Wrath Of God -- Notable Quotable

Paul Washer said this of Hell...


"Don't think my friend that Hell is hell because God is not there... That's a very popular teaching. [Preachers say] 'Hell is hell because God's not there.' ... No, Hell is hell because God is there! His wrath is there. His face is set against them throughout all eternity. Don't think, in Hell you're going to escape God. May the sober reality of hell be in our minds and heart. May we be grieved over our lack of burden for the lost. 'And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath (Jeremiah 21:5).'"

You know, I never thought of it like that before, but he's absolutely right.

What a sobering thought.
