What We're Praying/Talking About

Our faith in action, or our small contribution in trying to apply what we're taught in Hebrews 5-6 and James 2:17-26 for the benefit of our dear brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ...

A LUF Milestone: Our One Millionth Visitor!

I debated with myself as to whether or not I should even write this. Not only does it go against my very nature, but I'm always conscious to examine myself regularly (2 Corinthians 13:5) to make sure that anything and everything I do (especially here) is for His glory, honor, and praise and not my own.

Even so, the more I thought about it, the more I felt that, in addition to our Lord and Savior, ALL OF YOU needed to be acknowledged in some small way due to the fact that...drum roll please...little old Look Up Fellowship just saw it's ONE MILLIONTH VISITOR last weekend! I know, it's crazy, right?

It was just 2.5 years ago that LUF entered the blogoshphere and today we’re celebrating our one millionth visitor. That's just ridiculous to me despite the truth of God's Word...

Mark 10:27 (KJV) And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

But make no mistake, as the Scriptures assert, none of this would be possible without God...

1 Corinthians 3:7-8 (KJV) So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

At the same time, none of this would be possible without all of you either...

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV) Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Jude 1:20 (KJV) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

1 Corinthians 14:26 (KJV) How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

Romans 14:19 (KJV) Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Ephesians 4:16 (KJV) From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

I must say that this community of believers feels like another family to me, and, in that sense, I've been blessed mightily. Yes, I know that once you become "born again" (John 3:5) into the family of God fellow Christians immediately become your brothers and sisters in Christ. Having all of you in my daily life has simply magnified this truth for me and I am incredibly grateful for that.

You might not realize it, but I genuinely look forward to your comments in response to each and every post -- even when I know that we probably won't agree all the time. Why? Because I love the truth! To be more specific, I love the Truth Himself!

One good thing about deciding to write a post to commemorate this insane milestone is that it has forced me to consider what a blessing this blog has been to me, and what a blessing you have been to me as well. I mean, my gosh! God is great indeed!

Not only has He used this as a tool to help me to focus my efforts and time spent reading, studying, and writing about Him and His holy Word, but He's also used all of you as additional fuel for my fire and passion for Him.

Your comments, emails, IM's, participation, and testimonies have corrected me, encouraged me, enlightened me, emboldened me, humbled me, rebuked me, and taught me so much. There's no doubt about it, I'm the man I am today because of the way in which God has used this forum and all of you in my life.

We’ve seen a lot, been through a lot, learned a lot, and grown a lot. What keeps me going is an insatiable hunger and thirst for Him and His truth let alone the myriad of comments and e-mails from those whose lives have been changed, encouraged, and strengthened by this blog. I truly appreciate those who stop by and would not be where I'm at today if it weren’t for you.

I also know that this will not last forever. Like many things in life, there is a season for everything, and seasons come and go (Ecclesiastes 3:1). The handwriting is already on the wall, and sites like this will be labeled “illegal” and “subversive” and "terrorist propaganda" in the near future as attacks and persecution continue to increase worldwide against Christians who preach and hold to the exclusivity of Jesus Christ.

I appreciate your continued support (and prayers!) as we all work while there’s still light, for the darkness is fast approaching when we will no longer be able to labor for the Kingdom.

Again, thank you all for your readership and encouragement.
