need those of us within the Body of Christ to help them heal the hurt.
Besides the above aforementioned ways in which you can help, you can also do something right now that requires very little effort on your part. Their cause is listed on Facebook and, at the moment, they need your help to reach their goal of 500 Members.
The last update I saw was that they had 268 Members out of the 500. Surely, this community can help them bridge that gap so let's get to it!
So, the most important thing you can do to help their cause is to invite your family and friends to join too. Please support Yahweh Center Children's Village and help them reach their goal of 500 Members today.

Thank you so much for bringing this ministry to our attention. What they are doing is more than laborious! Having been a crisis pregnancy councelor, gone through the MAPPS program for foster care in our state, having adopted a child who would've have ended up severly abused had she stayed with her birth parent: this is very near and dear to me! These people are truly pouring their lives out for these children! Some of us could not even fathom the abuse and trauma that children have been suffering. It is satanic to the core! My husband and I are open to recieving more children into our home and are not afraid of the economy as we have seen the LORD provide. I will be talking to my hubby when he gets home and asking him if we may make a donation and we will certainly pray!!
FATHER, Your children all over this world are doing some work that is almost unbelievable. They need Your strength, refreshing, patience, energy and support. LORD, please increase their finances as they struggle to bless and support these children. Please have mercy on these children and deliver them from the grips of the enemy. Please loose every foul spirit that has raped their body, soul and mind and send those spirits back to hell. With Your healing, FATHER, please fill them and make them brand new. What satan meant for evil, LORD we know You can use for good: so may every child who has suffered, become a vessel of understanding and compassion and comfort to those who suffer. Please grant them the power of forgiveness and renewal, that they may paricipate in Your divine will of reconciliation! FATHER, Your name be praised now and forever! amen

I think what this Ministry is doing is wonderful. Our children are so precious and to think that any child has had to go through any kind of suffering is heartbreaking. I wish I could help them financially but unfortunately it just isn't possible for me right now. But, instead I will pray for these children and those who care for them. God Bless them and all the children in their care.
