A quick announcement born out of genuine gratitude.
This past week we celebrated Look Up Fellowship's 2-year "Blogiversary" without much fanfare although a VERY HUMBLE THANK YOU is in order from me to all of you.
I've heard that "blog years" are much longer than regular years -- longer even than "dog years" too! And, as the years go by, blogs tend to evolve in unexpected ways.
I went back and looked at some of those early posts from Week #1. Here are the first three commentaries I ever wrote for this site (after writing a few posts that set the proper foundation first) that were originally posted from 7/28/2008 to 8/8/2008...
If you would've told me that I will meet so many wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ during this time, or that the Holy Spirit would teach me so much along the way, or that I'd still be publishing posts -- DAILY -- 2 years from the time I started I never would've believed you. Plus, I probably would've scolded you for merely suggesting that any of this is about me when all the glory, honor, and praise belongs to our Heavenly Father and to Him alone.
I spent some time thinking about what I would classify as being some of the "most popular" articles given their prophetic importance. I didn't just gauge popularity by the number of comments, but by the content itself. I also thought about my favorite research studies too. Here's what I came up with by category/group...
I should quickly mention that during the course of perusing through the LUF Archives I noticed that some posts seemed to be "scrubbed" while others DID NOT show up in any Search Engines despite the use of an exact phrase in quotes. Hmmm...
Two years, a total of 1,485 posts, and 763,000+ visitors later? Are you kidding me!?! Thank you Lord, and thank YOU too. I can only pray that the good Lord is not done with me or this humble online ministry (if it's even worthy to be called such).
By the way in which He's been moving in my life in a BIG AND UNEXPECTED WAY the past few months (and I don't just mean My Alabaster Box, Right Now Radio, Kingdom Bound Radio, and/or I Want To Believe Radio) I am certain He's not done with me. Stay tuned...
Even if He one day tells me to say goodbye to LUF (and everything else) I will gladly do so. Besides, this was never "my blog", but always His blog and His alone.
It's funny because my original intention of posting "a dozen items in one day and then nothing for 2 weeks thereafter" has changed to the extent that I find myself apologizing for taking a few days off for the holidays, or when one of my kids is sick. HA!
All kidding aside, it's been amazing to watch the Lord make LUF what it has become today. If the emails are any indication, then I know that He has used what I've sometimes called "a stupid little blog" to draw His chosen ones to Him.
Thus, as always, the Word of God is proven to be true once more...
Thank you to everyone who has ever visited this site, who continues to visit, who sends me news info, who corresponds with me regularly, and who prays for me.
I will continue to plant the seeds (despite the fact that I am nothing) for as long as the Lord wants me to, and I pray that you will stay with me on this ride.
