What We're Praying/Talking About

Our faith in action, or our small contribution in trying to apply what we're taught in Hebrews 5-6 and James 2:17-26 for the benefit of our dear brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ...

Christian Lifestyle - Notable Quotable

I'll tell ya, lately I sense the Holy Spirit convicting me in so many areas of my life. He's cleaning up those "little things" that I thought were "no big deal".

Apparently, even one "dust bunny" in the corner of the room makes the whole room "dirty".

"When was the last time you heard of a church rebuking members for gossip, admonishing men for the immodest dress of their wives and daughters, or excommunicating a member for adultery? Today’s evangelical church may take a strong stand on fundamental doctrines like the divine nature of Christ and the inspiration of Scripture, but it too often denies this Christ and this inspired Word by not practicing a true Christian lifestyle. The pattern of life of most Christians is so much like the world around them that they blend right in and cannot serve as salt and light." - Philip Lancaster / Author of Family Man, Family Leader

Hello Jeff. I came upon a couple of YouTube videos that gave me the chills as I pondered on the fate of mankind in these last days. So many people are in their comfort zone as to what is happening around the world. When reality sets in, this is what they may hear when our heavenly father decides to remove the Holy Spirit (which I believe will happen soon) from the earth. I hope I don't come on as a doom and gloom type, but our faith with our Lord Jesus Christ is what will pull us through this tribulation period.
God Bless.

Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

What???

The Holy Spirit isn't gonna be removed, Jesus said himself the Holy Spirit will be here with us till the end. READ YOUR BIBLE! It sounds like you believe in the pre-trib secret rapture, which is a complete lie, a false doctrine made up by a jesuit priest hundreds of years ago. And the catholic church is just a paganistic system that simply teaches mystical new age and occultic doctrines.

really?? "immodest dress of their wives and daughters (i.e. property?)..

i had to read that a few times to GET that you like, agree with this.

oh LOL, he was founder of "patriarch" magazine a while back.

after some research on this person..i found this...
In one article, Lancaster wrote, "Christians are too busy trying to accommodate feminism. They do this by allowing women leaders in the church, **by supporting the practice of women working outside the home, by encouraging unmarried daughters to leave home for college or career (thus promoting a spirit of independence)***, by teaching an egalitarian model of marriage, by sporting hyphenated last names, by importing 'gender-inclusive language' into hymns and even Bible translations, and in many other ways. Feminism is winning the ideological battle for our civilization, and Christians are among its casualties."

hahahahahaha. ow. i hurt myself laughing. no college or work for the women folk? back to our dresses and aprons and spinning and churning butter? what next, don't let us vote? please.

Anonymous,

John 7:24 "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment."

My heart breaks for you. Friend, your reply is further proof that the prophesied Apostasy ("falling away from the faith") is well underway in our world.

Either you're NOT a Christian, and you're guilty of "cherry-picking" things OUT OF CONTEXT (not just in the Bible, but also like you did here from this one excerpt from a book), or you ARE a Christian, but sadly do not read your Bible like you should.

How do I know this? Because the Word is plain and simple. It's literal and straight-forward. Go read what the Bible -- God's Holy Word -- has to say about the types of things you object too and then get back to me. That's another thing. It's not ME you disagree with. It's God and His Word you disagree with. I'm simply the messenger here.

Friend, you can't simply believe the parts of His Word that you like, and ignore the parts that you don't like. That's creating a God that DOES NOT EXIST, and it makes you guilty of idol worship, and that's a sin you need to repent of.

To make this excerpt about the God's Word versus the issue of Feminism and the woman's role in society is to sadly miss the most important point of the whole comment I'm afraid. Besides, there is FREEDOM IN CHRIST -- not "slavery" as you allude to.

My friend, I'm sorry that you feel the way that you do, but I'm glad that you're here at least searching and seeking answers because that means God has a hold of you and is drawing you to Him whether you want to believe that or not. So, I will pray for Him to open your spiritual eyes and ears to the truth before it's too late. I will pray for you.

1 Corinthians 1:18 "For the message of the cross is FOOLISHNESS to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God"

JRed, this is Anon, you know, devil girl...and I think I have truly made a mistake in following your work.
Maybe you have a Mormon background?

While you have been doing some progressively more interesting sync work, your extreme fundamentalism
unfortunately, sucks. I'll pray for you, too.

Barakiel says hello, btw.

Jeffrey K Radt ("JRed") said...

No, definitely not a Mormon -- or a Baptist, or a Catholic, or a Lutheran, or a Protestant, but a CHRISTIAN.

If believing and following God's Word as found in His Holy Bible makes me an "extreme fundamentalist" then so be it -- thank you for noticing! -- and I can live with that.

I'm truly sorry you feel that way too. But again, it's not ME you disagree with, but GOD and HIS WORD.

Your moniker is "devil girl"? These verses came to mind...

John 8:42-47 (KJV) "Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."

Praying For You,
Jeff ("JRed")
