Silverback, Obamas In The 'Tar Heel State', Nephilim

In the last post, we highlighted the connection between the recent Iceland volcano eruption, the sudden surge in severe earthquakes, and Sue Bradley's research from last year that suggested a pretty significant link between such natural events and the prophecy of the Abyss/Bottomless Pit as recorded for us in Revelation 9.

As always, since our spiritual eyes are always open (mine always are!) we tend to notice other curious symbolism as it occurs particularly in current events and pop culture. Sometimes it almost seems like they're a preview of what's to come.

Think of it as though you were standing on the shore of a body of water. Something (whether it's something that was dropped/thrown into the water, or something that came up from beneath the surface of the water ) causes some ripples or small waves. The eye of the person standing on the shore will tend to notice those ripples first before their eye immediately attempts to trace them back to a source where everything is put into clear focus and they finally understand where those ripples where coming from and why.

Maybe it's like that with the way things unfold here in the real world as we progress along God's prophetic timeline. While this is all certainly PURE SPECULATION on my part, I'm wondering if perhaps that's what these next few events are -- "ripples" in time that are hinting at what's coming. Pure speculation on my part.

Ok, so what I'm I talking about here? Let's take a quick look at the potential prophetic puzzle pieces that I noticed this past week, but mainly over the past few days. I'm interested to find out if the same items jump out at any of you like they did to me.

First, the key news headlines with some selected excerpts:

Why Did NFL Commish Call Top-Five Draft Pick 'Silverback'?
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell approached the podium to announce the fourth selection at Thursday night's NFL draft with his usual solemn demeanor. "With the fourth pick in the NFL draft," he said, "the Washington Redskins select Trent 'Silverback' Williams, offensive tackle from Oklahoma." Collectively, football fans around the nation had the same exact thought: "Wait, did he just say 'Silverback'?" He did indeed. As part of an inside joke with the massive Oklahoma tackle, Goodell gave Williams' nickname when announcing his selection by the 'Skins. The offensive lineman says he got the name from his Oklahoma teammates, who said his beastly play on the field deserved its own beastly nickname. The bigger question is how did Goodell come to say the name? Nobody could ever remember the commish doing something similar with another player during the draft.

Obamas Jump Right In To The Asheville Scene
Don't underestimate this president's stamina. A day after addressing Wall Street bankers with calls for financial reform, President Barack Obama switched gears and traveled here Friday for a weekend getaway — and then did plenty of getting around. Lunch at 12 Bones Smokehouse in the River Arts District. A quick check-in at the Grove Park Inn. An afternoon hike, negotiating roots and rocks along a stretch of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail. In notices leading up the vacation, the White House made it clear the Obamas planned no public appearances. The first couple largely stuck to that Friday, venturing into public some, but with nothing announced ahead of time. At 12 Bones, startled patrons held up cell phones to snap photos as the Obamas waited in line. The first couple ordered ribs, greens, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, cornbread and a few sweet teas. They spent about 40 minutes at the restaurant, before heading to the Grove Park Inn for a short break. As the motorcade pulled off Interstate 240 onto Charlotte Street, throngs of people cheered and waved. A few protested, including one man who waved a yellow poster with a hammer and sickle superimposed over Obama's 2008 campaign logo.

Is Progressive Asheville Obama's Vision For America?
Founded as a health resort, the little city of “hillbilly-hippies,” entrepreneurs, musicians, retirees, and community drum circles is, indeed, a progressive’s vision of America. Nestled in the oldest hills on earth, Asheville (pop. 70,000), the first East Coast city to require sustainable green construction, is a sort of experiment in environmentalism that has made the city the gateway to the new Appalachia and gotten it listed both as one of America’s “happiest places” and as one of the “best places to reinvent your life.” But it also represents conservative fears about what President’s intentions might wreak: A dearth of high-paying jobs, relatively high taxes, large numbers of homeless and other wards of the state, a high crime rate, and a progressive ruling class perhaps more interested in maintaining quaintness than thickening residents’ wallets.

‎Obama Cites 'Devastating Chapter' In Armenia Past
President Barack Obama calls it "one of the worst atrocities" of the 20th century — the mass killings of Armenians by Ottoman Turks around the time of World War I. Saturday marks the 95th anniversary of the start of the slaughter in 1915, and Obama is taking time to remember "this solemn day." A White House statement issued while Obama spends the weekend in Asheville, N.C., calls the killings "a devastating chapter" in Armenian history. Obama says it's important to keep alive the memory of what happened "so that we do not repeat the grave mistakes of the past." Historians estimate that up to 1.5 million Armenians were killed. Turkey denies that the deaths constituted genocide, and says the toll has been inflated and that those killed were victims of civil war and unrest.

A few observations that just have to be made here...

> In the ENTIRE HISTORY of the National Football League, the Commish has NEVER introduced a player using their nickname. Never. So, I just thought that it was awfully curious how the very first time it does actually occur, it not only coincides with some of the things we've been noticing and discussing about the Nephilim (a.k.a. Giants) and the connection to volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, but the nickname used ALSO speaks to the same theme! A "Silverback" is a kind of Gorilla from Africa typically viewed as being immense and extremely powerful -- just like the Nephilim! What are the odds, right?

> The Obamas travel to Asheville, NC for a weekend vacation. Again, not only does the timing of their trip COINCIDE PERFECTLY with the points just made, but Asheville is in North Carolina and the state is called "The Tar Heel State", which is a type of "Big Foot" as you can see by the official Tar Heel team logo:

> Oh yeah, more recent versions of the logo depict a ram with the horns featured prominently! Nothing prophetically special about ram horns, are there? What are the odds, right?

> Speaking of a Big Foot, "Bigfoot", also known as "Sasquatch", is a supposedly ape-like creature purportedly inhabiting forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America, but there have also been reported sightings in the Southeastern United States . Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal humanoid. Of course, this connects with everything previously highlighted today and especially to the Silverback comment in the NFL! Plus, in what is called an early description of the Bigfoot phenomenon, in 1847, Paul Kane reported stories by the native people about "Skoocooms", or a race of cannibalistic wild men living on the peak of Mount St. Helens. The Skoocooms appear to have been regarded as supernatural, rather than natural. Thus, we have the spiritual thread as well as another comment on this apparent connection between these types of creatures and mountains/volcanoes! What are the odds, right?

> Even the photo of President Obama "in the woods" during his vacation in Asheville that the mainstream press has been publishing in most places EERILY RESEMBLES that famous photo of Bigfoot, which just blows the mind! Have a look for yourself:

> By the way, a place called Mars Hill is a town just 15 miles from Asheville, NC. I just figured I throw that out there too.

> In addition, Asheville, NC is also known for a few other reasons that could (should) raise some red flags to all of us. Asheville pops up on `national rankings for a variety of things: Modern Maturity named it one of "The 50 Most Alive Places To Be"; It is one of AARP Magazine's "Best Places to Reinvent Your Life"; It was proclaimed the "New Freak Capital of the U.S." by Rolling Stone. Asheville has also been called "a New Age Mecca" by CBS News' Eye On America. Hmmm, certainly some "interesting" labels, huh? What are the odds, right?

> In regards to the Syncho-Pop connection, I discovered that there were several feature length movies that were filmed in Asheville, NC: A Breed Apart, which was a 1984 drama about the need to protect endangered species, in this case the Bald Eagle. Wow! The symbolism is obvious I hope -- the Bald Eagle as an endangered species equates to the United States (symbolized by the Bald Eagle), which is also a sort of "endangered species"!; Another film shot there is Being There, which has an appropriate movie poster for us Christians!; Of course, that has nothing on this movie poster from the film Mr. Destiny that was also shot in Asheville!; Then there's the curiously titled The Clearing, which is a unique word pairing calls to the Christian mind all sorts of things like the Rapture!;

> You simply have to read Running From Babylon's recent entry "Global Katrina, Global Famine" and add her conclusions to all of this (thanks for the head's up Steve!)

> In the past, we've discussed the reasons why we believe the so-called "Alien/UFO" phenomenon is not only real, but that it has more to do with demonic forces as opposed to "little green men from another galaxy/planet". Well, that being said, I also thought it was curious that UNCA is hosting a lecture by Robert Hastings. Robert Hastings, author of UFOs And Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters At Nuclear Weapons Sites, takes to the road at the University of North Carolina Asheville on Wednesday, April 28th. Folks, that's next week Wednesday (this coming Wednesday). Hastings' lecture is entitled "UFOs: The Secret Story" and gets underway in the university's Highsmith University Union Alumni Hall at 7 p.m.

> As if that weren't enough, this is the official teaser for the documentary The Day Before Disclosure by New Paradigm Films. The feature film will shed new light on the "Alien/UFO" phenomena and the "ET presence" and premieres in May 2010.

> Just in case you think us Christians are the only "crazy nutcases" who believe that, I just read that the so-called "smartest man alive today on the planet" announced he believes in "Aliens" -- and thinks they're dangerous too! Here's the headline: Stephen Hawking: Aliens Exist But Don't Talk To Them -- It's Too Dangerous

> If you REALLY want to make your head spin you simply have to check out the details regarding the "Event Horizon" art showcase going on throughout the streets (and rooftops!) of Manhattan, NY! You won't believe the description let alone the various images themselves. Please just keep in mind that the report and resulting symbolic analysis comes from The Secret Sun, which is NOT a Christian blog. In fact, I believe there were a few anti-Christian comments in Mr. Knowles' piece, but where he leaves off by not connecting things to Christianity and end times Bible prophecy, LUF will carry the torch and do just that.

> Also worth mentioning in connection with all of this is the latest from George Ure's Urban Survival (thanks JoAnn!): "While none of us knows the hour, predictive linguistics work I’ve been involved in (peripherally) since spring 2001 seems to point to a less than pleasant November of this year and for several years on from there. Curtain down, kind of November through 2012 period. If you haven’t read my colleague Cliff’s report 'Wolf and the other Blitzers, the new War Season, a terrible choice', which begins 'World War 3 is here…' may be worth a read but it’s sobering stuff. Curdle the Wheaties stuff. I grant you that the linguistics seem often to overstate things, but eventually, as was the case in the August read on the December following Banda Aceh quake, the numbers in the linguistics ('300,000 dead or driven back to a previous age') eventually showed up in media. Unless things change dramatically from the WW 3 track, an alien attack on earth leaving only a billion dead, would be comparatively a happy ending. Yeah, the numbers are staggering and never seen a tipping point like this ever. 9/11 was impact measures minutes worth of change. This is months and months of that level, although the main thrust seems like four days. Which, if you’ve been paying attention these past few weeks, explains why we’ve been talking so much about ancient roots, the lost Laws of The Way [sounds like the original version of Christianity -- Act 22:4 NIV I persecuted the followers of this Way to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing them into prison,], the path ahead, and the right way to go in case you’re not around a year from now. I’m figuring our odds are only 60% of seeing 2011 flip over to 2012 and we’re in the boonies out here – for some reasons that at times seem to verge on paranoia. And then I read the headlines which only confirm it’s the world’s gone crazy, not us sensible humans." TRANSLATION: Even the non-believers sense that the end times are upon us! It's just insane that this "black science" (or whatever you want to call the "Web Bot" phenomenon) also alludes to the types of things we've highlighted here today! What are the odds, right?

> By the way, while typing this my 4.5-year-old son just came over to me to play and I tickled him and tackled him down to the ground. He laughed and then said: "Daddy, you're like a big giant!" Unreal! Friends, you can't make this kind of stuff up. You just have to be open to seeing it with your spiritual eyes and ears WIDE OPEN all the time. What are the odds, right?

Now, all that being said, this all MAY or MAY NOT BE prophetically relevant. Those of you who have been visiting this forum since the beginning know the drill. I'm just recording some observations I've made that seem to draw my attention and then hold it for some reason. Then, I end up asking myself: Are these prophetic puzzle pieces of some sort?

Please don't take ANYTHING that I write here as "gospel", but please take EVERYTHING under prayerful consideration to the Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to work things out by giving you discernment. Then, by all means, please come back and share your insights with the rest of the Body of Christ in the form of comments to this post in the Comments Section. Of course, you can also correspond with other believers at My Alabaster Box, or through any 1 of the 3 daily/weekly broadcasts (I Want To Believe Radio, Kingdom Bound Radio, Right Now Radio).

Folks, now now than ever, we need to come together in fellowship as never before to apply what we are commanded in 1 Thessalonians 5:11.

Lastly, please DON'T RESPOND TO ANY OF THIS WITH A SPIRIT OF FEAR because we know the truth of the matter:

Matthew 10:28 (NIV) Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Of course, we also read...

Luke 21:26 (KJV) Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Have no fear. Don't be amongst those whose hearts are "failing them for fear" and put your full trust in our Heavenly Father!

By all means, keep looking up!

That certainly evokes thoughts of the Fallen Angels interbreeding with human women to produce offspring called Nephilim, doesn't it?

Very timely indeed, wouldn't you say?

JRed you went by that one way too fast. Before I read your peace here, I thought the same thing of Obama running through the woods when I first saw it pop up on the drudge report. Plus, I have thought in times past the BO could be a poss. Nephilim or a Nimrod wanna be. Anyway, my neighbors down the street moved to Asheyville a few years ago because they said that they wanted a life change and were investigating all religions. We had invited them to our Christian church which got the response. Asheville is know to be a NEW AGE place amongst the people. Also, the land is supposedly intersection magnetic lines that will get you intouch with the earth. Sorry, I don't have links but you can do your own search. Sasquatch... that's really good one.

Very enlightening and interesting post! Thanks for sharing it with us!

JRed: Thanks for this post. It clears up some questions from something that happened about 12 to 14 years ago. My husband and I had made our very first trip to Asheville to attend an auction. I have never forgotten that trip--the people we encountered in Asheville were rude, self-centered, and unfriendly. I was really surprised to find this attitude in the South.

I'm guessing now that what we encountered was a spirit that recognized and opposed the Holy Spirit residing in us. Is that conclusion too far out?

I live in NC and have visited asheville a couple of times. Several months ago, I visited the famous Grove Park Inn. I was quite disturbed by the strange list of famous visitors. I'm sure there are more that had their visits kept secret. It is a who's who of possible past illuminati types. from their website:
Famous Guests

During the summers of 1935 and ’36, author F. Scott Fitzgerald resided in our Room 441. He’s just one of the American luminaries to have stayed here, a list that includes Harry Houdini, Will Rogers, George Gershwin, Thomas Edison, Eleanor Roosevelt and Henry Ford. Not to mention presidents — William Howard Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Richard M. Nixon, George H. W. Bush, William J. Clinton and Barack H. Obama.

Also am friends with a person who lived in the asheville area who left for the single reason of the vast population of occultists. Black Mountain, near by is still a location used for sacred indian rituals and quests.

fyi. - much more to learn i'm sure. Thanks JRed.

Jeff, was behind, and sent you a link to the Hawking piece only to come here and see you reference it.

Did you catch that one of the alien races that he thought existed were "bright yellow predators that kill their prey with stinging tails".

Almost reminds one of the creatures who come from the abyss to sting mankind in Revelation, eh?

Here's some food for thought: According to Texe Marrs, Asheville, NC, is home to the famous Biltmore Estate, owned and operated by the Illuminati. That would explain the New Age talk.

I follow your blob every now and then, as a Christian, a liberal, and a realist. HOwever, your comparison of Bigfoot to the pix of the Obamas in the woods....Beyond the Pall, JRed. The other stuf...meh, ok. The GPI has interesting history, but what doesn't very old inn?

THe WNC mountains have a lot of God energy, yet you must pluck all the negative willy nilly symbolism...quite a reach in most cases.

I'm from the area, so Anon(name?) with the bad experience --- to imply there is some nefarious thing in the people in Aville...reacting to your 'Christianity' is Looooney tunes.
Get a grip.

Asheville is known to be bit of a hotbed of UFO activity though, I'll give you that.

Ludicrous...the Obama/Bigfoot comparison is disgusting; you may not agree with the man's politics, but comparing him to a primate-like creature?
Shame!
Where are you...Mississippi circa 1950?
Is this a Christian site or a front for the the KKK?

Anonymous,

And here we go...Yes, "shame on me", right?

If that's all you came away with from this entire STUDY IN SYMBOLISM, then we're all worse off then even I thought we were!

JRed, this used to be a slightly more coherent site..just in my opinion. what the heck has happened?

Having followed synchro-mysticism for several years now, i'm aware of SYMBOLs - dude, i know how it works, but YOUR symbolic reading and the comparison of FLOTUS to Bigfoot rang sour.

Hey, just an impression. frankly, your interpretation could be interpreted by ME as a symbolic of something else ---a sort of OCD
knee jerk with every single move POTUS makes - assigning a symbolism or power or "sign of the terrible times" to him that i think you are not consecrated to do or speak to.

peace.

Jeffrey K Radt ("JRed") said...

Melissa,

In response to your initial question...

"I'm not sure when it happened. Quite frankly, I've heard similar 'complaints' since the very beginning. So, there you have it. I'm truly sorry you feel that way."

Of course, you're certainly entitled to your opinion. I'm ok with that. A comment was made and I simply responded.

As for the idea that one needs to be "consecrated" in order to speak or write about anything from a Christian perspective, I just think that's what's wrong with Christianity today. Proverbs 25:2, right?

There's far too much trust placed in the so-called religious leaders let alone blogs like this one when the goal should be for each and every one of us to seek the truth in the Word on our own. Take EVERYTHING under prayerful consideration to the Lord, right?

At the end of the day, I believe that God reveals Himself and His plans for humanity through his creation and often speaks in real-world parables. What are current events and news, but a part of His creation, but real-world parables?

That's why I try to simply document my observations like the ones contained in this post. I'm always careful to point out that they MAY or MAY NOT be prophetically relevant.

I pray that's enough for most people to know how to approach this forum. Thanks for visiting and for writing.

Saved By Grace Through Faith,
Jeff (JRed)

Melissa: I am not real good with words and perhaps came across wrong on my post. I certainly am NOT arrogant enough to suggest that "MY Christianity" had anything to do with what happened. What I was trying to point out is that in all my travels up and down the East Coast and even Westward, I have never encountered what happened in Asheville. I was trying to say that (and I may still not be able to get this across) God's Holy Spirit resides in all who claim Jesus as Lord and Saviour and that there is a supernatural conflict with demonic spirits. I firmly believe that some places (whether buildings, cities, businesses, etc.) are so totally inhabited by demonic spirits that they detect and oppose God's Holy Spirit. I hesitate to go much further with this thought because I may still come across as self-righteous, but hopefully that will not be the case. There are several instances in the Bible--God's Holy Word--of demonic spirits recognizing God's Holy Spirit in a person or persons. And since you said that there is a lot of UFO activity in the area, I must then assume (another bad word) that these demonic beings associated with UFO's could possibly elicit feelings of being unwelcome.

My name is Barbara, which was in the post to which you were referring.

Marantha!

Hi Barbara! Ok, I understand what you are saying. I do. I respect your feelings and experience. however, some of the most humble, God loving/fearing people I have known in my life in that area. I certainly don't discount your experience, I just want to say it's weighed with GOOD (the area). I'm passionate about it because it generates a lot of Love and Spiritual Ephipanies for people.

JRed, thanks for your comments and i won't take up more time. I just wanted to say, actually, you have Do have freedom of speech and seem to think things out fairly well...of **course** you can speak your piece as you feel led. I got passionate about Asheville and hence...Hyperbole. Sorry.

Peace, brother.

Jeff,

Long time, no speak. Been reading though. As a resident of the Ole' North State, I am aware of the occultic symbolism of Asheville. It is a high place, like no other.

Sacred to Wiccans, it is also the home to massive crystal energy according to those who follow New Age teachings.

In addition, Asheville is a very LGBT-friendly community, and has active tourism campaigns that target this demographic.

It reminds me of the town that that Peretti based "Piercing the Darkness" on: Beautiful on the outside, sinister on the inside.

Me and my wife saw a devil in flesh body yesterday, 06/02/10. We were riding down I-26 toward Charleston, SC, when we saw a dark silver/gray Honda drive by us. The man had black hair, black shades, angular face, day's growth of beard. He appeared as a white man. The car had Florida tags. The Holy Ghost revealed to both of us that it was a devil, and to me with angels that it was Lucifer himself. He didn't look at us, but he had a very definite hatred for us, and the angels that were with us.

Isn't Ashville the home of Billy Graham???

Isn't Ashville the place where Morningstar Ministries (Rick Joiner) sold (are still selling?) real estate that they "toot" as a place of an open heaven and miracles? (I may be wrong on this, but I believe I remember that Ashville is their "special" place.)

A friend specifically visited the site because they wanted to get a feel for an "open heaven" and she stated there was nothing there - spiritual or physical.
