Humility -- Notable Quotable

Andrew Murray on humility...

"Humility is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing done to us, to feel nothing against us. It is to be at rest when nobody praises us and when we are blamed and despised. It is to have a blessed home in the Lord where we can go in and shut the door and kneel to our Father in secret, and be at peace when all around is trouble."

Now, who's Andrew Murray? He was a South African Writer, Teacher, and a Christian Pastor. But what I particularly love about Murray was his heart for preaching the Gospel and helping the needy because he considered missions to be "the chief end of the church", which is beautifully accurate I think.

During his life, Murray also authored over 240 books on various subjects important to Christians and the Christian lifestyle, which demonstrates a true heart and mind that desires the Lord.
