Just finished listening and wanted to say, wow. Thank you so much for this, as it's been near and dear on our hearts. My husband's family is Catholic and we have often tried to speak with them. If things get to a discussion (not ignoring what we say), then it comes down to us being close-minded, intolerant, etc. We have let up on things because it has been wearisome, yet can see how this is something that needs to be picked up again, prayerfully.
Am formulating comments to the radio show itself, but wanted to pray and think on comments first.

I missed the first 25-30 mins of the broadcast tonight, so if I repeat something here, please bear with it. I am still thinking on what you asked, spoke about, but in the meantime wanted to share some information about the "queen of heaven" believed to be Ashtoreth for you or anyone who might not realize how it ties in to so much else that you have discussed lately. Most of this was taken quickly as I cannot find my own notes at the moment (sorry it's almost 3am).
As you mentioned, the Mary of the apparitions is not the Mary who bore Christ, but rather the demonic presence(s) manifesting as Mary, the Queen of Heaven is a key part of all of this.
The only book of the Bible to reference the Queen of Heaven is Jeremiah (once in chapter 7, four times in chapter 14). And if anyone hasn't read these two particular chapters, I urge you to do so and prayerfully. If it doesn't sound exactly like what Jeff was talking about then I don't know what else does.
Anyway, Scofield believed the queen of heaven referred to in these chapters is the Ashtoreth. John Milton (in Paradise Lost) even referred to her as Astarte, Queen of Heav'n. Her Greek name was Astarte, though she was also known by many other names, and was considered a goddess deity in every one (Ishtar ring a bell? Aphrodite? Isis? Venus? etc.)
The name Astarte is the second name in an "energy chant" sometimes used in Wicca.
Worship of Astarte/Ashtoreth have appeared all over the world and symbols relating to her are the horse, the lion, the sphinx, the dove and a star within a circle to indicate the planet Venus.
A Phoenician statuette of Astarte found about the 6th or 7th century BC is interesting because of the name...Lady of Galera. (Sound a bit like "Our Lady of ??)
In Ugarit, Astarte is called Athtart, and together with Anat, she holds back--get this--Ba'al from attacking the other deities. Athtart is called the "Face of Ba'al"
Hmmm....Jezebel spirit anyone? (What a way to tie the physical Jezebel with the spirit of Jezebel mentioned in Revelation...the Queen of Heaven and the Harlot.
In Egypt, she appears as a daughter of Ra. Also identified as Sekhmet, Isis and is often found in images to be suckling a small child (reminding one of the many Marian images of her holding an infant).

And even more interesting, (this again from Wikipedia, so please double-check I can't find all my notes at this moment)... "The Masoretic pointing in the Hebrew Tanach indicate the pronunciation as Astoret instead of the expected Asteret, probably because the last two syllables have here been pointed with the vowels belonging to boset "abomination" to indicate that word should be substituted when reading. The plural form is pointed Astarot. For what seems to be the use of the Hebrew plural form Astarot as the name of a demon...."
And what a lot of people do not realize, "easter" as the holiday we know (not as Christ's resurrection, but rather the tradition of bunnies, ham, etc.) has ties to Ashtoreth/Astarte worship,
Joseph over at Parables blog also did a multi-part series on the false deceptions that have crept into the church today (not just Catholic, though some) and greatly discusses the history of the Catholic church and the origins of a lot of pagan "Christian" traditions. There is much related to goddess worship of Astarte in those posts.

sorry to post much tonight, but as mentioned, near and dear topic of interest in our family and I am very interested in hearing more. If the Holy Spirit directs you, would really like to hear about those things you didn't get to speak about.
During the broadcast you asked why this Queen of Heaven (false Mary) appeals to so many.
This may sound a little "out there" but since you also brought up the "alien/ufo" connection above, maybe it won't. And this is just me supposing-- one possible path that we could see come out of this.
Mary has almost always been tied to an infant in images. This, I feel has been done to reinforce the motherly image of love and acceptance of all of her children. And with that "feeling" comes an almost inherent trust. Throw in the miracles, wonders and signs that seem to go hand in hand with the apparitions and you have a mighty recipe for affection seekers not realizing what they are embracing.
The apparitions almost always appear in the sky, right? It would not be a stretch to get people to trust this matronly mother of love and tolerance and peace, and then to let them know that, "hey, I'm not really human after all" and from there just a hop and a skip to "and this is my son, Jesus Christ [false, anti-Christ]"
You also mentioned how religious/occultic groups such as Hindus, etc. are expecting her return, and are open to the idea of whatever form she might take. Yet, what two groups would not expect their Messiah to be alien or demonic? Christians and Muslims. Particularly Christians, who profess to believe that narrow is the gate and few will enter. How else could few enter unless many are deceived. For these, it must be someone related to their God (at least in their false world) to help them fall into the lies. Again, we have the unifying factor of the supposed "Mother of God" who would confess her son in front of the world, who, if the alien/ufo meme plays out, would appear in the clouds (as perhaps Christians have been told Christ would appear).
Anyway, there is so much that you've given to think and pray on for certain and so much I could ask/talk about. Mainly though that I agree heartily we need to get into the Word and read and pray more than ever before so that we are not deceived. You said (and the Bible tells us) to test the spirits. You also mentioned that to make the deception not only palatable, but also believable, satan will mix as much truth into the lie as possible--even if it means 99% and that he will do just enough good to suit his purposes (I thought of "a little leaven" when you spoke on this).
One major thing that stood out to me as you read the words the appartitions spoke of, while on the surface they appear clean and shiny and good fruit with the talk of peace and love, they are more like rotten spiritual fruit with worms and decay found inside.
The key factor? Almost always it is about "meism". "I will come" "I will bring peace" "My children", etc. If there is another mentioned, it's usually "my son" but I can't recall once that son actually being named Jesus Christ (if you read the history on Ashtoreth, then you know the son in reference). Even more telling is that I also don't recall any mention of the Father. If I am in error, please forgive, but I don't recall ever hearing these things.
Christ was about the Father's business, told us to pray to the Father, lived to do the Father's will. It was not for His glory but for the glory of the Father.
This alone should be enough to cause people to stop and realize what is being unfolded right before them, cause them to fall on their faces and seek out God. I pray that some do before it's too late.

As mentioned, this could include the "sudden destruction" of America let's say, which leads to the Destruction of Damascus, the Psalm 83 War, and the Gog-Magog War -- all of which would look like World War III to the world if not a "false" Armageddon allowing the coming Antichrist to set himself up as the Christ Savior. Let's not forget the Four Horseman who will ride in quick succession of one another too. I guess what I'm getting at is that, yes, you're certainly correct to say that judgment is already underway, but I'm talking about the kind that will affect EVERY American as well as EVERY person on this planet at the same time. It seems to me that satan will have to use some kind of technology to purpose the worship of the "image" of the beast, since he cannot be omnipresent like JESUS. Since we are comprised of mind, body and spirit (and this is acceptable amongst most peoples), then satan will have to manipulate all three. Using nanotech to manipulate the body at the dna level coupled with mind control and false spiritual awareness and you have a formula for end time delusion. (definition: implies an inability to distinguish between what is real and what only seems to be real, often as the result of a disordered state of mind.) We all know drugs have the ability to accomplish this, but do we know that cell manipulation can do this too?

I just finished listening to your "Special Report" that aired last night. I felt compelled to make some comments on this topic. As a child and being brought up Catholic and attending a Catholic Grammar school we were always taught to pray to Mary and that if you were bad or told a lie God would punish you. It instilled such fear in me about God at that tender age. As I became an adult and when I became saved I started to learn more about Jesus and the Christian Faith by reading the Bible and surrounding myself with other Chritians. Often times I would hear family members or friends saying how they would pray to a family member that passed away if they were in need of something or going through a difficult time. I would try to explain that they should be praying to Jesus but it always seemed to be ignored. Then I would hear people say how they prayed to Mary to intercede for them. Once again I tried to explain that Jesus is who they should be praying too. Unfortunately that fell on deaf ears as well. I would often notice as I drove through my neighborhood how many people would have a statue of Mary in the front of there house or there backyards. The statue was always surrounded by flowers and sometimes even a candle almost as if it was a shrine. I never once saw anything that represented Jesus. So much emphasis was being put on Mary. I know that Mary was the Mother of Jesus but isn't this worshipping of her part of what Jesus said in the Bible about "Not worshipping false Gods"? I think so. Now that the Pope wants to declare Mary as a Co Redemptrix is truly going to make these people worship her even more. Especially when she will be made known as the "Lady of all Nations". There is only one that we should pray to and worship and that is Jesus Christ. It bothers me to hear how Mary is talked about and treated as if she is a God. Which leads me to another area. The Pope. Someone who I have never believed in once I became older. Here is a man who is also worshipped and praised by people as if he is Jesus himself. I often wonder how many of these people would be their if Jesus was walking the earth today. How this man can decide who will become a saint, or proclaim someone "Queen or Mother of Heaven" is just blasphemous to me. Jesus Christ is the only one who who is "King" in Heaven and the "only" one we are to worship. This world and the Catholic Churches (at least the ones I have visited in my lifetime) have taken away and have been teaching what they feel should be part of the Christian life and worship. Unfortunately, there are many people who just don't feel the need to look further read their Bibles and use their own minds to determine what is right and wrong in those teachings. I'm sorry if this sounds like an attack on the Catholic Churches, I in no way want this to be taken that way. I just feel that people should open their eyes and ears and pay more attention to what is going on and start to realize who is the One that we should be praying and worshipping. Jesus Christ! And noone has the authority to decide who will be a saint or let alone a Queen in Heaven. I thank you JRed for the passion that you have for the Lord and the work you put into each and every one of your shows. GMR, am praying with you for your family and friends. Your story sounds so much like my husband's. He was raised Catholic and God put on his heart to study the Bible and once he began to do that he too realized the error of his particular church. We too deal with the refusal to hear about praying to Mary or dead family members. His youngest sister has even proclaimed that we are wrong to say grace/faith based salvation (Jesus) is the only way to the Father. That if someone is good (works-based) then they will get to heaven. Other family members haven't been as bold to say it, though they believe it. It's definitely a test of faith to live the love of Christ while also sharing the Good News as Christ taught us to. And, as Jeff said, though, it's not just Catholocism. So many embrace this "goddess image" in all walks of life that we are encountering bits and pieces of this even within members of our local churches (baptist, presbyterian, pentecostal, etc.)

This has to do with the enthroning of the antichrist; this is how...
Because Jesus was given flesh and blood from Mary, and Jesus was God, therefore they say that Mary bore God in her body, or that God took on flesh and blood in Mary. Basically they are calling the human nature God, saying that the flesh of Jesus is God, which becomes very hard to debate doctrinally, but the main thing they are missing is that Jesus was "born again" in the Resurrection, not born of Mary, but of God.
So they are enthroning the flesh, which is antichrist. You see this in their Eucharistic devotion also, which is the heart of the Catholic system, where they worship the flesh and blood as God himself. What they are actually doing is high ceremonial witchcraft (in the Mass and all their other rituals), bringing God back into the carnal nature, and lifting the human nature up as God.
You can even see the same layout in the Vatican in the Toltec Temple of the Moon (any surprise there...the moon goddess...Ashtoreth)in Teotihuacan (which means "city of the gods" or "where men become gods"...just like the Pagan system of babylonian witchcraft called the Roman Catholic 'Church'. I read somewhere that the design layout for the temple in Teotihuacan is part of their magic system designed to open a gateway to communicate with the dead.
There's a lot more I could say about the antichrist spirit that is worshiped as Mary, as I unfortunately encountered it directly, and learned everything about it as the Holy Spirit helped me and showed me the nature of what was happening to me, because the attack was so strong and overwhelming I cried out a lot, and He taught me what I was dealing with, which was the forces and powers of the "man of sin" which in essence is the Adamic nature, or Esau as typified in Genesis 25.
I have come to believe that the Roman Catholic Institution is the seat of the antichrist spirit in the world, and is the head of the "mystical body of antichrist".
And now the Pope will be in Cyprus June 4th-June 6th...
