Saudis Underwrite One World Religion

See, this is why all those works of fiction written about end times Bible prophecy always seem to include some Austrian or the city of Vienna as a key focal point to the plot.

Today, I just learned that the Austrian city of Vienna will be home to an 'International Center For Interfaith And Cultural Dialogue' initiated and funded by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.

The mission of the 'King Abdullah Interfaith Dialogue Center'?

"The opening of the center would lead to the conducting of a number of interfaith and cultural dialogue programs to promote world peace and peaceful coexistence of the followers of different faiths."

Of course, it seems like we've been pointing out this next verse a lot lately in response to such numerous news reports...

1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Not sure how we missed this, but Rob Kerby of
Beliefnet News published a story on October 14th that the Saudis are underwriting an organization to foster a One World Religion.

Saudis Underwrite Organization To Bring World’s Religions Under One Roof

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is financing a new organization designed to bring all the world’s religions together.

“The organization hopes to prevent conflict through interfaith dialogue,” writes Spencer Kimball for the German news site Deutsche Welle. ”The foreign ministers of Austria, Saudi Arabia and Spain signed the founding treaty of a new international organization designed to foster dialogue between the world’s major religions on Thursday.”

“The thesis is valid that world peace cannot exist without peace between the world’s major religions,” Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said during the signing ceremony in Vienna, according to Deutsche Welle:

The King Abdullah Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, initiated and financed largely by Saudi money, is set to have its seat in Vienna. Plans envision an organization with a governing body composed of 12 representatives from the world’s five largest religions.

The governing body is set to be staffed by two Muslims (Sunni and Shiite), three Christians (Catholic, Anglican and Orthodox), a Buddhist, a Hindu and a Jew. The organization will also have a consulting body with 100 representatives from the five world religions plus other faiths as well as academics and members of civil society.

Austria’s Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger said that the organization’s structures are designed to ensure that none of the represented religions dominates the organization. The three founding states are also open to the membership of other countries, according to Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez Garcia-Herrera.

Saudi King Abdullah initiated the idea for the center after visiting Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in 2007, the first Saudi monarch to do so. Shortly thereafter, King Abdullah stated that Christians and Muslims should offer a common message of peace to humanity.

Abdullah then initiated an interfaith dialogue in Mecca in 2008 followed by a second meeting in Madrid with Jewish representation. A third meeting took place in Vienna’s Hofburg in 2009, where the concept of the organization was agreed upon.

The Initiative of Liberal Muslims protested Thursday’s signing ceremony in Vienna, saying that the center was an attempt by Saudi Arabia to spread a conservative form of Islam.

The idea is not new. In 2003, the Christian Broadcasting Network reported on a UN-sponsored summit of the world’s religions.

“A one world government and a one world religion — it may just sound like fiction from the popular Left Behind novel series,” reported Wendy Griffith for CBN News. “But some Christians say this scenario may be closer than most people think. Earlier this fall in Geneva, hundreds of spiritual and religious leaders met for a peace summit. And although all the major faiths were there, including some who claim to represent Christianity, it was clear that Jesus was not invited.”

To say that many Christians do not welcome the notion of a one-world religion would be an incredible understatement. Just in recent weeks, longtime TV prophecy preacher Jack Van Impe ended decades of broadcasting on the Trinity Broadcasting Network — charging that popular author and pastor Rick Warren has been too cozy with Muslims. Van Impe charged that the intent is a merger of Islam and Christianity — Chrislam. Warren scoffs at the notion, saying that he supports a Christian-Muslim dialogue — and that Christians are required to love all Muslims and win them to Jesus.

In 1997 another conference raised alarms.

“Nearly 200 delegates wrapped up a week-long interfaith meeting at Stanford on Friday, predicting they had given birth to a movement as well as a spiritual institution: the United Religions,” reported the California newspaper San Jose Mercury’s religion and ethics writer Richard Scheinin. “The ‘spiritual United Nations,’ as some have referred to it, would be a world assembly for humanity’s myriad spiritual traditions. The international ‘summit conference’ brought together delegates from every continent to inaugurate formal efforts to figure out the organization’s structure and mission and launch a charter-writing process. After several years of talking, the initiative’s planners had finally gotten down to business.

“‘You are deputized!’ the Rev. William E. Swing, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of California, told delegates as they prepared to go home. ‘Tell the people that there is a United Religions, and that somewhere in the world, it is beginning to happen: that the religions are going to have an oasis where they can talk about peace.’”

So, will it happen this time?

Oh, it will happen. Bible prophecy guarantees it (Revelation 13:12).

Folks, the truth is that we're very close to the prophesied beginning of the end. Of that, you can be certain. This news all by itself would confirm as much, but it's this news coupled with other headlines pertaining to a One World Government and One World Economy/One World Currency that make that crystal clear for us.

It definitely puts
the Pope's recent 'interfaith' party last week in a whole new light, doesn't it?

This Center is a direct descendant of the
'National Dialogue' from a few years ago. In July 2008, King Abdullah (partnered with King Juan Carlos of Spain) hosted the National Dialogue in Madrid towards opening up discussion and minds of differing religions and practices.

Roughly 3.5 years later (that's an interesting number, huh?) the Center, and possibly a United Religions, is finally born. That's because the King Abdullah Interfaith Dialogue Center was a specific recommendation made following the
'Madrid Declaration' held in Madrid back in 2008.

What's up with the Saudis lately? Let's not forget that they expressed their opinion quite loudly on the world stage a few weeks back in regards to the Palestinian's bid for statehood at the United Nations...

Saudi Arabia Snubs U.S.; Calls For Full PA Membership At UN

Saudi Arabia has called for the inclusion of Palestine in the United Nations, signaling that the United States is losing key support of many traditional allies in the Middle East.

"As a result of the continued Israeli intransigence and disruption of the peace process, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia calls upon all member states of the United Nations to state of Palestine on the border of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital, and to grant it full membership of the United Nations," Saudi Arabian foreign Prince Saud al-Faisal said in a statement.

Saudi Arabia added salt to the U.S. wound by calling for key reforms in the U.N. system and questioning the veto option used by the super powers.

"One of the important reforms should be restricting the use of the veto power through a commitment from permanent members not to use it toward actions that are intended for the implementation of already adopted resolutions of the Security Council," the Kingdom said.

Reiterating the unflinching support for Israel, Obama had told the U.N. General Assembly that the formation of a Palestinian state could be possible only through talks with Israel.

However, the bold stand adopted by Saudi Arabia will put pressure on the U.S. as the U.N. Security Council is taking up the Palestinian move on Wednesday.

Riyadh has piled pressure on Washington by turning the world body's attention to the issue of U.N. reform and the demand to cede more powers to the general assembly.

The biggest hurdle in Palestine's quest for U.N. membership is the stiff opposition of the United States. Even if two thirds of the U.N. members voted in favor of Palestine's bid, it would still require the approval of the 15-member Security Council. However, if the U.S. uses the veto power, this would never be possible.

"We are of the view that real reform requires giving the General Assembly a key role in maintaining international peace and security. Moreover, my country believed and still believes that the ultimate goal for any restructuring of the Security Council should be strengthening its capabilities in order to effectively play its role in accordance with the U.N. Charter," Saudi Arabia said.

U.N. rules stipulate that a full membership application requires an approval by the Security Council and a two-thirds majority in the 193-member General Assembly. As long as the U.S. is against the membership move, Palestine's hopes will not be fulfilled.

Al-Faisal's statement also said the U.N. should avoid the double standards and emerge more credible in dealing with the Palestinian issue, adding that no other regional conflict was more influential upon world peace.

That's an interesting chain of events within just the last month from Saudi Arabia and King Abdullah. Some aren't buying it though.

Critics say the Center is an attempt by Saudi Arabia to establish a permanent 'propaganda center' in central Europe from which to spread the conservative Wahhabi sect of Islam. Austrian politicians on all sides of the political aisle have criticized the initiative.

In fact, the only Muslim member of the Austrian Parliament, the Turkish-born Alev Korun, branded the project as "highly absurd", saying that Austrian Foreign Minister Spindelegger, "must be either incredibly naïve or only interested in business relations with Saudi Arabia" due to breaches of human rights in Saudi Arabia.

Can't argue with the merits of any of that. However, LUF is primarily concerned with the eschatological aspects of all of this. Not surprisingly, we've already highlighted the threat that Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah, and the Madrid Declaration present to the rest of the world in previous posts...

NOV 2008: Move Towards One World Religion

NOV 2008: Blasphemy Laws On The Way?

By the way, one thing to keep in mind here is that these massive global maneuvers toward some kind of 'New World Order' type of bureaucracy will have a domino effect for sure.

What I mean is that once we have a One World Religion we'll need a One World Government and One World Economy/One World Currency to complement it. We know that this is precisely what's going to happen one day. The point I'm trying to make is that it will happen much sooner than most of us probably think.

Case in point, did you know that this Madrid Declaration led to successive annual global conferences designed to get everyone on the same page about various key issues facing the world? Did you know that the Madrid Declaration sponsored a global economic forum called
'Psychoeconomy!' in 2010 with the expressly stated purpose to reshape not just the global economy, but the entire global political structure?

If you really take the time to examine the evidence going back to 2007, then you quickly discover that much progress has been made towards a New World Order of sorts and all behind-the-scenes.

These latest public pronouncements merely demonstrate how successful they've been in the dark and how close The-Powers-That-Be are to thrusting it upon the rest of the unsuspecting world. Still, it's all in our Sovereign Lord's perfect timing though -- not theirs.

I find it interesting that we're having this discussion while the G-20 is meeting in France because we all know the purpose of the G-20 was to bind together the world’s economies. It will be interesting to see how things develop given the EU's present financial crisis.

Speaking of a catastrophic collapse, don't think that such a scenario is highly unlikely. Even if we remove God's Word from the equation we're left with the same conclusions. That's because a University of Zurich study 'proves' that a small group of companies -- mainly banks -- wields huge power over the global economy.

The study is the first to look at all 43,060 transnational corporations and the web of ownership between them -- and created a 'map' of 1,318 companies at the heart of the global economy.

The study found that 147 companies formed a 'super entity' within this, controlling 40 percent of its wealth. All own part or all of one another. Most are banks -- the top 20 includes Barclays and Goldman Sachs. But the close connections mean that the network could be vulnerable to collapse.

Last but not least, it was just last week when the Vatican threw their hat into the ring and talked about the 'morals' needed to foster a strong global economy.

It is unlikely that a one-world economic system, described in Revelation 13, would be set up overnight. Clearly, a foundation would have to be laid beforehand before it could be put into action. That means this foundation, as well as the environment to even set up this foundation, would need to come prior to the point at which the coming world ruler steps into position.

Though it seems an unlikely candidate to do so, it appears that the Vatican may be fulfilling a role to parlay it into prepping for the foundation necessary to this kind of arrangement. In a possible step toward a one-world economic system, the Vatican recently called for a new global economic authority. The document put forth by the Vatican calls for a new global economic authority that could impose penalties on member states as "way of ensuring that they possess efficient markets." This plan would involve the establishment of a central world bank to rule over financial institutions that have become outdated and often ineffective in dealing fairly with crises. It would also give this new authority the power to tax financial transactions.

The document submitted by the Vatican to lay out this plan stated: "The economic and financial crisis which the world is going through calls everyone, individuals and peoples, to examine in depth the principles and the cultural and moral values at the basis of social coexistence."

Hmmm. This sounds suspiciously like a giant leap toward a one-world economic system. If so, and if God chooses to utilize this, we could be seeing the foundation laid toward the fulfillment of the global economy as portrayed in Revelation 13:16-18—the forcing of the world's population to take the mark of the beast.

I rest my case.

Bottom line, if a One World Religion is close then so is a One World Economy/One World Currency. Not coincidentally, Revelation 13 describes them both for us.

You might want to read up on things.

I do believe this is a "sign of the times."

However, I think you are fooling yourself if you think the antichrist and false prophet's one-world religion is going to be a conglomeration of faiths.

I believe what is coming will reject ALL current and known GODS and GODDESSES and will be alien in nature.

Once the "cat is out of the bag" the world's view of "religion" will change.

And I don't think that happens while Christians are on the earth because the Holy Spirit/restrainer thing.

Anonymous... It WILL be a conglomerate of faiths, with the Alien gospel as the umbrella tieing all together with a "so-called" truth. They will say that there is a touch of truth in all of the religions (so that none have to admit they are wrong), but that human nature being what it is could not possibly comprehend the whole truth. That way any and all doctrines of faith can be discarded or adopted at will to pull everyone together. If you don't believe that then you should study eschatology from other religions and observe the crazy convergences between them. For example, many do not know this, but Muslims await the return of Jesus to earth who will usher in their Mahdi.

Well, that is the crux of the problem, is the one world religion atheist (Buddhist)/ faux Judaism (apostate King Solomon freemasonry), or Catholicism stripped of Christianity? Or some combination of all? Or something else?

IMO, the Pope and maybe Prince Al-Bashar are the 2 witnesses (a prototype antichrist and false prophet (the FP is in charge of the monetary system, maybe there is a Muslim petro-currency.)

If you look at the Pope, he started his call for the NWO on 7-7-9 with his encyclical, Charity in Truth. Add 1260 days to 7-7-9, you get 12-18-12.

If you recall, Glenn Beck had a "restore Jerusalem" rally, a veiled reference to Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy - in actuality it was a Satanic ritual to produce the antichrist. This took place on 8-24-11. Add 70 weeks, you get 12-25-12.

So, the literal 70th week is 12-18-12 through 12-25-12. The Pope makes a covenant with the many for one week, that covenant is the creation of the NWO. The covenant is broken in the middle of that 70th week, 12-21-12.

The 11-9-11 Fema alert is related to this timetable also:

Funny thing that Jack Van Impe is quoted in this artical; "Just in recent weeks, longtime TV prophecy preacher Jack Van Impe ended decades of broadcasting on the Trinity Broadcasting Network — charging that popular author and pastor Rick Warren has been too cozy with Muslims. Van Impe charged that the intent is a merger of Islam and Christianity — Chrislam."

I stopped watching Van Impe years ago when he 'cozied' up to the Popes and all their false doctrines. His continuous exalting of all things Catholic and his squishy attitude of finding common ground with Catholicism made me lose respect for this one time respected Bible preacher.

I think the One World Religion will be Luciferian; however, it will portray Satan & his Fallen Angels as victims. It will claim Yahweh was keeping them from something they "outright deserve"; ie: the Lord's Throne. This religion will also claim He is doing the same thing to the Human Race. "Woe to those who believe good is evil & evil is good." Those seeds have already been planted, folks. And they're being watered & "cared" for. Be careful, my friends. We are truly in dangerous times. Vaia con DIOS!!
