Excessive use of exclamation points and whether or not you feel I write with too much hyperbole aside, personally, I think that the Christians responsible for it make a very strong and compelling case, and that when you couple their findings with that of a few other independent, notable researchers and scholars, it becomes crystal clear that the truth is being revealed with greater frequency and intensity, and that's not a coincidence, my friends (2 Corinthians 13:1).
Is this the Daniel 12:4 "unsealing" by chance? Wait until you see where we end up when all is said and done. Like I mentioned in Part 1, I went through each study myself, prayed about them first, and then wrote all 4 parts before actually publishing them here for your time and consideration because I felt that strongly about the prophetic and spiritual implications.
My specific words were...
The conclusions? That the Rapture will occur during some future celebration of the Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah. It is my humble opinion -- again, only my opinion -- based on the Biblical evidence I've studied here, and the signs of the times all around us right now, that we have good reason to think that it could happen this year in 2011, or in only a couple of weeks.
As risky as it is, I will go one step further and say this: I will be absolutely stunned if none of this comes to pass within the next couple of weeks as this study suggests it could (more stunned than I was when I first learned about all of it just a couple of weeks ago). I firmly believe that something prophetically significant is going to happen. No, it may not be the Rapture (though I'm leaning that way myself), but something big. The Lord will do as He pleases though and it will always be in accordance with His perfect Word and His perfect plan for all of humanity. If it doesn't come to pass, then it's only because I was wrong.
Bottom line, this conclusion is reached based on the following spiritual convergence of 'signs of the times' coming up...
-- Sola Scriptura (God's Word; Prophetic Scripture)
-- Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah
-- Palestinian Bid For Statehood At The United Nations
-- Pope Benedict's Visit To A Hostile Germany
-- Natural Disasters Increasing In Frequency/Intensity
-- Lying Signs And Wonders ('Marian Apparitions'; 'Aliens/UFOs'; etc.)
-- Global Economic Crisis
-- Comet Elenin's Arrival
Just to name a few of the biggies.
I strongly encourage you to do what I did. Grab your Bible. Have it by your side and apply Acts 17:11 to everything as you follow along, piece-by-piece, taking it all under prayerful consideration to the Lord.
What it all amounts to is a collection of stunning revelations -- each somehow related by a few common threads that defies logic, mathematical odds, and all probabilities of what others might call 'chance', 'coincidence', or 'randomness' -- that point to the Rapture (or an "escape" like the one mentioned in Luke 21:36) and the beginning of the end (a.k.a. Daniel's 70th Week / Tribulation / Final 7 Years) being within our near, and perhaps even immediate, future.
I pray that Christians who read this will begin to take notice of this presentation -- especially those Christians who have refused to give end times Bible prophecy a single serious thought until now -- instead of splitting hairs or simply wanting to debate things all the time. At some point, we'll all have to submit to the truth (and the Truth) even if we're not ready too thanks to our arrogance, ignorance, pride, and/or stubbornness.
I'm sorry to come across as being 'harsh' here, but it's time to take off the blinders once and for all. I realize that times are tough enough without having to add thoughts about the 'last days' and the 'beginning of Daniel's 70th Week' being literally days or weeks away to the mix, but what's the alternative? Continuing to bury your head in the sand by ignoring the truth in something that right now seems plain as day? That's blatantly irresponsible and behavior not conducive to being a true Christian (2 Thessalonians 2:10; Psalm 27:1).
I suppose the flip side would be to argue that it's equally 'irresponsible' and 'un-Christianlike' even for someone like me to issue such 'dire warnings' akin to what some might classify as 'fear mongering', which I'm sure puts me on par with others like Harold Camping according to some.
I pray that's not the case with you and that you don't feel that way about me or this humble online ministry. This is only about being a watchman and about sounding the alarm to the possibilities (Jeremiah 6:17). Be a Berean and apply Acts 17:11 while taking your concerns to the Lord in prayer at all times please.
Besides, if you're a Christian like you say you are then you should know what's in store for those who aren't living a life with our Lord and Savior, who aren't actively seeking Jesus' return and praying for it, who would rather call someone like me names and dismiss me entirely for what they believe to be 'false doctrine' despite what the evidence from the holy Scriptures seems to suggest; evidence which is also causing other brothers and sisters in Christ of ours around the world to reach similar conclusions right now. Doesn't that count for something?
My dear friends, life is about to get tougher in ways many can't even fathom! My sincere hope is that by being as blunt as possible about this you'll clearly understand that the time for spiritual preparation is almost over. We've been living on borrowed time for so long now.
Will it be God and His way, or your way (under Satan's influence as an enemy of God) and the life you want and think you deserve? Don't be foolish! Examine the following for yourself in a serious, intellectual manner. Take your thoughts and feelings to the Lord in deep, sincere prayer and watch Him sort it out for you. Then, be sure to plan for the inevitable, and begin sounding the alarm to your family and friends and anyone else who will listen. This may be your last chance to do so.
On to Part 2 of this urgent series. If you haven't already, please take the time to familiarize yourself with the Introduction and Part 1 of this series to help establish a firm foundation...
INTRO: 'When They Shall Say Peace And Safety...'
PART 1: Going Home, Saying Goodbye
To reiterate, none of this is written to produce or sustain a spirit of fear in your life. Fear is a sin and it is certainly not a fruit of the Spirit (Job 5:21; Psalm 91; Proverbs 3:25; 1 Peter 3:14).
This series has been written to sound the alarm. For all I know, this may be the last time that the Lord gives me the chance to do so.
Lastly, before we get started, you should know that one of the defining lessons learned during 2011 for me has been radical obedience (John 10:4) at any cost (John 15:20). Another has been learning to hear and be sensitive to His voice (John 10:27) even if it means reconsidering my entrenched positions on various aspects of end times theology.
One of the best statements I ever read about how we Christians should approach each and every study of Bible prophecy comes to us from J.C. Ryle I think...
At the very outset I warn the reader of these pages that he will find here nothing deep or abstruse. I have purposely avoided everything that can be called speculative or conjectural. I have strictly confined myself to a few great prophetical principles, which appear to me written as it were with a sunbeam. I have not attempted to expound such portions of God's Word as Ezekiel's temple or the symbolical visions of Revelation. I have not ventured to fix any dates. I have not tried to settle the precise order or manner in which predictions of things to come are to be fulfilled. There is nothing I dislike so much in prophetical inquiry as dogmatism or positiveness. Much of the discredit which has fallen on prophetical study has arisen from the fact that many students instead of expounding prophecy have turned prophets themselves.
If anyone asks me what my prophetical opinions are, I am quite ready to give him an answer. Cautious and doubtful as I feel on some points, there are certain great principles about which I have fully made up my mind. I have held by them firmly for more than twentyfive years and have never had my opinion shaken about them. I have lived in the belief of them for a quarter of a century, and in the belief of them I hope to die. The older I grow, the more do I feel convinced of their truth, and the more satisfied am I that no other principles can explain the state of the Church and the world.
One thing only I wish to premise before making my statement. The reader must distinctly understand that I do not put forth my prophetical views as articles of faith but only as my private opinions. I do not say that nobody can be saved who does not agree with me about prophecy. I am not infallible. I am very sensible that holier and better men than myself do not see these subjects with my eyes and think me utterly mistaken. I condemn nobody; I judge nobody. I only ask liberty to hold and state distinctly my own views. The day will decide who is right. It is the new heart and faith in Christ's blood which are absolutely necessary to salvation. The man who knows these two things experimentally may be wrong about prophecy, but he will not miss heaven.
It is with that same spirit that I write to all of you today, my dear friends.
PSALM 46: THE 'HIDDEN THINGS'
While Part 1 sort of provided us with a general overview of where we're going with this study, Part 2 begins to unpack all the reasons why I think we have more reason than ever to believe that the Rapture is near, starting with the memorial to mark the tenth anniversary of 9/11.
Open your Bible. Turn to Psalm 46. Why Psalm 46? Well, because this was the Psalm that President Barack Obama chose to quote from during his 9/11 memorial speech.
Here's the Psalm in its entirety...
Psalm 46 (KJV) 1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. 4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. 6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. 7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. 8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. 9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. 10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Anything jump out at you from those verses?
Nothing of special significance, right? Wrong. Check this out!
My Bible has this heading for Psalm 46: "God The Refuge Of His People And Conqueror Of The Nations" -- but the subheading reads "To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song for Alamoth."
The accompanying footnote with that heading/subheading says...
The new element in this title is "Alamoth." The early Greek translation (LXX) interprets this technical term as "hidden things." However, the Hebrew word normally has to do with "girls" or "young maidens." Consequently, the most likely conjecture about this phrase is that it is a technical musical notation, possibly indicating a song which was to be sung with female voices at a higher range.
It's this "hidden things" aspect of the definition that I want to hone in on, but even if the correct translation is "young maidens" instead (which others call "young virgins") then this resulting study and its conclusions still works.
Simply put, I assert that Psalm 46 is about the end times and about 'hidden' ('secret') things. Please check your Bible because, again, most Bible translations even include this ("The Secret/Hidden Things") as a heading to the Psalm. What I intend to demonstrate is that we could make an argument here that this Psalm could most certainly apply to the end times and that there are 'secret' or 'hidden' things within this particular Psalm.
Why should we care? Why might that be important to us? Part 3 and 4 will answer those questions in full detail. It's because I think we have good reason to think that believers themselves will be 'hidden' away in 'secret' (the Rapture?) very soon. For now, I think this verse will suffice...
Proverbs 25:2 (KJV) It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
Naturally, whenever a known non-believer (especially a non-believer who's also a politician, and one that happens to be a nation's primary leader) references God's Word in a public speech we, as Christians, should take notice.
Typically, the words cited are grossly taken out of context, misapplied to the moment, and used to suit their own agenda. So, when President Obama decided to read Psalm 46 at last week's 9/11 memorial ceremony I decided to take a closer look at that passage of Scripture for myself.
This might surprise you, but it wasn't the first time Psalm 46 has been referenced by world renowned individuals either. The song has been favored among leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. An inspired 9-year-old Wolfgang Mozart composed 'God Is Our Refuge', based on the Psalm, in 1765.
Not surprisingly, however, is that the Psalm was evoked after the attacks on America in 2001 and was included in a statement from evangelist Billy Graham that day ten years ago.
In fact, this wasn't even the first time that President Obama has cited Psalm 46 either. Obama has quoted from this passage before, and did so during the memorial service of victims from the fatal Tucson, Arizona mass shooting (the one that involved Representative Gabrielle Giffords) only a few months ago.
The incredible part to all of this (you just knew there had to be one, right?) is that Psalm 46 has some direct connections to end times prophecy.
For that reason, the next couple of posts published here on the so-called 'hidden secret' of Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah (what are the odds of that, huh?) and a possible Comet Elenin-Rapture link takes on an even greater significance I think.
Soon, you'll understand why I almost jumped right out of my seat when I finished this Bible study AFTER the studies for Parts 3 and 4 were already written! Seriously, it's that profound.
We certainly don't have the time to catalog all the reasons why, but let me see if I can perhaps demonstrate the obvious links between both entries/topics for you so that you can prayerfully consider the likelihood of an unprecedented and prophetic event in the days and weeks ahead...
OVER-ARCHING THEME OF PSALM 46:
OMNIPOTENT GOD IS OUR REFUGE IN AN EVER-CHANGING WORLD
-- Even in great natural disasters, God is our refuge (verses 1-3)
-- God is greater than the disturbances of nations (verses 4-7)
-- God who wreaks havoc on earth (as a form of His divine judgment and retribution for the unrepentant sins of mankind) will end war among the nations (verses 8-11)
[SOURCE]
Unbelievable, isn't it? And yet we shouldn't be surprised at all since all of this has its roots in the Word of God.
We must be on to something though. Why do I say that? Because others have picked up on some oddities from Obama's last speeech too. These are people (as far as I know they're also Christians) far removed from me, who I've never communicated with before, who have put their findings online as well. Someone even alerted me to one of the video clips in the LUF Live Chat box yesterday (thank you!), or a full week after I had just about finished writing this.
Before you watch this, please keep in mind that it has been reported that President Obama is scheduled to travel to Denver near the Feast of the Trumpets too. What's in Denver? The Denver International Airport. Odd timing, isn't it?
Let's take a closer look at Psalm 46 and see what we can learn that might be applicable to these times and this series of Bible studies (excerpted again from this Bible study and including my own personal observations too)...
-- If this is a Psalm of hidden things, then we may reasonably suspect that there may be some hidden meanings within this Psalm. However, our problem here is twofold: (1) this is not what the Hebrew text says; and (2) the meaning of the Greek word is probable, but not assured. On the other hand, there are several verses in this Psalm which appear to have more than one meaning, which would correspond quite nicely with our supposed meaning of this Greek word. In other words, it's definitely worth taking a closer look and considering given our previous studies and where we're headed in this series.
-- God is our refuge, our shelter, the person to whom we flee; He is also our strength and our protection. A nice follow-up to Part 1 of this series I think.
-- People constantly get confused when it comes to dependence upon God. This does not mean that we abandon all common sense. When we are on the roof of our home, and the water is rising, and we are praying for deliverance, and someone with a boat comes by and offers us a ride, we don’t refuse and say, "I am waiting on God to deliver me." That boat is God providing you the deliverance. When there are tornados in your area or high force winds and devastating rain showers, and there is a recommended safe place in your house where you can go, then it is reasonable to go to that place.
-- Spurgeon writes: "'God is our refuge and strength.' Not our armies, or our fortresses. Israel's boast is in Jehovah, the only living and true God. Others vaunt their impregnable castles, placed on inaccessible rocks and secured with gates of iron, but God is a far better refuge from distress than all these: and when the time comes to carry the war into the enemy's territories, the Lord stands his people in better stead than all the valour of legions or the boasted strength of chariot and horse. Soldiers of the cross, remember this, and count yourselves safe, and make yourselves strong in God. Forget not the personal possessive word 'our;' make sure each one of your portion in God, that you may say, 'He is my refuge and strength.' Neither forget the fact that God is our refuge just now, in the immediate present, as truly as when David penned the word. God alone is our all in all. All other refuges are refuges of lies, all other strength is weakness, for power belongs to God: but as God is all-sufficient, our defence and might are equal to all emergencies."
-- In verse 2, since "the earth" and "mountains" are regarded by men as symbols of stability, when they "dance" great terror normally ensues. But when the most stable becomes unstable, there should be "no fear" because of the transcendent stability of God.
-- In verse 3, we are speaking of water in terms of its devastating force. The idea is, we can depend upon God in times of natural disaster; we can look to Him in a crisis. God does not forget about us, even when the waters roar and rise up. We find this written as His waters; although Satan is the god of this world, God does maintain ownership and control over the water. Again, it is interesting for the psalmist to speak of things like this, which he possibly never has observed personally. He has never seen movies of these sorts of phenomenon (this is because Hollywood and YouTube had not yet been invented), yet the writer appears to be very aware of the power of these natural forces, which function at the permission or at the direction of a sovereign God.
-- The repetition of the verbs (hamah, "crash; roar," Psalm 46:3) and (mot, "shake," Psalm 46:2) in Psalm 46:6, where nations/kingdoms "roar" and "shake," suggests that the language of Psalm 46:2–3 is also symbolic and depicts the upheaval that characterizes relationships between the nations of the earth. As some nations (symbolized by the surging, chaotic waters) show hostility, others (symbolized by the mountains) come crashing down to destruction.
-- It is interesting that when Jesus speaks of the end times, his verbiage is strikingly similar: "There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and disease. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven...And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken." (Luke 21:21, 25–26). Again, the theme of this Psalm is, in times of great upheaval of any sort, we need to depend upon God, Who will take care of us.
-- Verse 4 says "there is a river whose streams" we read. These words about refreshing waters contrast with those about the threatening torrents of this verse. I suppose we can cross reference this verse with the 'bookends' of Genesis 2:10 and Revelation 22:1-2. This verse also calls attention to "the city of God", which in their present setting refer to Jerusalem, God's chosen earthly residence (Psalm 48:1-2; Isaiah 60:14). Of course, Jerusalem will be in the world's crosshairs in a major way later this week at the UN!
-- Verses 5 and 6 remind us that because of the presence of God, the forces of nature and the nations are no longer a threat to the people of God who dwell with Him.
-- Verse 6 reminds me of the 'Arab Spring' or 'Day of Rage' type stuff going on. Here, I think that more is going on than simply a disquieted mind; we have a mob scene. There is nothing worse than a group of men involved in a mob scene; they lose control, the scream, they yell, they hurt, they plunder, they destroy. This is man at his absolute worst. This is man without restrictions and without restraints; this is man like raging flood waters which destroy. There seems to be a mob mentality which feeds from the most basic emotions of those there. Some do things that they would not otherwise do, under any circumstances. You place a man in the street, in the light of day, by himself, in a lawful community, and he will generally behave honestly and lawfully. You throw the same man into a mob scene and he is liable to hurt, maim, steal and destroy. My point is, as governments become greater and greater in their impact on our daily lives, we become more and more disquieted as a people when things go wrong. When people become so intertwined with their government and believe that their misery is caused in part by the government, they riot, they revolt, they attack their own government. The result is, kingdoms and dominions are thrown into disarray. I highly recommend comparing and contrasting this verse with Revelation 11:18, Revelation 16:14, and Hebrews 12:26 for some stunning similarities.
-- Verse 9 alludes to Isaiah 2:4, which is a direct reference to the United Nations or the very same place that will take center stage later this week. Amazing!
-- God does not change. God can be depended upon. We could even see our own nation destroyed; we could see our precious freedoms lost in this nation; we might witness nuclear attacks against our nation, but no matter what the situation, we need
to recognize that we live in the devil’s world and that God changes not. God is our refuge and God is our strength, He our helper amid the flood.
-- The greatest devastation that we can imagine seeing is a part of the great things which He has set up for this world. What God does was done in eternity past. God set everything in motion, and took into account every variable and every decision that each person would make and He made provision for all of these things. Some things are going to be wonderful and some things will be disastrous; in all events, He is the same God, and He remains our refuge in times of trouble. No matter what is on the horizon, God has made provision for it in eternity past.
-- There is a basic theme which runs throughout this Psalm, which can be changed ever so slightly for a different emphasis. This speaks to the individual believer, whether Jew or Christian, and how this believer may take refuge in Jesus Christ. This speaks of the Jewish people, and how they might take refuge in our Lord. This speaks of the city of God -- Jerusalem -- and how it is preserved by God. This is arguably the primary focus of this Psalm.
-- In this Psalm, we speak of great natural destructions and of the destruction of war, and we are urged to place our trust in Jehovah Elohim. This is something that can be urged for the believer to do at any point in history. However, the disasters spoken of in this Psalm are so great, and yet the resolve so complete, that it is reasonable to suppose this is written for those who are in the Tribulation who face incredible dangers, and on every side. This is contrasted with God’s peaceful city and God doing away with war, which is obviously a picture of our Lord’s rule in the Millennium. The two Psalms which follow Psalm 46 also appear to have parallel applications.
-- As I examine this Psalm in greater depth, a pattern and a theme seem to emerge. The psalmist speaks of flood waters which are out of control, but then he speaks of a city (or the earth) which is sustained by water; and orderly rivers and streams are an absolute necessity to us. In a similar fashion, this Psalm speaks of nations which are raging, which are out of control, just like flood waters. In contrast is the city of God, which is orderly and under control, we have nations raging out of control.
-- Back to verse 6, the implication is that this city will remain safe, even when nations are out of control and even when the earth melts (which could refer to volcanic activity or even nuclear weapons).
-- The secondary theme here is, the God of Israel is the God of the Universe. He is not some powerful god, powerful in a particular geographical area. Prophetically, He will be recognized as such (verse 10).
-- Obviously, since the Ark represents Jesus Christ, and the Ark is being brought into Jerusalem, the universality of Jesus Christ is appropriate to the celebration. Be aware that, being appropriate to the occasion is not the same thing as unequivocally placing the singing of this psalm at that occasion. For similar reasons, one might place this plasm at the opening of Solomon’s Temple. This would be a Psalm to bring to mind during great personal and/or national disaster.
-- It is possible that the Psalm refers to the invasion of the land of Israel by
Sennacherib, and to the miraculous destruction of his host, as recorded in 2 Kings 19 and Isaiah 36-37. Allusions to Psalm 83 War? Ezekiel 38-39 Attack?
-- Kimchi says this Psalm belongs to future times; either to the gathering of the captives, or to the war of Gog and Magog; to which also R. Obadiah refers it, and Jarchi interprets it of time to come.
-- Incredible! A few posts ago, I wrote about the Lutheran Church for I think only the second time ever on this website. Remarkable then that I find that Barnes pointed out that this Psalm has been called 'Luther’s Psalm'. It was that which he was accustomed to sing in trouble. When the times were dark; when the enemies of truth appeared to triumph; when disaster seemed to come over the cause in which he was engaged, and the friends of the Reformation were disspirited, disheartened, and sad, he was accustomed to say to his fellow-laborers, "Come, let us sing the 46th Psalm." Martin Luther himself comments: "We sing this Psalm to the praise of God, because God is with us, and powerfully and miraculously preserves and defends his church and his word, against all fanatical spirits, against the gates of hell, against the implacable hatred of the devil, and against all the assaults of the world, the flesh and sin."
-- One translation of this Psalm besides 'Hidden Things' or 'Secret Things' is 'For The Virgins', which goes hand-in-hand with Matthew 25 I'd say. We've looked at the 'Parable of the Virgins' previously HERE, HERE, and HERE and I highly recommend a quick review at this point in time since it correlates with the end times/Rapture as well.
-- The sons of Korah were a family of Levitical singers. Korah was a great–grandson of Levi (Numbers 16:1). He was united with Dathan and Abiram in opposition to Moses, and was the leader of the conspiracy (Numbers 16:2; Judges 1:11). Leader of the conspiracy, huh? How fitting given the push for a New World Order right now and those global elites working desperately toward that end in league with Satan and his minions.
-- Perhaps the idea of the Psalm is simply that we are all helpless before world disasters, and our safety is in God. Again, wildly appropriate if the predictions about Comet Elenin are accurate, wouldn't you say?
-- Given the precariousness of our nation in this present day, this might well be the Psalm for you to commit to memory.
Just stop for a moment and marvel at how timely all of that is in relation to what's going on in the world right now (or that is about to happen later this week).
I'll leave you with this head-spinning truth, which will also serve as the perfect segue into Part 3 about the Jewish Feast of Trumpets and Rosh Hashanah and it's irrefutable link to the coming Rapture.
It is called many things, and one of its celebrated names is 'Ha Melech', or 'The Day of the Coronation of the King' I learned.
Furthermore, the Feast of the Trumpets on Rosh Hashanah is known to the Jewish people as the day to remember the Great King over all the earth.
Guess what? During that time, they traditionally read Psalm 45 and Psalm 47 -- SEVEN TIMES on Rosh Hashanah. Psalm 47 is known as the 'Coronation Psalm', and it's speculated that this is probably what's going to be sung during the Coronation of the King. Hmmm, isn't that interesting? By the way, I hope you didn't miss the most unbelievable detail. This will be a key point to recall as we continue through this series.
Did you notice what's missing in that description I just gave? Incredibly, the Jews skip over Psalm 46 completely during this celebration that will one day coincide with the coming Rapture (or the one Psalm that is the central focus of this study here in Part 2 today)! What gives unless we're possibly on to something prophetically significant here, folks?
In addition, what do we know about the Rapture? It's traditionally believed that it cannot happen until the "man of sin" is revealed, right? Might we say that Obama's words let's weekend were a 'declaration' of sorts, or a 'revealing' to those of us with ears to hear and eyes to see? The video shared above attempts to make that same case.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 (KJV) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
If you remain skeptical about such an accusation, then I would like you to go back and re-consider the evidence up to this point.
All you have to do is ask yourself one simple question though. I think it's one that the creator of the above video asked: "Why would someone who has said in the past 'America is no longer a Christian nation' decide to read Psalm 46 on September 11th, or the most patriotic day in America next to the 4th of July?" I mean, my gosh, of all the times to pick Psalm 46 he does so just prior to the Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah (and the arrival of Comet Elenin) too. Unbelievable!
I urge you to prayerfully consider this kind of deep spiritual convergence as we proceed with our series. Time may be shorter than you think.
Keep looking up!

Three more unique and slightly different perspectives from other Christian watchmen on the reading of Psalm 46 by President Obama last week that add so much more to this compelling and ongoing narrative we call 'the end times' given to us by the Lord through His holy Word.

So much truth being revealed to us right now that it's difficult to keep up, but we must try (by His power alone) because this may be a 'last call' of sorts before 'closing time' perhaps.
Keep Looking Up,
Jeff ('JRed')
Well Jeff,
I certainly agree that Trumpets is almost surely the Day/Feast upon which the Rapture will occur - Just not this Trumpets.
This Trumpets could be significant, in that it could be the start of the Tribulation (maybe/possibly) and since the Rapture will occur on Trumpets, that would be seven years from this Trumpets.
I'm not so sure it will happen that fast. Still need 10 kings from the area around Israel to form an alliance, and a little horn to emerge from the same area and to remove three of them.
While the Middle East is now ripe for forming such an alliance, I doubt it can happen as quickly as it would need to to make this Trumpets the start of the Tribulation.
We shall see soon enough, but I can assure you, we'll be around a while yet.
I will continue to follow your series though and see what else you've got for us.
On the Watcher Forum (David Flynn's site) they have been hyping up Elenin for the past couple of months at least. I'm thinking it will come and go just like every other comet. In fact, there seems to be some evidence that it is disintegrating and may be just a memory fairly soon.
just found this
President Obama has been ordered to the underground bunkers at the Denver International Airport on the27th sept.

Hi Jeff!
Ive been following this series with much eagerness! I cant wait to read the other parts! I jus want to say that i absolutely agree with you on the significance of Rosh Hashanah and though i do not think this coming Feast will bring the Rapture, im excited to see what God has in store. I think this Rosh Hashanah will certainly bring earth shaking/changing event/signs.
You may already know this but i was blown away to learn some of the others names for Rosh Hashanah are 'the concealnent' and 'the wedding feast of the messiah'...isnt that so amazing!? You might be interested in what Augusto Perez from theappearance.com has to say about the times were in. He is such a great and amazing man of God and also blieves a future Rosh Hashanah will bring the Rapture.
Jesus is coming soon! :) :)
All I can say about this article is Amen, Amen, and Amen!
I JUST sent an E-Mail to nabiy4america stating exactly this:
I quote you:
In addition, what do we know about the Rapture? It's traditionally believed that it cannot happen until the "man of sin" is revealed, right? Might we say that Obama's words last weekend were a 'declaration' of sorts, or a 'revealing' to those of us with ears to hear and eyes to see? The video shared above attempts to make that same case."
I agree - the revealing is for the elect - those that belong to the Lord that have eyes to see. And there are many that now agree that the son of perdition has been revealed.

JRed:
I have had the thought that if satan's minions ARE heading to earth with the debris trail from Elenin, then the time of satan being "kicked out of heaven" has already transpired and the "power" of the Kingdom is now at hand.
Farfetched? Perhaps. However, truth is surfacing at a record rate to those that walk with the Spirit of Truth - the Holy Spirit.

Interesting to say the least.
Say what you will about politics/politicians and needed to wait and see what the actions are (because actions speak louder than words), but I must say that President Obama's words today on the Israeli-Palestinian crisis are surprising...
Obama: 'US commitment to Israel's security is unshakeable'...
Obama: 'Path to Palestinian state will be negotiations'...
Obama: 'Peace can only be achieved between Israelis and Palestinians themselves'...

The plot thickens! I'm speechless right now, folks.
Did you see this today? A heckler at a public speech President Obama was giving in Los Angeles today (or the 'City of Angels') shouted...
"The Christian God is the only and only true living God. The creator of Heaven and the universe. Jesus Christ is God! Jesus Christ is God! Jesus Christ is God! Jesus Christ is the son of God! You're the Antichrist!"
Here's the link to the story and video: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/09/26/heckler_calls_obama_the_antichrist_at_la_fundraiser.html
Now, just stop and think this through for a moment with me.
My dear friends, never mind how this event will be used to further marginalize us believers in Christ, but isn't it something how THIS IS THE FIRST TIME since Obama has been a political figure and in the limelight/spotlight that someone in the crowd confronted him like this, even though the charge has been out there and existed for years now? Plus, of all the times for it to happen for the very first time, you mean to tell me it's just 'coincidence' that it happened during THE SAME TIMEFRAME when so many of us are in a heightened state of prophetic awareness? Unreal, isn't it?
Look, this to me is just another piece of the prophetic puzzle that we need to pay close attention to right now...just in case.
On a quick side note, I thought it was VERY INTERESTING how the crowd shouted down this man's words (and actually booed at what he said about our God!), and then, when Obama parroted some of what the man in the crowd had said, they responded with what the article called "tepid" applause.
Tepid is synonymous with lukewarm.

Matthew 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.

I suppose there's 'nothing to see here', right? No prophetic relevance whatsoever, huh?
