QUESTION: What do these LEGO mini-figures have to do with the success of any NASA mission to the point where their presence detracts from the news about the mission itself?
ANSWER: Nothing...right?
In the initial analysis, I'm not sure yet. How could we be at this point? Still, I do firmly believe that our future includes some kind of demonic spiritual connection with space, which is why this news deserves a quick mention here in this forum. I just can't see Satan letting an opportunity to use 'Intelligent Life From Outer Space' to his advantage pass if the Sovereign Lord allows him to.
Either way, your spiritual condition is what matters most -- not whether we're 'right' or 'wrong' about such speculation as the kind we're going to briefly embark on today.
Sure, while it's ok to speculate using the body of evidence obtained from the holy Scriptures and the world at large, our primary task is to know the Gospel and to preach the Gospel as best as we can.
Give neurotic NASA a passing thought, but don't give them a majority of the time that the Lord has given you. Such belongs to Him in the form of service and worship.
That being said, let's comment on this latest NASA business quickly. Are we really that surprised by it though? It's no secret that, from the very beginning, Jack Parson's personal beliefs in the Occult and Satanic had heavily influenced the organization, and I would argue they do so even to this day. It's why people are spot on when they refer to the government agency as 'Nazca' instead of NASA. Everything's a ritual to them!
I mean, let's be real about it. A simple glance at the names given to objects in space, and the names given to the agency's missions and spacecraft, not to mention the images and symbols depicted on the various Mission Patches throughout the years, will reveal a common thread.
In recent years, we've also seen a sudden change in policies and procedures by NASA's Powers-That-Be that seem to suggest that they are greatly concerned about improving their public image, or interested in making the Space Program and agency 'cool' in a sense.
This is due to such things as 'Mission Posters' that look more like advertisements and usually a clever knock-off of a popular film or TV show. When they're not focused on the advertising/marketing side of things, they're concerned with coming up with just the right Playlist.
That's right, I wrote 'Playlist', and that's because one of NASA's newest 'traditions' is to wake the Astronauts up each and even morning (when they are on a mission in space) by blaring a popular song, which is typically from some famous Pop Star who already surrounds themselves with the same Occultic and Satanic images and symbols.
Yes, to the common layperson the whole thing sounds absurd and tends to paint Christians who point out such things as being 'crazier' than non-believers already think they are. So be it. It doesn't change the fact that those utilizing such symbolism (whether through dates, images, names, numbers, places, and symbols) truly believe that doing so helps them unlock dark spiritual powers for them to yield to their advantage in this world. In a sense, they're right too.
That's not some plot to some modern day horror film either. How do we know that? Well, because of what God's Word already tells us about the existence of Satan, demonic forces loyal to him, and the spiritual war they wage all around us on a daily basis. That's why it's so cunningly deceptive too -- and successful for them to an extent.
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Matthew 10:16 (KJV) Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Ephesians 5:11 (KJV) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Now that the formalities are out of the way, let's jump right to the news from NASA a few days ago that piqued my interest enough to write about them (and it) today in a 'symbolic study' sort of way.
As 'Symbolism Studies' go, this one is pretty shallow so we won't be here too long. It's nothing new either, but this ministry is dedicated to pointing out what seems to be the prophesied signs of the times because that's what we're called to do. That's our goal here today with this subject matter. Plus, if I can use such a subjective analysis as a platform for teaching other Biblical truths then maybe it's not such a bad thing after all.
Still, I want to urge caution here. All eschatological studies (especially studies in symbolism like this one) need to be conducted soberly. So, this is also a prime example of why I highly recommend that you READ THIS VERY IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER FIRST before you continue here.
First, I saw this story making the rounds yesterday...
What NASA Hopes To Learn From Juno Spacecraft On Jupiter Mission
Jupiter, perhaps more than any object in the solar system, is thought to hold the key to understanding planet formation. On Friday, NASA sends the Juno spacecraft hurtling toward Jupiter to probe the planet's constituent parts.
Mighty Jupiter once again is on NASA's itinerary.
At 11:35 a.m. Friday, the agency is set to launch an Atlas V rocket topped with spacecraft dubbed Juno, which will embark on a five-year voyage to the giant planet.
Unlike the successful Galileo mission, which toured Jupiter and its moons from 1995 to 2003, the $1.1 billion Juno mission will focus on Jupiter itself. Among the mission's goals: Uncover in unprecedented detail the planet's structure to determine what it reveals about the environment surrounding Jupiter at its birth.
Perhaps more than any other object in the solar system, Jupiter is thought to hold the key to understanding the conditions and constituents that spawned the planets, researchers say.
Like the Incredible Hulk hitting the fridge for a midnight snack, "Jupiter got most of the leftovers" once the sun formed from a collapsing cloud of gas and dust, says Scott Bolton, a planetary scientist with the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, and the mission's lead scientist.
As a result, Jupiter has twice the mass of all of the rest of the planets, asteroids, comets, and other cosmic detritus in the solar system combined – a mass whose gravity profoundly influenced the formation and evolution of the inner solar system.
'Follow the oxygen'
With its enormous gravitational tug holding material in and a vast, powerful magnetic field holding the chemistry-altering solar wind at bay, Jupiter's interior is thought to present a unique, largely unaltered record of the abundance and distribution of elements present when the planets formed nearly 4.6 billion years ago, Dr. Bolton says.
If the mantra for NASA's Mars missions has been "follow the water," for some members of the Juno team the mantra is "follow the oxygen."
Oxygen is the third most abundant element in the universe, after hydrogen and helium. Because the sun and Jupiter formed from the same gas cloud, one might expect the two to have the same relative abundance of oxygen.
Yet "very little has been observed in previous missions" to Jupiter, says Toby Owen, a planetary scientist at the University of Hawaii and a member of the Juno science team.
Researchers say they strongly suspect Jupiter's storehouse of oxygen lies below the striped layer of roiling clouds that envelops the planet. The oxygen probably is bound up in water formed by combining the oxygen with the atmosphere's abundant supply of hydrogen. Using microwave sensors aboard the Juno spacecraft, scientists will in effect peer below Jupiter's clouds and hunt for water and its abundance, from which they can derive the atmosphere's oxygen content.
By observing the ratio of oxygen to three other key elements Jupiter shares with the sun – carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen – scientists hope to test the model they have of Jupiter's formation, Dr. Owen explains.
If the ratios among the four elements are about the same as the sun's, Jupiter probably would have formed close to its current distance. If, however, ratio of oxygen to these other elements is higher that the sun's, that implies a high water content and a planet that formed farther out from the sun, where ice is more abundant. If the oxygen ratio is lower, it could mean that oxygen combined with silicates in the planet's original parts list, which would then fall and accumulate on what is thought to have been a rocky core tipping the scales at about 10 times Earth's mass.
By taking these microwave measurements at various angles as the craft orbits, scientists also aim to build a detailed vertical profile of Jupiter's atmosphere.
Source of Jupiter's enormous magnetic field?
Another puzzle is the source of the planet's enormous magnetic field – a field some 20,000 times more powerful than Earth's and one that encompasses a volume of space some 100 times larger than that of Jupiter itself. Indeed, Jupiter's moons interact with this field, setting up electrical currents that reach the planet's poles and manifest themselves as bright spots on or near Jupiter's polar aurora.
The magnetic field is thought to be generated by a thick layer of hydrogen – roughly 75 percent of the planet's interior – that, under the planet's tight gravitational squeeze, moves like a fluid but acts like a metal that can conduct electricity. Over the course of Juno's mission, the craft will gather the most complete measurements yet of the planet's field, allowing scientists to tease out the structure of the field and the dynamo that generates it.
Detailed, global measurements of variations in the gravity field will reveal in detail the planet's internal structure by showing how Jupiter's mass is distributed throughout its volume.
A solar-powered venture
All this and more from a craft run off of solar power – the first time a US mission to an outer planet will be operating without plutonium-driven radioisotope thermoelectric generators to provide electricity. Some in the environmental community have protested past missions to the outer solar system out of concerns that an accident at or just after launch could release plutonium into the environment.
Scientists have argued that their destinations are so far from the sun that its radiation is too weak to power their research instruments and the housekeeping electronics to keep the spacecraft operating. But advances in solar-cell technology, combined with newer electronic components that operate on much less electrical current than their predecessors, have allowed the Juno team to operate its orbiter exclusively from sunlight and a pair of hefty batteries.
The Juno craft, hardened to operate in the harsh environment that Jupiter's radiation belts present, sports three solar panels about 8 feet wide and 30 feet long.
When Juno takes up its science orbit – traveling over the poles, instead of along the planet's equator and closing to within 3,100 miles of each pole – it will grab the record for the most distant craft powered by solar energy.
The use of an Atlas V Rocket! The first solar-powered mission! Another journey to enigmatic Jupiter! Oh my, oh my! Breathe people.
Why does news involving Jupiter always grab my attention?
Why is a recognition of what Satan and his minions believe relevant to our studies in a more specific sense than the obvious?
> Jupiter was identified with the Greek god Zeus!
> Jesus mis-pronounced "Hey Zeus" by some!
> Zeus was the ultimate Greek god of Rome!
> The pagans regarded Mount Olympus as the birthplace of their false god Zeus!
> The men of Lystra thought that Barnabas was Jupiter in human form!
Ladies and Gentlemen, these facts are insane when you consider all the times we’ve demonstrated the importance of Ancient Mythology as it relates to end times Bible prophecy. People like Tom Horn and my friend King Wells, Jr. have written books on the subject that clearly establish a connection between the gods and goddesses of old and Satan and his demons.
In ancient Roman religion, Jupiter was the chief of the gods. The name "Jupiter" means "the best and greatest" ("Optimus Maximus"). As mentioned, he was identified with the Greek god Zeus and was the god of Rome. Jupiter was the spirit of the sky and worshipped as the god of thunder and lightning. During wartime, he was sought to protect in battle and was the "giver of victory". During peacetime, he was the god of justice and morality. He was believed to be present during the giving of oaths and transactions. Antiochus Epiphanes wished to dedicate to him the temple in Jerusalem (2 Maccabees 6:2).
Now, factor this in with all the other signs we're witnessing right now:
> Wars and rumors of war
> Tensions in Israel and the Middle East
> Papal Prophecies and their possible connection to the Tribulation
> Culture of Death / Culture of Immorality
> Spiritual Warfare (Black Awakening)
> Alien/UFO Agenda
> Predictive Programming / Mass Conditioning
As interesting as all of that is, it pales in comparison to this next bit of news from NASA related to Jupiter, which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever (thanks Marshall)...
LEGO Figures Flying On NASA Jupiter Mission
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – They have launched aboard the space shuttle, visited the space station and flown to Mars. Now, three more "very special" LEGO figurines are set to fly to Jupiter with NASA's Juno spacecraft.
The specially-constructed LEGO Minifigures are of the Roman god Jupiter, his wife Juno, and "father of science" Galileo Galilei. The LEGO crew's mission is part of the Bricks in Space project, the joint outreach and educational program developed as part of the collaboration between NASA and the LEGO Group to inspire children to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
"NASA has a long-standing partnership with the LEGO company," Scott Bolton, principal investigator for the Juno mission and space science and engineering director at the Southwestern Research Institute in San Antonio, said in a press conference on Wednesday (Aug. 3). "Any of you that have children know that LEGOs are very popular with kids, as well as really helps teach them about building and engineering."
Juno and the minifigures are scheduled to arrive in July 2016 and orbit Jupiter for a year (33 revolutions) before intentionally crashing into the giant gas planet. The spacecraft is set to launch on Friday (Aug. 5) aboard a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas 5 rocket from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. [Photos: NASA's Juno Mission to Jupiter]
Mythological minifigures
"We hope that that [these LEGO Minifigures] will increase awareness of children about the space program and get them interested. This will also help them understand both the mythological studies that went on... and also the contributions that Galileo made," Bolton said.
In Greek and Roman mythology, Jupiter (who was the equivalent of "Zeus" to the Greeks) drew a veil of clouds around himself to hide his mischief. From Mount Olympus, Juno was able to peer through the clouds and reveal Jupiter's true nature. The Juno spacecraft will also look beneath the clouds to help NASA understand the planet's structure and history.
The LEGO Juno holds a magnifying glass "to signify her search for the truth," while her husband holds a lightning bolt. The third LEGO crew member, Galileo Galilei, made several important discoveries about Jupiter. He was the first to point a telescope at the sky to make astronomical observations and discovered the four largest satellites of Jupiter — named the Galilean moons in his honor.
The minifigure Galileo has his telescope with him for the journey to Jupiter.
Made of metal
The trio resemble the typical small toys that LEGO sells, but are made out of metal.
"They are basically the size of the normal LEGO figures which you will see, but they are made out of aluminum, very special aluminum and they have been prepared in a very special way," Bolton said. "They are made out of a special space-grade aluminum. They have gone through all the testing to make sure that they fit on our spacecraft in a way that is like our other science instruments."
The three figures are covered for the flight under thermal blankets, like much of the spacecraft.
"They are all together, right next to each other [on board Juno], being friendly," Bolton said smiling. "They are the special passengers."
Galileo to Jupiter
The mini-metal statues are joined on the spacecraft by another "special passenger," one that also pays tribute to Galileo.
A 2.8-inch by 2-inch (71 mm by 51 mm) plaque also made of flight-grade aluminum is bonded to Juno's propulsion bay with a spacecraft-grade epoxy. The graphic on the plaque shows a self-portrait of Galileo. The plaque also includes — in Galileo's own hand — a passage he made in 1610 of observations of Jupiter, as was archived in the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale in Florence, Italy.
"This came from the Italian Space Agency, who is one of our big partners, probably the largest of the international partners ... they developed this commemorative plaque to honor Galileo," Bolton said. "I think it is a great thing [to] help the public understand the contributions that this great discovery during the Italian renaissance brought to our society."
Galileo's text included on the plaque reads as follows: "On the 11th it was in this formation -- and the star closest to Jupiter was half the size than the other and very close to the other so that during the previous nights all of the three observed stars looked of the same dimension and among them equally afar; so that it is evident that around Jupiter there are three moving stars invisible till this time to everyone."
"The revelations that occurred from that discovery are still with us," Bolton said. "Understanding that we are not the center [of the solar system], in fact there are things going around Jupiter, another planet, certainly affected all of us both technologically as well as philosophically."
Destined for discoveries
"We're carrying all these instruments and of course, our primary goal is to get all this new science data and bring it back to Earth to help us understand how we got here and what's going on [in the solar system], to help us answer our children's questions. Along that way, we also wanted to commemorate and take a little piece of us to Jupiter," Bolton said of the plaque and LEGO figures on board.
Juno's main goal is to understand the origin and evolution of Jupiter.
The solar-powered probe — its three tractor trailer-size solar panels the first to power a spacecraft so far from the sun — will map the planet's gravity and magnetic fields to learn what Jupiter's interior structure is like. Juno's color camera will provide close-up images of Jupiter, including the first detailed glimpse of the planet's poles.
In addition to expanding scientists' knowledge about the solar system's largest planet, Juno's investigations will provide clues about what conditions were like in the early solar system when Jupiter was forming. Knowing more about Jupiter's origins and how it evolved will also help scientists better understand the many planetary systems being discovered around other stars.
See what I mean?
Oh, and did you notice the admission as to why they like to do things like this?
"We hope that that [these LEGO Minifigures] will increase awareness of children about the space program and get them interested. This will also help them understand both the mythological studies that went on... and also the contributions that Galileo made," Bolton said.
What is this? A recruitment drive for our version of Starfleet, which will be announced any day now to replace NASA once 'Aliens' are finally discovered? That is the next likely phase of the coming New World Order, isn't it? 'Proof' that Christianity is 'bogus' because of other 'life forms' beyond the stars? The militarization of space? A 'We-Are-One' global initiative? Pure speculation, of course, but not that far-fetched.
Even despite such an admission by NASA about the purposes of such bizarre things like this, people will read this with a cynical attitude. Never mind the fact that they almost mock the seriousness of projects that cost US taxpayers millions and billions of dollars annually whenever they pull these stunts, because we're the ones who are somehow neurotic -- not NASA. Gimme a break!
I mean, it's not even like this is the first time they pulled an unusual stunt like this either. Check out the following montage...
9 Weird Things That Flew On NASA Space Shuttles
When NASA's space shuttles launch into orbit, they don't just carry astronauts and supplies into the final frontier. There's a lot of other weird stuff that makes the out-of-this-world journey, too. NASA's last space shuttle mission will launch Friday, July 8 on the Atlantis orbiter to deliver spare parts to the International Space Station. The mission will be the 135th and last flight for the program, which began in 1981. But over the course of 30 years, the space shuttles have flown some peculiar objects into orbit. The list of odd stuff that flew aboard the shuttles is a long one, and includes the Olympic torch, a replica of the golden spike from the First Transcontinental Railroad, and rocks from the top of Mount Everest and the surface of the moon, just to name a few. Here are 9 recent space oddities carried into orbit on NASA Shuttles:
That's only a select few too.
To top it all off, did you know that the journey to Jupiter is 1.7 billion miles, or 1 and 7 as in 17 (or one of the Occult Numerologists' favorite numbers)? A 1-year orbit around Jupiter equals 33 revolutions (or the Occult Numerologists' favorite number).
There was even another NASA-related story in the news recently that is just too in-your-face I think, and it demonstrates further just what I'm talking about here...
'Red Dragon' Mission Mulled As Cheap Search For Mars Life
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — The search for signs of life on Mars may have just gotten a lot cheaper.
NASA is working with private spaceflight firm Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) to plan a mission that would search for evidence of life buried in the Martian dirt. The NASA science hardware would fly to the Red Planet aboard SpaceX's Dragon capsule, which the company is developing to ferry cargo and astronauts to and from the International Space Station.
This so-called "Red Dragon" mission, which could be ready to launch by 2018, would carry a cost of about $400 million or less, researchers said.
"I just want a cheap delivery system to go to Mars," said astrobiologist Chris McKay, of NASA's Ames Research Center here. "I don't care how it gets there." [The Falcon and Dragons of SpaceX]
Mission to Mars
The mission doesn't have an official name, McKay said. "Red Dragon" is just what he has been calling it informally.
McKay and his colleagues are developing the Red Dragon concept as a potential NASA Discovery mission, a category that stresses exploration on the relative cheap. NASA is currently vetting three Discovery candidates, one of which it will choose for a 2016 launch. That mission will be cost-capped at $425 million, not including the launch vehicle.
Red Dragon is not in that group of three finalists. NASA will make another call for Discovery proposals in 18 months or so, McKay said, and he and his team plan to be ready for that one. If Red Dragon is selected in that round, it could launch toward Mars in 2018.
Assuming that $425 million cap is still in place, Red Dragon could come in significantly under the bar.
"We'd have money left over to do some science," McKay told SPACE.com here Saturday (July 30) during the NewSpace 2011 conference, which was held at NASA Ames. "Wouldn't that be great?"
Drilling into the ice
Red Dragon wouldn't be the next Mars surface mission.
NASA is currently gearing up to send a car-size rover called Curiosity to Mars as the centerpiece of the agency's $2.5 billion Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission. MSL is slated to launch this November and arrive at the Red Planet in August 2012.
Curiosity will use a suite of 10 sophisticated instruments to assess whether Mars is, or ever was, capable of supporting life. Red Dragon, on the other hand, would actually look for evidence of that life. [5 Bold Claims of Alien Life]
"We'd try to detect molecules that are proof of life, like DNA or perchlorate reductase," McKay said. "That's what we'd be searching for — proof of life through biomolecules."
The Martian surface today is bone-dry and bombarded by damaging ultraviolet radiation, making life unlikely to survive there. But Red Dragon would drill 3.3 feet (1 meter) or so underground, in an effort to sample reservoirs of water ice known to lurk under the red dirt.
Researchers are looking at two possible Martian sites for Red Dragon's mission, McKay said. One is the landing site of NASA's Phoenix lander; the other is where NASA's Viking 2 lander touched down in 1976. Both areas are known to harbor subsurface ice. [Infographic: Mars Landers and Rovers Since 1971]
Partnering with private spaceflight
SpaceX is developing the Dragon capsule under a NASA contract to resupply the International Space Station. The company also hopes NASA will use a human-rated version of Dragon to ferry astronauts to and from the orbiting lab, perhaps by 2015 or so.
But SpaceX has bigger dreams. Earlier this year, for example, CEO Elon Musk announced that the company hopes to send an astronaut to Mars within the next 10 to 20 years. That would beat NASA's timeline; the space agency has tentative plans to put boots on the Red Planet by the mid-2030s.
SpaceX is developing a heavy-lift rocket, called the Falcon Heavy, which could carry Dragon to Mars. The Falcon Heavy may launch for the first time by late 2012 or early 2013, Musk has said.
So using Dragon as a payload delivery system to Mars lines up with SpaceX's ambitious long-term plans. Indeed, Musk has noted Dragon's potential to aid exploration missions to other worlds.
"This would possibly be several tons of payload — actually, a single Dragon mission could land with more payload than has been delivered to Mars cumulatively in history," Musk told MSNBC's Alan Boyle recently.
And as the capabilities of private spaceflight firms like SpaceX improve, relying on them to carry hardware to other planets could make more and more economic sense for scientists like himself, McKay said.
"I want the commercial space sector to drive costs down," he said. He added, by way of analogy: "When I go on scientific expeditions to the polar regions [of Earth], I don't build a helicopter from scratch."
Seriously? It's called the 'Dragon' or 'Red Dragon' and it involves the planet Mars? Oh yeah, and during its mission, it would just happen to drill a depth of 3.3 feet (or 3 and 3, or 33)? No, that wasn't carefully planned that way or anything (wink*wink).
Prince Harry To Be The First Royal In Space?
Army Pilot Prince Harry, 26, is "obsessed with space", say his friends.
According to thesun.com, he has already asked Sir Richard Branson's son Sam for a seat on one of the first Virgin Galactic sub-orbital flights and also hopes to be an honorary member of the elite US space programme after returning from Afghanistan next year.
A minimum of 1,000 hours of advanced jet engine flight time needs to be attaineded by Harry for Nasa to consider him. The prince has already done exceptionally well in his fixed wing and Apache assault helicopter courses.
"Harry has already completed his studies of Land and Sea Surveillance and Oceanology - part of Astro training - and can't wait to get into one of Nasa's T38 training jets. It's his dream to be the first Royal in space," the report quoted a royal source.
"His service with the Army Air Corps has been exemplary, which puts him in good stead. There's no chance of him walking on the Moon, but he wants to train with Nasa - and is determined to get on a Virgin Galactic flight."
What is included in the Nasa's T38 training?
The training scheduled to take place in Houston, Texas, would include Scuba Microgravity, which is performing tasks underwater in space suits. The activity lasts for up to four hours at a time. Other activities are- Extreme G-Force in a giant gyroscope, and spend hours in a pressurised chamber, simulating space problems such as muscle wastage.
It was earlier revealed by Clearance House that Harry will return to Afghanistan as a frontline Apache pilot as early as April next year.
Maybe people have been wrong to focus their attention on Prince William. Maybe, just maybe, Prince Harry will be our 'Luke Skywalker', our 'Last Starfighter', our 'Starbuck', and the world's first 'interplanetary war hero space pilot' following his coming acts of bravery. A 'savior of the human race' because of his space piloting skills against the 'evil Aliens' someday. I'm just thinking out loud here.
At this point, it's probably a good time to stop for a moment and consider where we've been. Believe it or not, it's not the first time we've written about the 'Dragon' spacecraft or Jupiter.
A quick look at what we've already discovered about NASA, Jupiter, and SpaceX in previous studies will go a long way in helping to explain why this popped up on my spiritual radar the other day (and don't hold my admitted spiritual immaturity from a few years ago against me please; I hope it's obvious that I've grown a lot in Christ since then)...

What do we make of all of this then?
In the final analysis, and to reiterate what I stated at the outset, I'm not sure yet. How could we be at this point? Still, I do firmly believe that our future includes some kind of demonic spiritual connection with space. I just can't see Satan letting an opportunity to use 'Intelligent Life From Outer Space' to his advantage pass if the Sovereign Lord allows him to.
In any event, your spiritual condition is what matters most -- not whether we're 'right' or 'wrong' about such speculation. While it's ok to speculate using the body of evidence obtained from the holy Scriptures and the world at large, our primary task is to know the Gospel and preach the Gospel as best as we can.
Give neurotic NASA a passing thought, but don't give them a majority of the time that the Lord has given you. Such belongs to Him in the form of service and worship.

Very cool article.
About Nasa (Hebrew for "to lift up") and other space items, check this out.
http://www.wslfweb.org/docs/SBLWP.pdf A space based laser for the end of 2012... Somebody wants to "call down fire in the sight of men"? ;)
Also, check out how Robonaut fits as the statue of Nebuchanezzar's Dream from Daniel 2.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Daniel+2&version=KJV
http://robonaut.jsc.nasa.gov/default.asp
Head of gold, chest of silver, belly of brass, legs of iron (steel) and feet of miry potters clay (soft moldable clay - tires are made of clay and rubber). The statue is destroyed in the last days and then God sets up His kingdom (in other words, the ritual makes it "Satan's kingdom"). Presumably, the statue, Robonaut, is destroyed by the "stone not touched by human hands" (asteroid Vesta- as in virgin?) smashing the Internatl Space Station. This would be Trumpets 1-4, the Great Tribulation that brings the AC to power.
About faked aliens, IMO, aliens are a ritualization of God, cherubs are greys, New Jerusalem is Nibiru. Mahdi (Mullah Omar) swears allegiance to a false Christ (from the "secret chambers"-maybe the cloned being of Tom Horns books), the "Christ" swears allegiance to the UFO "god". UFO's destroy the world. People think that 2012 is the end of the world. This "Christ" is blamed for all the destruction and diseases that cause the apocalypse. Christians are split: "aliens are demons", muslims are allied with demons VS the secular world and others who now hate Christ and have united under Prince William to fight Islam and Christians. Do Christians renounce "Christ" and accept William as the king of Israel? He is said to be of the Davidic lineage... What will they do?
