I am more convinced than ever before that God's Divine Judgment/Divine Retribution upon this nation in response to her (our) unrepentant sins is close at hand.

There are many reasons why I believe this to be the case. Two of the most obvious signs, or the kind of things that even non-believers and skeptics would have a hard time ignoring, is the sudden frequency and growing intensity of earthquakes and lightning strikes lately.

In fact, lightning strikes have been in the news A LOT the past few weeks! New Wineskins has been doing yeoman's work covering each case and providing analysis from a Biblical perspective with particular focus on the likely prophetic symbolism inherent in each case. The cycle began, however, a couple of weeks earlier when a lightning strike caused a fire that destroyed a statue of Jesus Christ that stood outside of a church in the state of Ohio!

I don’t mean to sound like a pompous (much less a pious) know-it-all as if I’ve got it all wired. This barely scratches the surface. Nor do I want to raise any undue alarm. Those of us in Christ should not be afraid — a command, not a request.

But shouldn’t it be pretty obvious by now from the veritable avalanche of harbingers — so numerous, “unlikely” and obvious that even NPR and far-leftist labor leaders are picking up on them — mean that thoughts of business-as-usual (much less proper elections in November) are about as crazy as planning what to eat for breakfast on the Titanic as its deck tilts up to ski-hill gradients in the darkness and gathering spiritual cold? Predicting the moment it will go down is not nearly as important as realizing it is imminent, and why.

You don’t need some crazy Jesus-freak blogger in Boston to interpret this for you. You really don’t. Open your Bible, people. Turn off the TV. Get on your knees now and then. Fergoodnessakes, just close your eyes for ten seconds and talk to the Lord (maybe give him ten more to talk to you). He is as close as your sofa. He doesn’t want you to be on the wrong end of this.

Is that really too much? After He gave you life itself? After he died for you?

I’d love to be wrong about the broad sweep of the judgment that is upon us and about the widespread ignorance and denial that has brought it about and that will suffer under it — I really would. (I’m sure I’m wrong on plenty of the details.) I just no longer see how that is possible. The mountain of sin is piled up too high. The hour is far too late. The signs are too many. If our modern ‘Ninevah’ turns, I won’t sulk like Jonah. I just can’t quite see it at this point.

Of course, all this attention upon lightning makes me think of something else we read in the Bible about the prophesied end times...

I have to ask the obvious question: In light of everything that was presented yesterday about how what's going on in the Gulf right now is the anatomy of a conspiracy, was the Oklahoma City Bombing also a "False Flag" event in a sense?

Folks, did you catch that? I hope you were paying attention. This video was shot back last year in April 2009. It emerged around the SAME TIME that the MIAC Report was published along with The Department of Homeland Security's report on extremism about who is classified as a "domestic, homegrown, right-wing terrorist" these days.

See, this is why even though I identify and sympathize with such a movement, as many of you know, I’m still a little skeptical and hesitant to throw my FULL WEIGHT behind the Movement in support of it.

But that's only because I know that this is what the proponents of the New World Order want! They WANT cultural, political, social chaos and disorder in the streets of America! Personally, I see SOME THINGS here and there that concern me about the movement (particularly now that it seems to be getting high-jacked by the Republican party), and SOME THINGS (like the nationalistic fervor it's fostering) that make me think of the National Socialist German Workers' Party. Sorry, I’m getting sidetracked here, and this isn't meant to be a political piece.

I’ll say this...Let’s just BE CAREFUL, and let’s, as Christians first and patriots second, prayerfully consider the Tea Party Movement the new Gulf States Movement, and anything else like it in light of what God’s Word tells us is the Christian response to tyranny and oppression.

Ok, where were we? Today, it wasn't lightning that caught my eye, but news about yet another major earthquake. The latest major earthquake to capture the media's attention was the one that occurred in Mexico earlier this morning...

Strong Earthquake Hits Mexico, One Dead

OAXACA, Mexico (Reuters) – A strong 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck southern Mexico early on Wednesday, leaving one man dead and shaking buildings as far away as Mexico City but sparing infrastructure from serious damage.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck near the town of Pinotepa Nacional, around 80 miles southwest of the colonial city of Oaxaca, Police patrols checking surrounding towns did not report fallen buildings.

The USGS reported the quake as magnitude 6.5 but later revised the figure to 6.2, also moving the epicenter slightly.

As always, whenever these acts of God occur, I immediately perform some basic research into the location of the epicenter just to see what MIGHT be interesting symbolically speaking (a new habit I want to thank my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ for!; you know who you are).

Sure enough, there were some curious facts about Pinotepa Nacional and the city of Oaxaca. It's the kind of thing that you can only call "surreal", but that word doesn't really do the spiritual phenomenon any justice. Neither does labeling this as "spiritual convergence" like we have been for awhile now.

There's just no words in the human language to describe the kind of awe I have for our Heavenly Father following these kinds of studies.

Get this! The city of Oaxaca is known for "Shamanism", and is particularly known for at least one plant and one fungus, native to that area of the world, which are both used in Shamanism (Psilocybe Mushrooms and Salvia Divinorum). Other entheogens in the region include SEVERAL 5-MeO-DMT/Dimethyltryptamine containing plants, often used in Ayahuasca brews. They even use all of this to celebrate "The Day of the Dead"!

Now, by itself, no big deal, right? I agree. HOWEVER, check out the study that Art over at New Wineskins wrote and published LESS THAN 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THIS EARTHQUAKE IN A PART OF THE WORLD THAT IS KNOWN FOR THE SAME KINDS OF INGREDIENTS USED IN THE TYPES OF CREATIONS THAT WERE WRITTEN ABOUT; THE KIND THAT ARE INGESTED FOR THE PURPOSE OF "EXPANDING CONSCIOUSNESS" WHEN WE ALL KNOW THAT ALL IT'S DOING IS "OPENING A DOORWAY" TO THE SPIRITUAL REALM AND MAKING YOU SUSCEPTIBLE TO DEMONIC INFLUENCE!

What are the odds that this would happen unless it was spiritually orchestrated to happen that way!?! At least, that's my interpretation of it. Mind-blowing indeed!

There's more! Pinotepa Nacional is a city and seat of the municipality of the same name, in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. The name "Pinotepa" means "toward the crumbling hill" in Náhuatl.

Now, for whatever reason, the first thing that my simple brain thought of was how the United States has been historically thought of as "a shining city on a hill" typically in reference to John Wynthrop, but mainly in reference to this Bible verse...

Matthew 5:14 (KJV) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

I really don't want to open the door and risk making this an entirely political commentary, but some might say that such a notion about the US wasn't truly popularized until one man -- a President, which some say was the last real man of God to hold office for this country -- made it so during his Farewell Address to the nation.

Interestingly enough, recalling that moment in history made me go back and look at some of the other things that Reagan said that seem so applicable to what's going on today. You just knew the Holy Spirit would lead me straight to a few in particular, right?

Get a load of this one in this age of the rise of the the Nanny State, the New World Order, Terrorism, Tensions in the Middle East, and Weapons of Mass Destruction amongst other things. It reminds me of the truth that duty is ours, but the results belong to God.

I'll ask you to forget that perspective (not to minimize the truth, but to avoid starting a distracting political debate here), and to watch this with the 50+ million -- that's with an M -- babies that were slaughtered in the womb due to abortion in this country.

City Upon A Hill



Is it just me, am I crazy, only "seeing what I want to see", or do you notice this stuff too? To me, it's becoming increasingly clear day-by-day that we're running out of time folks.

If you are saved, then use this precious little time we have left to preach the life-saving and life-changing Gospel to a world that DESPERATELY needs it! If you aren't saved, then fall to your knees right now and seek the Lord's mercy and forgiveness as you offer Him a contrite heart as you repent of your sins

To quickly recap, I come across these stories, do a little research, and discover (through no great wisdom of my own but by the leading of the Holy Spirit!) that Pinotepa Nacional (where the Mexican earthquake occurred) is a city whose name "Pinotepa" means "toward the crumbling hill" in Náhuatl. Now, that's fitting, isn't it? I mean, if the US really was a "shining city on a hill" she no longer resembles her once glorious, rich, and blessed past. Instead, due to the multitude of her unrepentant sins, she looks more like a "Fortress Of Sin On A Crumbling Hill". That figures! We all sense that judgment upon this nation is at hand so doesn't that just fit this whole meme? Unreal.

One final note before wrapping things up today. Ironically, Reagan produced a popular TV ad in 1984 (a year that calls to mind George Orwell's classic and the eerie parallels to the real-world today) called "It's Morning In America Again..."

Yep, I'd say that the kind of judgment this nation is about to face will make the previous "hard times" in our nation's history pale in comparison to what's coming!

Broken, But Not Fainting From Fear

Last year, we had an extremely odd series of "broken" bones in the news. Several cases of broken right wrists or broken right ankles (if my memory serves me correctly) involving some pretty high-profile world leaders.

The symbolism at the time was striking given all that was going on in the world that was prophetically relevant. We tried to document those cases HERE and even offered up some analysis. Incredibly, that post was written in July 2009, or almost a full year ago.

A year later, it's seems like "fainting" is all the rage now. Of course, that reminds me of this prophetic verse...

Luke 21:26 (KJV) Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

The word "faint" occurs 41 times in 41 verses in the King James Version (KJV) of the Holy Bible. See if you notice anything "curious" about the passaged where this word shows up. I also recommend doing a Strong's Concordance study on the world too. So much from seemingly so little! Praise the Lord!

The message is obvious, right? If not, I think that those who still don't "get it" are the ones who won't get it until it's on their doorstep and staring them in the face becoming all too real, too fast to even allow them to catch their breath. So be it! We've had more than enough time to spiritually prepare for the inevitable.

Within the past 2 weeks alone, we've seen two high-profile "fainting spells" caught on camera in very public settings. One involving a decorated military General. One involving an award winning CEO who's a leader of capitalism and industry.

The first occurred 2 weeks ago on June 15th involving General Patraeus who fainted while being questioned by Senator McCain about the progress in Afghanistan. The words that McCain uttered just before Petraeus fainted?

MCCAIN: "I am worried about the message we are sending in the region about whether we're actually going to stay or not, and whether we're going to do what's necessary to succeed, rather than set an arbitrary timeline, and the best way to..."

Looking at McCain's words JUST BEFORE THE GENERAL FAINTED from a SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE, is anyone else struck by how symbolic that language is if we were to rip them out of context and simply view them as our Heavenly Father, or the Holy Spirit, speaking directly to each and every one of us (but especially to the non-believers and false converts) on the eve of the Tribulation? I'm struck by them.

The words "whether we're actually going to stay or not" force me to think of the coming "escape" mentioned in Luke 21:36 (whether it's a literal Rapture event or not). Are we praying to escape the things to come just like Jesus commands us to in this verse?

The words "whether we're going to do what's necessary to succeed" force me to think about the process of sanctification. Are we allowing the Holy Spirit to sanctify us, or is Jesus Christ just our Savior, but not our Lord?

The words "rather than set an arbitrary timeline" force me to think about date-setting, or those who wrongly assume they have all the time in the world to "get right with God" in this life. Are we guilty of date-setting, and have we come to our senses are recognized our need for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ today?

Fast forward to the present. Earlier today, the General Electric CEO Jim Campbell passed out and fell off the stage he was sitting on. The words that Vice President Biden uttered just before Campbell fainted?

BIDEN: "The company that doesn't innovate, stagnates..."

Biden's closing remarks? Yes, he actually continued with his closing remarks as if nothing happened.

As Campbell was taken away, Biden remarked: "So folks, as my grandfather used to say, 'keep the faith.'"

The audacity! First, he talks about how the company that doesn't innovate will ultimately stagnate, and I hear that and think about how it's the company/CEO/nation/group/individual that doesn't rely on God for all things -- rather than their own mere human agency -- that will ultimately stagnate and die. Then, I hear his closing comments to "keep the faith" and want to scream "HYPOCRITE!!!" at him!

And people say that God isn't intimately involved in our daily lives. But what (if anything) is being "communicated" here through the symbolism? I have a suspicion I want to share.

Well, if we look at what Gibby62 wrote last year in response to the broken RIGHT Ankle, Elbow, and Wrist stories...

"My thought was the the sheep and goats judgement (sheep to the right, goats to the left) and that since it was their right side that was broken, therefore they represent goats or anti-christ because Christ sits at the right hand of the father. The 'right' way is broken."

So, in a sense, a "Great Separation" was occurring (has already occurred). Now, perhaps the message is to MAINTAIN that separation -- to stick to the command to "Come out of her, my people" -- by pursuing holiness and by allowing the Holy Spirit to carry out His sanctifying work in your life.

I don't know, I could be WAY OFF BASE with that one and it could just be me trying to force that interpretation. After all, the past couple weeks I've been driven to pursue holiness more so than ever before. Yes, we all sense that Divine Judgment/Divine Retribution is at hand. If so, doesn't that mean that no more than ever we need to keep His Word close and His Son even closer?

In fact, I’ve been convicted by our need -- my need -- to pursue holiness even more than I do right now. Getting saved, being born again, isn’t a finish line – it’s a starting gun! Why don’t we view it as such though? I submit to you that it’s because we don’t truly respect and value the Word of God like we should, or like we say we do.

How can those who claim to be lovers of Christ, lovers of His Holy Word, not now what the text plainly says about living the Christian lifestyle and allowing the Holy Spirit to perform sanctification in your life from the moment He enters it? It's one thing to make Jesus Christ your Savior, but He must be your Lord (the Lord of your life) too!

Look, I don’t want to give the impression that I’m somehow any better than those I’m sharing this message with. Hardly! This is as much for me as it is for anyone who’s listening. Besides, self-righteousness is not righteousness, right?

It’s funny, and I’m always amazed at how the Lord orchestrates what I call "beautiful mysteries" to show us He’s there, and that He’s concerned about us at all times. The content of this post is a perfect example.

This past week, as I struggled with things, and considered this concept of what it means to "pursue holiness", I received one of those typical religious forwards via email -- or so I thought it was typical! No, this one was anything but!

It was simply called "Bible Vs Cell Phone" and I’d like to share it with you because I believe it will impact some of you the way it impacted me.

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone? What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we flipped through it several times a day? What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it? What if we gave it to Kids as gifts? What if we used it when we traveled? What if we used it in case of emergency? This is something to make you go…hmmm…where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. Makes you stop and think about your priorities, doesn’t it? And best of all? No dropped calls! When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you!

How cool is that? How true is that though? Pursue holiness. That’s what we need to do right now.

No, not as some junk “works-based” theology! I’m not talking about salvation here! I’m talking about allowing the Holy Spirit to work in your life, I’m talking about making Jesus Christ your Lord, and not just your Savior, I’m talking about living out your faith on a moment-to-moment basis so that it’s not mere lip service. Pursue holiness.

I consider the spiritual juxtaposition of these 2 separate groups of related news stories that are about a year removed from one another and I am immediately struck by what I interpret to be the clear message for the Body of Christ in the days, weeks, and months ahead...

As Christians, we are all broken hearted over our sins, but because we have Jesus Christ we will not faint from fear in response to what's coming upon the earth. Remain broken, remain humble, remain strong in Him by fighting fear with faith!

Why? On what basis can we state that with any kind of authority? How about the ONLY authority that matters in this life?

Luke 21:36 (KJV) Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Matthew 10:28 (KJV) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Strike Three. Batter Out. Game Over.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please take the time to READ THIS and to prayerfully consider the conclusions and implications immediately.

Here's an excerpt that says it all...

I don’t mean to sound like a pompous (much less a pious) know-it-all as if I’ve got it all wired. This barely scratches the surface. Nor do I want to raise any undue alarm. Those of us in Christ should not be afraid — a command, not a request.

But shouldn’t it be pretty obvious by now from the veritable avalanche of harbingers — so numerous, “unlikely” and obvious that even NPR and far-leftist labor leaders are picking up on them — mean that thoughts of business-as-usual (much less proper elections in November) are about as crazy as planning what to eat for breakfast on the Titanic as its deck tilts up to ski-hill gradients in the darkness and gathering spiritual cold? Predicting the moment it will go down is not nearly as important as realizing it is imminent, and why.

You don’t need some crazy Jesus-freak blogger in Boston to interpret this for you. You really don’t. Open your Bible, people. Turn off the TV. Get on your knees now and then. Fergoodnessakes, just close your eyes for ten seconds and talk to the Lord (maybe give him ten more to talk to you). He is as close as your sofa. He doesn’t want you to be on the wrong end of this.

Is that really too much? After He gave you life itself? After he died for you?

I’d love to be wrong about the broad sweep of the judgment that is upon us and about the widespread ignorance and denial that has brought it about and that will suffer under it — I really would. (I’m sure I’m wrong on plenty of the details.) I just no longer see how that is possible. The mountain of sin is piled up too high. The hour is far too late. The signs are too many. If our modern ‘Ninevah’ turns, I won’t sulk like Jonah. I just can’t quite see it at this point.

I don't know why (yes, I do), but for some reason I feel obliged to refrain from the "usual" studies in these parts -- at least now in the few minutes right after reading the referenced study in symbolism myself for the first time -- and instead motivated to devote the gift of time I'm given to weighty spiritual matters like sin, repentance, salvation, and sanctification.

Ghana Again!?!

This is going to sound ridiculous (I'm used to that!), but is there anything symbolic about today's World Cup soccer match between the USA and Ghana?

The last time these two teams met it was in the World Cup back in 2006 in...Nuremberg. Appropriate since I believe that this nation's leaders could face a similar fate especially since we're seeing so many surreal parallels to the rise of Nazi Germany here in the United States.



First, it's odd for the US to even be in this position and to find themselves in this next round of the tournament. Second, I found there opponent to be...timely.

Why do I say that? Because it was almost an entire year ago when President Barack Obama visited Ghana in his first official trip to Sub-Saharan Africa. Let's also not forget that just a day earlier he had his very first meeting with Pope Benedict hours after the end of the G8 Summit in Italy. Remember all of that?

You'll recall that students of Bible prophecy around the world were buzzing at the time because this occurred during the infamous June 10th-June 11th time frame that was on everyone's mind following David Flynn's exemplary research that suggested the Tribulation would begin at that time with the start of the first 3.5 years of the Antichrist's rise on the world stage.

One of the most striking images to come out of that visit to Ghana last year? My discerning eye caught this one...



What's the first thing that comes to mind when you look at this photo? For me, I recalled the following verses of Scripture (emphasis mine)...

Revelation 13:16-18 "He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666."

Revelation 14:9-10 "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath."

Revelation 20:4 "Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years."

Look, I know this isn't the actual, prophesied Mark of the Beast per se so please don't think that's what this portion of this entry is about, or even trying to claim. Yet, it's extremely odd to me that a man that many think COULD very well become the prophesied Man of Sin gave a major speech last year to coincide with a time frame we were all anticipating, and knowing what Scripture tells us about what that Man of Sin will enforce upon all people worldwide, it's even "odder" (please give me a little license here to use that word, ok? HA) to see this kind of imagery associated with the very event in question.

What are the odds? I mean, when is the last time you were at a political rally or at a speech given by "The One" and you saw people wearing stuff on their foreheads like the gentleman pictured above? I've never seen it before in my life. Doesn't the "rarity" of such an "unusual" image prompt us to probe a little deeper and at least consider the possibilities? I believe that it does.

I've just been tuned in lately and very sensitive to the unusual events and images that have forced me to think about such things. Sorry. Whenever that happens I want to write about it here for all of you just in case it is important. As always, take EVERYTHING you find here to the Lord in prayer.

I did a quick search in the Archives and found that one instance where I mentioned his Ghana visit was back in September 2009 when I wrote about his excessive use of "Four Pillars" in his policy speeches (make sure you read that column!).

Obama’s Africa policy speech delivered in Ghana illustrated as much about what he hopes will be the US’s own foreign policy renaissance as it did about his desired relationship with the continent of 54 countries and almost a billion people. Yes, he outlined "Four Pillars" there as well...

1. The Buttressing of Democracy And Good Governance
2. Smart Development Assistance
3. Strengthening Public Health
4. Support For Conflict Reduction And Resolution

A week or two later (also in September 2009), you'll recall that President Obama gave his first speech to the United Nations. The symbolism in his speech and throughout that day in other events was so striking and uncanny that we wrote a column trying to document all of it in "Pruning, Pillars, Prayer And Union Station".

The only other times that Ghana, Africa came up again in our studies here was back in December (post-Copenhagen and post-Norway Spiral) in the richly symbolic -- and speculative -- pieces "A Tiger, A Bengal, A Dragon, And Now A Gorilla" and "A Message To His Children About Their Freedom?", the latter which contained references to the planet Venus (in the news prominently this week!) and the number 77 (the focus of our attention in an recent RNR "Special Report" a couple of weeks ago!). Incredible how these things all come together sometimes.

And so it's Ghana again just like it was Ray's Hell Burger again the other day. But stop and think of how highly unlikely it all is to see this kind of BLATANT symbolism emerging at precisely the same time.

What are the odds that the US and Ghana would share the world stage -- again -- at roughly the same time they did last year? Given how prophetically symbolic last year's pairing SEEMED TO BE, shouldn't we also factor in the apparent prophetic symbolism associated with the World Cup soccer tournament itself?

I mean, deafening horns blowing, tens of thousands watching in person and on TV, the coming together of various races/religions, the rainbow imagery, and it's the "World Cup" after all!

It seems as though all eyes are tuned to this event and that they will be for this afternoon's match. Might that be reason for us to be cautiously on guard and in prayer about this day?

Keep in mind that the "terrorists" intended to attack the World Cup from the very beginning. INCREDIBLY, one of the very first headlines to highlight this threat referenced Ghana! This is the image and caption that accompanied this story...

Angola Attack Raises Awareness Of World Cup Terror Threat

Supporters at the World Cup in South Africa face "a deadly serious threat" from terrorists encouraged by the global impact of last week's atrocity in Angola, security analysts have warned.

The lethal ambush on the Togo squad showed the ease with which militants could gain publicity with a copycat attack on a bigger stage, said Anneli Botha, a researcher at South Africa's Institute for Security Studies which does work on behalf of the United Nations.

World Cup organisers reiterated yesterday that political strife in Angola should not be conflated with South Africa and promised that no chances will be taken with players' safety when the tournament kicks off in June. But there was little doubt that the shocking incident had cast a shadow over Africa's first World Cup, even if only by reinforcing the fears of pessimists. South Africa, like Angola, has invested millions in stadiums and infrastructure in the hope that staging a major international event will help bury a troubled past. But experts believe the Africa Cup of Nations incident shows how easily insurgents can grab world headlines with attacks on soft targets.

"Far from needing weapons of mass destruction, terrorists have put a tiny place like Cabinda on the map using simple strategy and a few guns," Botha said. "When star football teams from places like Brazil and England turn up, it could be a gift to aggressors like this."

I just discovered that the word "Ghana" means "Warrior King". That seems like an apt description for the coming Antichrist, doesn't it? It seems to fit right in with this study today. Kofi Annan, diplomat and former Secretary-General of the United Nations is Ghanaian.

Of course, file all of this in the realm of PURE SPECULATION even if the symbolism is intense going all the way back to last year.

Ghana was placed in the "Group of Death" in this year's World Cup tournament. The US faces the Ghana team in the "Knockout Stage", or "Sudden Death" stage of play. Ghana knocked the United States out of the World Cup in 2006. Multiple media outlets are describing this as Africa's last hope too. Fascinating, all the powerful verbiage too, isn't it?

Regardless of what does or doesn't happen, come quickly Lord!

Watch These Before You Go To The Beach

We already know that some beaches in Pensacola, FL were closed yesterday due to the effects of the Gulf Crisis.

Today, we find this video of Destin Beach, FL taken a couple of days ago (or a day earlier) on June 23, 2010. It is unclear at this point whether or not this is just a temporary wave of Tar Balls affecting the area, or the beginning of something bigger. You know what I think. This is nothing compared to what's coming I'm afraid!

In this particular video, oil can be seen sticking to the foot of a young girl who then becomes upset. This happens at approximately the 2:15 mark into the video.

Parents, do the right thing -- USE COMMON SENSE! People, strongly consider LEAVING the affected areas while you still can!

I know, I know. It’s all a coincidence; just like when they covered up references to Jesus and photographed Obama so that he appeared to be speaking in front of a pyramid. Anyway, here’s what’s going to be on the minds of Christians who see this picture:

Revelation 13:5-8 (King James Version)

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

My best guess is that all of this is intended to confirm, in the minds of Christians, that, “Yes, Mildred, Obama is the Antichrist.” But to what end?

The elite know that gun stores haven’t been able to keep weapons of any description in stock since Obama came on the scene. Is this an attempt to provoke something? I have no idea. But when you consider Christian extremists, in terms of mind control victims, you have to look at the triggers that the handlers are going to use to set them off. What are the elite trying to accomplish by carrying out stunts like this? Maybe it’s just a case of: Boo! Made you look.

You won’t find a more agnostic person than me, but, wow, the elite do like to play games with those of us who are… paying attention, so to speak.


Hmmm, we have "death", "Hell Burger", and "42" all mentioned together. Nicely done. Move along. Nothing to see here I'm sure. Yeah right!

Hopefully, this will serve as "Exhibit A" for those of you who still question my assertion that the dark forces of the world communicate and perform public occult rituals through numbers and symbols, which they believe are inherent with supernatural power.

Whether or not President Obama turns out to be the prophesied Antichrist as some believe or not is immaterial. What's important is the fact that there's a definite agenda being played out here for all of us to play witness to. Even the most hardened skeptics can see that!

Why would our own government want us to distrust them? Of course, we already know the answer thanks to the Word of God.

Well, today he returned to the same joint in Arlington, VA except he brought visiting Russian President Dmitri Medvedev instead of Vice President Joe Biden with him.

Obama Takes Medvedev To Ray's Hell Burger

Washington (CNN) - There was more evidence Thursday that First Lady Michelle Obama's healthier eating campaign has yet to win over the President.

Mr. Obama treated visiting Russian President Dmitri Medvedev to an all American lunch at Ray's Hell Burger in Arlington, Va.

In the bi-lat spirit, the two Presidents shared an order of fries.

For the "main course," President Obama ate a cheddar cheeseburger, topped with lettuce, tomato and 'bread and butter' pickles. He washed it all down with bottled iced tea.

Mr. Medvedev passed up lettuce and pickles for jalapenos and mushrooms, then tossed back the all American drink, Coca-Cola.

Yes, sometimes lunch is just lunch even between two high profile politicians on the world stage. Still, you gotta admit that the symbolism is quite striking, isn't it? It's about as loaded as the cheese fries that you just know someone in their party ordered.

Not to make light of things, but you might want to go back and read this past January's "Photos Force Feeding Us An Antichrist?" because if nothing else the images there will raise some eyebrows and leave you questioning things.

Sometimes all you can do is shake your head and laugh because Satan and his minions think they're so crafty. Yet, we know their ultimate fate, don't we? I'll take that with an order of fries on the side!

Paper Cuts (About Trial And Tribulation)

More truth that I came across today that I wanted to share with all of you.

This time it comes to us from David Jeremiah's Today's Turning Point devotional.

Romans 8:18 (KJV) For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Imagine that your friend called you and complained, "My business card was drawn out of a fish bowl at the convention and I've won an all-expense paid trip to Paris, but I suffered a paper cut when I opened the envelope announcing the prize. I'm very upset."

You'd say, "Why be upset? A little paper cut isn't worth considering, compared to the excitement of a trip to Paris."

That's the argument God makes in Romans 8:18. Granted, our trials and troubles in life are often more than paper cuts. But our coming trip to New Jerusalem and the glories to follow are a lot greater than any trip to Paris.

The apostle Paul, who wrote these words, had been shipwrecked, flogged, bound in stocks, beaten with rods, chained, stoned, and treated like a dog. Yet he said his sufferings weren't worth comparing with coming glory.

Whatever we're going through today, we can live in Romans 8:18. For our light and momentary affliction is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

Two 'Minor' Prophets; One 'Major' Message

I received this the other day from Chuck Missler's Koinonia House and wanted to share it with all of you as soon as possible.

We tend to forget all the other Prophets and Books of Prophecy throughout the Bible and typically focus our attention on the most popular or prominent ones like Ezekiel, Isaiah, Daniel, and Revelation.

Today, Missler draws our attention to Joel and Amos.

There are twelve "minor" prophets that are yet to be really discovered by most Christians. (They are called "minor" simply because they are smaller - shorter, more terse, and concise.) Yet they contain some of the most fascinating and provocative prophecies you'll find anywhere in the Scriptures. Here's a glimpse of two of them.

Joel:
Joel is a short book (only three chapters, 73 verses) devoted almost entirely to the most climactic period in all Scripture: "The Day of the Lord," the final climax that we all anticipate. It's surprising that even students of prophecy seem to overlook this little gem. The very name Joel means, "Yahweh is God." As we learn to recognize that Revelation 9 - 19 has Israel as its primary focus, we should not be surprised that most of what we know about that period is from the Old Testament, and much of that from this fascinating little book.

The Day of the Lord:
The primary theme in the book of Joel is The Day of the Lord. It's an important book because it records Israel's place in God's program: from Babylon all the way through to the Millennium. Joel also has a lot to say about the Gentile nations and their collision course to Armageddon. Joel's second chapter reads like news camera footage of modern combat helicopters and troops in action! Except the cosmic effects are most terrifying:

"The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come." -Joel 2:10, 31

Peter also recognized that the astonishing events of Pentecost in Acts Chapter 2 were ushering in the preparation for the end times, and he quoted from Joel to make his point (Acts 2:15-21, quoting Joel 2:28-32). (However, the sun did not darken; the moon did not turn to blood; and the Lord didn't appear with wrath against the nations.) Peter knew well that the Day of the Lord had not come yet: he says so in 2 Pet 3:10. Pentecost was a fulfillment in miniature: Joel saw the end point of the whole process; Peter focused on the onset. This was a guarantee that God would complete the entirety: an inauguration; the firstfruits. (Notice: There is no reason to restrict Peter's statement about the gifts of the Spirit to one particular occasion. If the Spirit was given at Pentecost, and Joel described it to include the final Day of the Lord, there is no basis to exclude the gifts today - since we are certainly still between these two points of time!) Joel also includes some timely details of the climax:

"I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land." - Joel 3:2

"Scattered among the nations," we understand; but "parted my land"? That sure has implications for our current news headlines! (Zechariah 12:2, 3)

Amos:
People always ask me, where is the United States in prophecy? I usually point them to Amos (and Hosea). Amos was a sheepherder from Tekoa (6 miles south of Bethlehem) in the Southern Kingdom, but he was sent to carry the Lord's message to the Northern Kingdom (Israel). (Joel is quoted in Amos 1:2 (Joel 3:16, 18), which means his book was already in existence when Amos wrote.)

Jeroboam II (793-753 B.C.), 4th king of the Jehu dynasty, ruled in Samaria, the capital of the Northern Kingdom, which was experiencing a boom of prosperity from his father Joash/Jehoash (2 Kings 13:25; 14:11-15). He would have a reign of 41 years (2 Kings 14:23). His military strength had prospered the Northern Kingdom: the Lebanon coastal plain had been retaken from Syria; Damascus itself was subjugated. He controlled pagan Moab to the southeast. Jeroboam II's father, Jehoash (Joash) had defeated Judah in war and Jeroboam II retained strength over the Southern Kingdom (Judah) to the south (2 Kings 14:11-14, 23-28).

Thus, Jeroboam II's strategic position was ironclad: Syria was a buffer against Assyria to the east, Judah a buffer against Egypt to the south, and the Mediterranean to the west. They enjoyed peace and the power of conquest for over 41 years, with new markets and trade in every direction; a growing wealthy class with summer and winter homes; and, a BMW in every garage... From their point of view, "it was the best of times."

Idolatry:
However, Jeroboam I (931-910 BC) had instituted idolatry 150 years earlier at Dan and Bethel (1 Kings 12:26-33) (analogous to Aaron's golden calf 700 years earlier). From God's point of view, however, it was a time of idolatry, sexual immorality, violence, injustice and oppression of the poor. From God's point of view, "it was the worst of times." They did not welcome the uninvited prophet from the south. After a brief survey of the horizon of six surrounding heathen nations, and his own region of Judah, Amos then zeroes in on the Northern Kingdom with a message somewhat comparable to that of his contemporary, Hosea. He detailed God's indictment against the nation that had abandoned its heritage. Failing to heed Amos' warnings resulted in the destruction of the entire nation. Samaria, their capital, fell to their enemies the Assyrians in 722 B.C.

The parallel to the United States is most disturbing: even during this difficult time of oil spills and economic turmoil, we still have a tremendously high standard of living. We still can enjoy our summer cookouts and days at the beach. However, we have abandoned our heritage. We regard homosexuality as simply an alternative lifestyle. We change marriage partners like fashion statements. We murder babies that are socially inconvenient. Our entertainment industry celebrates violence, immorality, sexual aberrations of every imaginable kind, and every conceivable form of evil. We have become the primary exporters of everything God abhors! From God's point of view, "it is the worst of times." Amos' indictment and summons are very timely for us today.

Rather than pointing fingers at everybody else, though, the change needs to start at home with ourselves. Are we honest in our work practices? Do we lay down our lives for each other? Are we looking at pornography and treating our spouses with selfishness, or do we love each other as Christ has loved us? Do we treat our kids as inconveniences or as precious children of God into whom we get the honor of pouring our lives? Do we do those things we hate, that God hates? Or, do we wake each morning and say, "I'm yours, Father. Thank you so much for your great love for me. Keep me in the crosshairs of Your will today for Your joy and glory."

Whether our circumstances look good or not, may our lives always be the "best of times" in the eyes of God. And may we remember the words of Thomas Jefferson, who said, "I tremble for my country when I recall that God is just, and that His justice will not sleep forever."
