I stumbled upon this commentary from Pastor Russ Dizdar of the Shatter The Darkness ministry on a very important subject these days.
The question?
I'm sure I can guess the knee-jerk reaction of most within the Body of Christ. But is that the Biblical, Christian response?

Personally, the events and storyline depicted in this music video seem to capture my thoughts on how the coming Antichrist will rise to power. He won't be "one of them", he'll be "one of us" and his "common man, common sense" approach will tickle the ears of the unsuspecting and undiscerning masses. Then, by the time the "signs and lying wonders" are thrown in it will already be too late for most. Just watch this and you'll see what I mean.
Disturbed - "Land of Confusion" Official Music Video
This is what will happen when the Antichrist arrives on the scene to "save the day" and as a "man of the people" with the answers to all the world's problems. It's worth noting that this isn't from a Christian band, but they definitely get what's going on and how it will all go down in the near future too!
The ending is perfect how they all look up to the sky, and look up to the Antichrist, instead of Jesus Christ the only true Savior. Man, to think a non-Christian band came up with this I guess is proof that people do see what's going on, but only a handful can admit it as being connected to Bible prophecy.
In the end, I keep coming back to this verse...

I'm still contemplating our proper response because I can't agree with everything I've read, but here is one site that brings up excellent questions:

Fight it's coming, no. Fight it, yes. The best way, I think, is to use guerilla-style tactics when the time comes. We still have some freedom to witness openly, but the time is quickly coming when that will be taken away from us. Let's pray that our faith fail not, and laborers be sent to the harvest, that our God's house may be full.
In case there are unsaved eyes reading this, guerilla-style tactics does not mean with guns and kidnappings.

Absolutely ridiculous. Some guy named "Doc" (like Holiday right?) has him some property and his pa said we're gonna have to fight this one out son. Right, that's exactly what Jesus did when he was betrayed in the garden. Peter pulled his sword and chopped off the ear of the centurian AND IT WAS ON! Like Biblcal WWF!!!
Wait, I just checked my bible and that's not what happened at all. It appears Jesus immediately healed the centurians' ear and told Peter not to act like the rest of the world does. In fact He made it clear that Peter should have faith...huh...
Excuse me if I opt out of following the example of Doc Holiday at the OK Corral and try to follow the example of Jesus.
Overcomers rise above. We are in the world but not of the world. The weapons we fight with are not carnal; they have power to bring down strong holds. Whatever happens to you is going to happen to you no matter what you do/do not do. Fighting the NWO is the least of our concerns. Walking in total obedience to the voice of the HOLY SPIRIT is. BTW, the NWO order is not new! Our perspective is off. We should not be gearing up for what the NWO is going to do or what it will be or look like. We should be storing up on the oil of the Word through the Holy Spirit, for HE said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you". You must realize (and soon) there will be pain but with JESUS there will be peace. Pain yes, terror no. Perfect love casts out all fear. But lets not project into the future too much: what about now? Anyone suffering now? Do you have pain and peace? Are you in agonizing prayer, yet have peace that passes all understanding knowing in the depth of your soul the HE loves you and knows you and that you are HIS? What about now? Is there anything that you are holding onto that you are unwilling to let go of? Have you made peace with those around you that you love them, but you will not forsake your first LOVE for them? (They may hate you for denying them, for essentially giving them over to be destroyed). No. We do not need to stock up on beans or toilet paper. It is time (really, really time now!!!) to get your house in order. Forgive. Be forgiven. Love. Let go. Trust the LORD. If you have kids, pour into them; let them know you love them, but that you are going to die for JESUS (whatever that ends up looking like-real death, dying to yourself, dreams, ideals, wants). Settle in your house, Whom you will serve today, not in the near future. GOD bless those who have ears to hear.

Well said everyone! To be blunt, I'm kinda surprised that those who have commented "get it" because lately (in my own sphere of influence) I've come across far too many "Christians" who want to take up arms and fight and protest in the streets. I still think this is a conversation we need to be having on a regular basis until each one of us feels confident in our position, which should ALWAYS match the Biblical position. That settles it! Time to begin working on a Persecution/Proper Response RNR "Special Report" for us. Stay tuned!
